  • Oct 21, 2026The Pulsar broker serves two schema commands on its binary protocol: GetSchema, which returns the schema registered for a topic, and GetOrCreateSchema, which reCVE-2026-105926 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.3

The Pulsar broker serves two schema commands on its binary protocol: GetSchema, which returns the schema registered for a topic, and GetOrCreateSchema, which registers a new schema version for an existing topic. The broker handled both commands after checking only that the client connection was authenticated. Unlike the broker's other topic commands, such as those for creating producers and consumers or for looking up topics, these two commands did not check whether the authenticated client was authorized for the target topic. The Pulsar REST API endpoints for schemas were not affected. An authenticated client without any permission on the target topic, namespace or tenant could use these commands to: - read the schema registered for a topic in another namespace or tenant, disclosing the schema definition such as record field names and types. Message payloads are not disclosed. - register a new schema version on an existing topic in another namespace or tenant. The topic's schema compatibility and schema auto-update policies still apply. The issue does not allow message data to be read or modified, but a registered schema version can cause legitimate producers and consumers of th

  • Oct 21, 2026A flaw was found in the PathResourceManager component of the Undertow web server.CVE-2026-114370 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatLow 3.7

A flaw was found in the PathResourceManager component of the Undertow web server. This component is responsible for serving static files from the file system. The issue occurs because the mechanism used to verify if a symbolic link points to a safe location only checks if the target path starts with a specific string, without ensuring it matches a full directory name. This could allow an attacker to access files in a sibling directory if that directorys name starts with the same characters as an authorized safe directory.

Vyper 0.3.4 through 0.5.0b1 computes the remaining blueprint size in create_from_blueprint by uint256 subtraction without first checking that code_offset is below the blueprint's code size, so a huge offset wraps to a small positive value. The RemoteUserStoreManagerService does not sufficiently validate password change attempts when the password history validation feature is enabled. This oversight allows an attacker to repeatedly attempt password guesses for a user account without being adequately restricted. Exploiting this vulnerability enables an attacker to discover a user's password through brute force, leading to account impersonation. The success rate of such an attack is influenced by the complexity of the targeted user's password, with simpler passwords increasing the likelihood of compromise.

Cpanel::JSON::XS versions from 4.51 before 4.80 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by revalidating the remaining buffer per value in incr_parse. At the first non-ASCII byte in a string, the decoder validates UTF-8 from there to the end of its input. incr_parse decodes each buffered value with a fresh decoder, so every value revalidates the rest of the buffer, and doubling the input quadruples the work. A peer that sends about a megabyte of ordinary non-ASCII JSON in one read ties up the process for seconds of CPU time.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: spacemit: clear TX descriptor on fragment mapping failure emac_tx_mem_map() writes TX_DESC_0_OWN into the ring descriptor for every slot beyond old_head as soon as that slot's memset()'d local copy is committed with "*tx_desc_addr = tx_desc", i.e. before the buffers for that slot have necessarily all been mapped successfully. If emac_tx_map_frag() then fails on a later fragment, the err_free_skb path calls emac_free_tx_buf() to unmap and drop the skb, but leaves the already-written descriptor memory untouched, and tx_ring->head is never advanced past old_head (the "tx_ring->head = head" store is skipped by the goto). So a slot between old_head and the rolled-back head can be left with TX_DESC_0_OWN set and buffer_addr_{1,2} pointing at DMA mappings that emac_free_tx_buf() just tore down, while software considers that slot free again. The next successful emac_tx_mem_map() call only rebuilds old_head itself; if the DMA engine auto-advances into the following descriptor once it finishes old_head's packet, it will fetch that stale, already-unmapped address. emac_tx_clean_desc() already treats emac_free_tx_buf(

  • Oct 16, 2026Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by copying the unparsed remainder per record of CR-only input in getline.CVE-2026-110755 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eHigh 7.5

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by copying the unparsed remainder per record of CR-only input in getline. With eol unset, the default, getline reads with Perl's default line separator, so input with CR-only line endings arrives as one chunk. After each record the parser copies the whole unparsed remainder into a new buffer, which the next call parses and copies again, so the work grows with the square of the input size. A reader with default options that is sent CSV with classic Mac line endings spends seconds of CPU time on a megabyte of input.

The YaySMTP – WP Mail SMTP with Email Logs, Tracking & Reports plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.7 via the putFile function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. The only server-side guard is a .htaccess file containing 'Require all denied' written by writeGuards(), which is silently ignored by nginx and by Apache configured with AllowOverride None, meaning RCE is fully achievable on those server configurations.

  • Oct 16, 2026WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-110252 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4

The WPeMatico RSS Feed Fetcher plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in versions up to, and including, 2.9 This is due to the plugin removing WordPress's wp_filter_post_kses filter from content_save_pre immediately before calling wp_insert_post() with RSS feed content, whenever the campaign's last editor had the unfiltered_html capability — a flag the plugin sets automatically for every admin-saved campaign. Imported item content is taken raw from $item->get_content(), only entity-decoded, and stored verbatim in post_content. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers, who publish or compromise an RSS feed that an administrator has subscribed a WPeMatico campaign to, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected imported post.

