May 8, 2026i18next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno.CVE-2026-42353 · Other software · i18next · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2
i18next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno. Prior to version 3.9.3, i18next-http-middleware passes the user-controlled lng and ns values from getResourcesHandler directly into i18next.services.backendConnector.load(languages, namespaces, …) without any sanitization. Depending on which backend is configured, the unvalidated path segments enable either path traversal or SSRF. This issue has been patched in version 3.9.3.

May 8, 202618next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno.CVE-2026-41690 · Other software · i18next · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
18next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno. Versions prior to 3.9.3 allow an unauthenticated HTTP client to pollute Object.prototype in the Node.js process hosting the middleware, via two unvalidated entry points that reach internal object-key writes: getResourcesHandler and missingKeyHandler. This can break authorisation checks (if (user.isAdmin) returning true for any user), cause type-confusion DoS, and depending on downstream code it can be chained into RCE.

May 8, 2026i18next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno.CVE-2026-41683 · Other software · i18next · reported by GitHubHigh 8.6
i18next-http-middleware is a middleware to be used with Node.js web frameworks like express or Fastify and also for Deno. Prior to version 3.9.3, i18next-http-middleware wrote user-controlled language values into the Content-Language response header after passing them through utils.escape(), which is an HTML-entity encoder that does not strip carriage return, line feed, or other control characters. When the application used an older i18next (< 19.5.0) that still exercised the backward-compatibility fallback at LanguageDetector.js:100 or otherwise produced a raw detected value, CRLF sequences in the attacker-controlled lng parameter reached res.setHeader('Content-Language', ...) verbatim. This issue has been patched in version 3.9.3.

May 8, 2026math-codegen generates code from mathematical expressions.CVE-2026-41507 · Other software · mauriciopoppe · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8
math-codegen generates code from mathematical expressions. Prior to version 0.4.3, string literal content passed to cg.parse() is injected verbatim into a new Function() body without sanitization. This allows an attacker to execute arbitrary system commands when user-controlled input reaches the parser. Any application exposing a math evaluation endpoint where user input flows into cg.parse() is vulnerable to full RCE. This issue has been patched in version 0.4.3.

May 7, 2026WP-Optimize – Cache, Compress images, Minify & Clean database to boost page speed & performance: Arbitrary file deletionCVE-2026-7252 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The WP-Optimize – Cache, Compress images, Minify & Clean database to boost page speed & performance plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file deletion due to insufficient file path validation in the unscheduled_original_file_deletion function in all versions up to, and including, 4.5.2 This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to delete arbitrary files on the server, which can easily lead to remote code execution when the right file is deleted (such as wp-config.php). This is possible because 'original-file' is a public (non-protected) meta key — it does not begin with an underscore — allowing Authors to freely create or modify it on their own attachment posts via the standard Edit Media form or the REST API.

May 6, 2026In versions 3.0.0a1 through 3.2.0 of Mistune, there is a ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) vulnerability in `LINK_TITLE_RE` that allows an attacker wCVE-2026-33079 · Other software · lepture · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
In versions 3.0.0a1 through 3.2.0 of Mistune, there is a ReDoS (Regular Expression Denial of Service) vulnerability in `LINK_TITLE_RE` that allows an attacker who can supply Markdown for parsing to cause denial of service. The regular expression used for parsing link titles contains overlapping alternatives that can trigger catastrophic backtracking. In both the double-quoted and single-quoted branches, a backslash followed by punctuation can be matched either as an escaped punctuation sequence or as two ordinary characters, creating an ambiguous pattern inside a repeated group. If an attacker supplies Markdown containing repeated ! sequences with no closing quote, the regex engine explores an exponential number of backtracking paths. This is reachable through normal Markdown parsing of inline links and block link reference definitions. A small crafted input can therefore cause significant CPU consumption and make applications using Mistune unresponsive.

