  • Aug 11, 2026Affected versions of cti-transmute allow authenticated users to add or remove emoji reactions on comments without first checking whether those users are authoriCVE-2026-73155 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

Affected versions of cti-transmute allow authenticated users to add or remove emoji reactions on comments without first checking whether those users are authorized to view the target comment. The vulnerable react() handler passed an attacker-controlled comment_id directly to comments_repo.toggle_reaction() after only validating that the ID existed syntactically and that the requested emoji was permitted. Because comment-level visibility was not enforced, a user who could identify the ID of a private or otherwise inaccessible comment could modify reaction state on that comment despite lacking permission to access it. The fix retrieves the target comment, rejects missing or deleted comments, retrieves its associated conversion, and enforces access.can_see_comment(current_user, comment, conversion). Unauthorized requests now receive HTTP 403.

  • Aug 11, 2026Affected versions of cti-transmute fail to apply comment-level access-control rules when generating evaluation report exports.CVE-2026-73140 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

Affected versions of cti-transmute fail to apply comment-level access-control rules when generating evaluation report exports. Although normal comment retrieval filters comments according to conversion visibility, comment privacy, ownership, authorship, and administrative privileges, build_evaluation_report() previously included all evaluation comments without applying those rules. Consequently, a user who was authorized to view a conversion could export its evaluation report as Markdown or PDF and obtain private evaluation comments that should only have been visible to the conversion owner, the comment author, or an administrator. The leaked report data also contained the comment author's name. The fix passes the requesting user into the report builder and filters every evaluation comment using the shared access.can_see_comment() authorization function.

  • Aug 7, 2026Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability in elixir-ecto postgrex allows SQL Injection via the :commentCVE-2026-66838 · Other software · elixir-ecto · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 5.9

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an SQL Command ('SQL Injection') vulnerability in elixir-ecto postgrex allows SQL Injection via the :comment option of Postgrex.stream/4. An attacker who can influence that value can close the comment delimiter with */ and extend the streamed statement with their own clauses, which execute under the connection's role. Ecto exposes the same option through Ecto.Repo.stream/2. Postgrex appends the comment by concatenating it into the statement text sent in the Parse message, without escaping or rejecting */. The option is validated by comment_not_present!/1 at every other execution point; stream/4 never calls it. Because Parse accepts a single command, the injection is confined to the streamed statement and further statements cannot be chained. This issue affects postgrex: from 0.19.3 before 0.22.4.

The fix for CVE-2026-12044 in pgAdmin 4 9.16 hardened qtLiteral and switched sixteen COMMENT ON / pgstattuple / pgstatindex templates to it, but missed several sinks that had been placed in test_sql_string_literal_lint.py's ALLOWLIST on the incorrect assumption that schema, table, publication, and subscription names sourced from pg_catalog via the browser tree could never contain an apostrophe. PostgreSQL permits arbitrary characters in quoted identifiers, so a low-privileged user able to CREATE TABLE, CREATE PUBLICATION, or CREATE SUBSCRIPTION can plant an apostrophe'd object name that breaks out of the unescaped '{{ name }}' template interpolation the moment any user (including a higher-privileged one) opens that object's Statistics or Dependencies tab, allowing arbitrary SQL statement injection in the viewing user's database session. Affected sinks: the Index Statistics query for all-indexes listing (coll_stats.sql, both the 16_plus and default PostgreSQL-version template variants -- distinct from the single-index stats.sql path already fixed in CVE-2026-12044), and the publication and subscription dependencies.sql / get_position.sql templates (both the pg and ppas/EPAS dialect

