  • Apr 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: fix circular locking dependency in nci_close_device nci_close_device() flushes rCVE-2026-31509 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: fix circular locking dependency in nci_close_device nci_close_device() flushes rx_wq and tx_wq while holding req_lock. This causes a circular locking dependency because nci_rx_work() running on rx_wq can end up taking req_lock too: nci_rx_work -> nci_rx_data_packet -> nci_data_exchange_complete -> __sk_destruct -> rawsock_destruct -> nfc_deactivate_target -> nci_deactivate_target -> nci_request -> mutex_lock(&ndev->req_lock) Move the flush of rx_wq after req_lock has been released. This should safe (I think) because NCI_UP has already been cleared and the transport is closed, so the work will see it and return -ENETDOWN. NIPA has been hitting this running the nci selftest with a debug kernel on roughly 4% of the runs.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfs: Fix read abandonment during retry Under certain circumstances, all the remaining subrequests from a read request will get abandoned during retry. The abandonment process expects the 'subreq' variable to be set to the place to start abandonment from, but it doesn't always have a useful value (it will be uninitialised on the first pass through the loop and it may point to a deleted subrequest on later passes). Fix the first jump to "abandon:" to set subreq to the start of the first subrequest expected to need retry (which, in this abandonment case, turned out unexpectedly to no longer have NEED_RETRY set). Also clear the subreq pointer after discarding superfluous retryable subrequests to cause an oops if we do try to access it.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/rds: Fix circular locking dependency in rds_tcp_tune syzbot reported a circular locking dependency in rds_tcp_tune() where sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() is called while holding the socket lock: ====================================================== WARNING: possible circular locking dependency detected ====================================================== kworker/u10:8/15040 is trying to acquire lock: ffffffff8e9aaf80 (fs_reclaim){+.+.}-{0:0}, at: __kmalloc_cache_noprof+0x4b/0x6f0 but task is already holding lock: ffff88805a3c1ce0 (k-sk_lock-AF_INET6){+.+.}-{0:0}, at: rds_tcp_tune+0xd7/0x930 The issue occurs because sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() performs memory allocation (via get_net_track() -> ref_tracker_alloc()) while the socket lock is held, creating a circular dependency with fs_reclaim. Fix this by moving sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() outside the socket lock critical section. This is safe because the fields modified by the sk_net_refcnt_upgrade() call (sk_net_refcnt, ns_tracker) are not accessed by any concurrent code path at this point. v2: - Corrected fixes tag - check patch line wrap nits - ai commentary

  • Mar 20, 2026flatted is a circular JSON parser.CVE-2026-33228 · Other software · WebReflection · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9

flatted is a circular JSON parser. Prior to version 3.4.2, the parse() function in flatted can use attacker-controlled string values from the parsed JSON as direct array index keys, without validating that they are numeric. Since the internal input buffer is a JavaScript Array, accessing it with the key "__proto__" returns Array.prototype via the inherited getter. This object is then treated as a legitimate parsed value and assigned as a property of the output object, effectively leaking a live reference to Array.prototype to the consumer. Any code that subsequently writes to that property will pollute the global prototype. This issue has been patched in version 3.4.2.

OpenClaw versions prior to 2026.3.2 contain a DNS pinning bypass vulnerability in strict URL fetch paths that allows attackers to circumvent SSRF guards when environment proxy variables are configured. When HTTP_PROXY, HTTPS_PROXY, or ALL_PROXY environment variables are present, attacker-influenced URLs can be routed through proxy behavior instead of pinned-destination routing, enabling access to internal targets reachable from the proxy environment.

  • Mar 12, 2026flatted is a circular JSON parser.CVE-2026-32141 · Other software · WebReflection · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

flatted is a circular JSON parser. Prior to 3.4.0, flatted's parse() function uses a recursive revive() phase to resolve circular references in deserialized JSON. When given a crafted payload with deeply nested or self-referential $ indices, the recursion depth is unbounded, causing a stack overflow that crashes the Node.js process. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.4.0.

  • Mar 11, 2026libcurl can in some circumstances reuse the wrong connection when asked to do an Negotiate-authenticated HTTP or HTTPS request.CVE-2026-1965 · Other software · curl · reported by 2499f714-1537-4658-8207-48ae4bb9eae9Medium 6.5

libcurl can in some circumstances reuse the wrong connection when asked to do an Negotiate-authenticated HTTP or HTTPS request. libcurl features a pool of recent connections so that subsequent requests can reuse an existing connection to avoid overhead. When reusing a connection a range of criterion must first be met. Due to a logical error in the code, a request that was issued by an application could wrongfully reuse an existing connection to the same server that was authenticated using different credentials. One underlying reason being that Negotiate sometimes authenticates *connections* and not *requests*, contrary to how HTTP is designed to work. An application that allows Negotiate authentication to a server (that responds wanting Negotiate) with `user1:password1` and then does another operation to the same server also using Negotiate but with `user2:password2` (while the previous connection is still alive) - the second request wrongly reused the same connection and since it then sees that the Negotiate negotiation is already made, it sends the request over that connection thinking it uses the user2 credentials when it is in fact still using the connection authenticated fo

Stack overflow vulnerability in eslint before 9.26.0 when serializing objects with circular references in eslint/lib/shared/serialization.js. The exploit is triggered via the RuleTester.run() method, which validates test cases and checks for duplicates. During validation, the internal function checkDuplicateTestCase() is called, which in turn uses the isSerializable() function for serialization checks. When a circular reference object is passed in, isSerializable() enters infinite recursion, ultimately causing a stack overflow.

Local Deep Research is an AI-powered research assistant for deep, iterative research. In versions from 1.3.0 to before 1.3.9, the download service (download_service.py) makes HTTP requests using raw requests.get() without utilizing the application's SSRF protection (safe_requests.py). This can allow attackers to access internal services and attempt to reach cloud provider metadata endpoints (AWS/GCP/Azure), as well as perform internal network reconnaissance, by submitting malicious URLs through the API, depending on the deployment and surrounding controls. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