The Schema & Structured Data for WP & AMP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'saswp_review_text' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 1.67 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The MailOptin – Popup, Optin Forms & Email Newsletters for Mailchimp, HubSpot, AWeber Etc. plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.78.6 This is due to the `subscribe_to_email_list` endpoint accepting an attacker-supplied `optin_data[form_custom_field_mappings]` parameter without any allow-list validation on destination keys, allowing the attacker-controlled mapping to override the administrator's saved mapping and pass arbitrary `wp_users` column names — including `ID` and `user_pass` — directly into `wp_insert_user()` via the `subscribe()` function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to force `wp_insert_user()` into UPDATE mode on any existing account by supplying a target user's numeric `ID`, overwrite that account's password with a pre-hashed value of their choosing, and thereby take over any WordPress user account — including administrators — leading to full site compromise. Exploitation requires that a WordPress User Registration opt-in form is published somewhere on the site, though the form's UUID is visible in page source and no authentication, nonce, or capability check is required to reach the

Wheels through 4.1.1 derives its default production error-email address from the Host header of the request that starts the application. If no explicit error-email recipient is configured, a mail server is configured, and the server accepts an attacker-chosen Host, an attacker whose request triggers a cold start can direct later error emails to an address under their control for that application's lifetime. Emails disclose error and request metadata; on engines/versions where scope dumps render, they may also disclose configuration secrets and other users' session/cookie data. On the Lucee 7 engine, scope dumps fail to render, limiting disclosure to header fields. This is fixed in 4.1.2.

  • Oct 16, 2026Customer Email Verification for WooCommerce: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-104745 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1

The Customer Email Verification for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via the `alg_wc_ev_verify_email` parameter in versions up to, and including, 3.3.0. The vulnerability exists because `alg_wc_ev_generate_user_code()` generates the per-user activation secret using `wp_rand(100)` when the plugin's 'Encoding method' is set to 'hashids', producing only ~101 possible values (~7 bits of entropy); the resulting token is a reversible Hashids encoding with no cryptographic MAC, and the unauthenticated `verify()` handler — hooked to `init` at `PHP_INT_MAX` with no nonce check and no rate limiting — accepts and acts on the attacker-controlled `?alg_wc_ev_verify_email=` GET parameter directly. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to gain authentication as any unverified WordPress account, including administrator-level accounts, by brute-forcing the trivially small activation code space via a forged verification URL. Exploitation requires that the 'Encoding method' setting be changed to 'hashids' (non-default), that the attacker recover or brute-force the Hashids salt (which defaults to an `md5(time())` value set at first initialization),

  • Oct 15, 2026AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing.CVE-2026-94621 · Other software · aliasvault · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3

AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. Prior to 0.30.3, the AliasVault server API favicon extractor validates a user-supplied hostname with a first DNS lookup but allows the HTTP client to perform a second DNS lookup when connecting. An authenticated low-privileged user operating an attacker-controlled authoritative DNS server can return a public address during validation and a private address during connection, causing a publicly reachable self-hosted server to issue HTTP or HTTPS requests to internal hosts. A valid image response is returned in Base64 form, while other responses can expose limited timing and error information for internal-network reconnaissance. Exploitation requires a publicly reachable self-hosted instance with public registration enabled, an authenticated AliasVault account, an attacker-controlled authoritative DNS server, and a resolver that permits rebinding; default checks limit requests to ports 80 and 443. The browser extensions, web application, and mobile applications are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.30.3.

AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. Prior to 0.29.4, the AliasVault browser extension passkey provider does not bind passkey requests to the actual webpage origin or verify that the requested relying-party identifier matches the current website. A malicious website can provide forged origin and relying-party values and, if a victim with a matching stored passkey approves the AliasVault passkey prompt, obtain a valid assertion for a different website. Exploitation requires the extension to be installed, unlocked, and configured as a passkey provider, requires a stored passkey for the impersonated site, and cannot occur silently because the victim must approve the prompt. In Symfony YAML prior to versions 5.4.54, 6.4.45, 7.4.18, and 8.1.6, Yaml\Parser::lexInlineStructure() recursed through lexInlineMapping() and lexInlineSequence() for every { and [ of an inline collection, without entering the nesting level that the rest of the parser bounds with maxNestingLevel. • Oct 15, 2026When semop(2) blocks waiting for a semaphore condition, it releases the per-set lock and sleeps.CVE-2026-58098 · Other software · FreeBSD · reported by secteam@freebsd.orgHigh 8.4

When semop(2) blocks waiting for a semaphore condition, it releases the per-set lock and sleeps. Upon waking, it checks the sequence number embedded in the semaphore set's IPC identifier to detect whether the set was removed while the caller was asleep. This sequence number is only 15 bits wide. If enough semaphore sets are created and destroyed in the same table slot while a caller is blocked, the counter wraps around, and semop(2) may falsely conclude that the original set still exists. The subsequent access to a semaphore within the set may then be out of bounds. An unprivileged local user can trigger an out-of-bounds access on kernel heap memory, potentially leading to privilege escalation.

Wheels 1.1.8 through 4.1.1 allows SQL injection when caller-supplied quoted values are parsed again as SQL by dynamic finders (such as findOneByEmail), the query builder's where(property, value) and where(property, operator, value), string/UUID-key lookup paths (findByKey, updateByKey, deleteByKey and findOrCreateBy...), and validatesUniquenessOf. The parser incorrectly treats a doubled single quote as the end of a literal. Applications passing request data to these APIs can expose authentication, password-reset or token lookups, and data to unauthorized access; numeric-column values are not affected. There is a similar concern for query-builder whereBetween() in 4.0.0 through 4.1.1: string/date bounds can alter SQL on MySQL/MariaDB with backslash escaping enabled. This is fixed in 4.1.2.