DBI versions before 1.650 for Perl read one byte out-of-bounds in preparse when deleting an initial SQL comment. The preparse method normalises SQL and removes comments. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/gem: Try to fix change_handle ioctl, attempt 4 [airlied: just added some comments on how to reenable] On-list because the cat is out of the bag and we're clearly not good enough to figure this out in private. The story thus far: 5e28b7b94408 ("drm: Set old handle to NULL before prime swap in change_handle") tried to fix a race condition between the gem_close and gem_change_handle ioctls, but got a few things wrong: - There's a confusion with the local variable handle, which is actually the new handle, and so the two-stage trick was actually applied to the wrong idr slot. 7164d78559b0 ("drm/gem: fix race between change_handle and handle_delete") tried to fix that by adding yet another code block, but forgot to add the error handling. Which meant we now have two paths, both kinda wrong. - dc366607c41c ("drm: Replace old pointer to new idr") tried to apply another fix, but inconsistently, again because of the handle confusion - this would be the right fix (kinda, somewhat, it's a mess) if we'd do the two-stage approach for the new handle. Except that wasn't the intent of the original fix. W

SQL injection in pgAdmin 4 across every dialog template that renders ``COMMENT ON ... IS '<description>'`` for a user-supplied description field. The Jinja templates for Domains (and their constraints), Foreign Tables, Languages, and Event Triggers, plus the Views OID-lookup query, interpolated the description directly inside a single-quoted SQL literal -- ``'{{ data.description }}'`` -- instead of passing it through the ``qtLiteral`` escape filter. An authenticated pgAdmin user with permission to create or alter the affected object types could submit a description containing an apostrophe, break out of the literal and chain arbitrary SQL. The injected SQL runs under the PostgreSQL role the user is already authenticated as; for a connected role with ``COPY ... TO/FROM PROGRAM`` (typically PostgreSQL superuser), this chains to OS command execution on the PostgreSQL host. The defect does not cross a privilege boundary -- the user already has direct SQL access to that role through pgAdmin's Query Tool -- so the attacker gains no capability beyond what their database role already grants. The marginal impact captures bypass of any application-layer Query Tool gating an operator may have

  • Jun 17, 2026Remark42 is a self-hosted comment engine for blogs, articles, or any other place where readers can add comments.CVE-2026-48788 · Other software · umputun · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Remark42 is a self-hosted comment engine for blogs, articles, or any other place where readers can add comments. Versions 1.6.0 through 1.15.0 contain a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exploitable through content-type spoofing. The Remark42 image proxy fetches an arbitrary remote URL and re-serves the response from Remark42's own origin. During the download phase, the proxy determines whether the resource is an image by inspecting only the Content-Type header advertised by the remote server, never examining the actual bytes; during the serving phase, it instead derives the response Content-Type by sniffing those bytes with http.DetectContentType. An attacker can exploit this inconsistency by hosting a URL that advertises Content-Type: image/png while returning an HTML/JavaScript body: the download check accepts it as an image, the serving path sniffs the body and emits Content-Type: text/html, and the browser renders the attacker-controlled HTML/JavaScript as a document within Remark42's origin. Exploitation requires no Remark42 account on the target instance; the attacker only needs to host the malicious upstream URL and deliver the proxy link to a victim by any means, su

  • Apr 22, 2026Short Comment Filter: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-3362 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.4

The Short Comment Filter plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'Minimum Count' settings field in all versions up to and including 2.2. This is due to insufficient input sanitization (no sanitize callback on register_setting) and missing output escaping (no esc_attr() on the echoed value in the input's value attribute). • Mar 10, 2026A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the PluXml article comments feature for PluXml versions 5.8.22 and earlier.CVE-2025-70128 · Other software · Pluxml · reported by MITREMedium 6.1

A Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the PluXml article comments feature for PluXml versions 5.8.22 and earlier. The application fails to properly sanitize or validate user-supplied input in the "link" field of a comment. An attacker can inject arbitrary JavaScript code using a <script> element. The injected payload is stored in the database and subsequently rendered in the Administration panel's "Comments" section when administrators review submitted comments. Importantly, the malicious script is not reflected in the public-facing comments interface, but only within the backend administration view. Alternatively, users of Administrator, Moderator, Manager roles can also directly input crafted payloads into existing comments. This makes the vulnerability a persistent XSS issue targeting administrative users. This affects /core/admin/comments.php, while CVE-2022-24585 affects /core/admin/comment.php, a uniquely distinct vulnerability.