May 4, 2026Schedule Post Changes With PublishPress Future: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-5247 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.5
The Schedule Post Changes With PublishPress Future plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'wrapper' attribute of the [futureaction] shortcode in all versions up to, and including, 4.10.0. This is due to insufficient input sanitization on the wrapper attribute. The plugin uses esc_html() to escape the value, but esc_html() only encodes HTML entities and does not prevent attribute injection when the value is used as an HTML tag name in a sprintf() call. An attacker can inject event handler attributes via spaces in the wrapper value. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. Since it is also possible for administrators to make this functionality available to lower-privileged users, this introduces the possibility of abuse by contributors.

May 2, 2026FundPress – WordPress Donation: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-4650 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The FundPress – WordPress Donation Plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in versions up to and including 2.0.8. This is due to missing authorization and nonce verification in the donate_action_status() AJAX handler, which is registered to be accessible to unauthenticated users via wp_ajax_nopriv. The function only validates that the schema parameter equals 'donate-ajax' and that the required POST parameters are present, but fails to verify user capabilities, nonce tokens, or donation ownership. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the status of any donation by providing its ID (which are sequential integers and easily enumerable), allowing them to mark donations as completed, pending, cancelled, or any arbitrary status, potentially triggering email notifications and related side effects.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix use-after-free of sbi in f2fs_compress_write_end_io() In f2fs_compress_write_end_io(), dec_page_count(sbi, type) can bring the F2FS_WB_CP_DATA counter to zero, unblocking f2fs_wait_on_all_pages() in f2fs_put_super() on a concurrent unmount CPU. The unmount path then proceeds to call f2fs_destroy_page_array_cache(sbi), which destroys sbi->page_array_slab via kmem_cache_destroy(), and eventually kfree(sbi). Meanwhile, the bio completion callback is still executing: when it reaches page_array_free(sbi, ...), it dereferences sbi->page_array_slab — a destroyed slab cache — to call kmem_cache_free(), causing a use-after-free. This is the same class of bug as CVE-2026-23234 (which fixed the equivalent race in f2fs_write_end_io() in data.c), but in the compressed writeback completion path that was not covered by that fix. Fix this by moving dec_page_count() to after page_array_free(), so that all sbi accesses complete before the counter decrement that can unblock unmount. For non-last folios (where atomic_dec_return on cic->pending_pages is nonzero), dec_page_count is called immediately before returning — pag

Prior to 3.3.8, there is a remotely reachable memory corruption issue in the NBNS packet handling path. When NetBIOS is enabled by calling NBNS.begin(...), the device listens on UDP port 137 and processes untrusted NBNS requests from the local network. The request parser trusts the attacker-controlled name_len field without enforcing a bound consistent with the fixed-size destination buffers used later in the flow. Apr 23, 2026ExactMetrics – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress (Website Stats Plugin): Unauthorized arbitrary plugin installation and activationCVE-2026-5464 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.2
The ExactMetrics – Google Analytics Dashboard for WordPress (Website Stats Plugin) plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary plugin installation and activation in all versions up to, and including, 9.1.2. This is due to the reports page exposing the 'onboarding_key' transient to any user with the 'exactmetrics_view_dashboard' capability. This key is the sole authorization gate for the '/wp-json/exactmetrics/v1/onboarding/connect-url' REST endpoint, which returns a one-time hash (OTH) token. This OTH token is then the only credential checked by the 'exactmetrics_connect_process' AJAX endpoint — which has no capability check, no nonce verification, and accepts an arbitrary plugin ZIP URL via the file parameter for installation and activation. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Editor-level access and above granted the report viewing permission, to install and activate arbitrary plugins from attacker-controlled URLs, leading to Remote Code Execution.

Apr 22, 2026A logic error in the expr utility of uutils coreutils causes the program to evaluate parenthesized subexpressions during the parsing phase rather than at the exCVE-2026-35378 · Other software · Uutils · reported by security@ubuntu.comLow 3.3
A logic error in the expr utility of uutils coreutils causes the program to evaluate parenthesized subexpressions during the parsing phase rather than at the execution phase. This implementation flaw prevents the utility from performing proper short-circuiting for logical OR (|) and AND (&) operations. As a result, arithmetic errors (such as division by zero) occurring within "dead" branches, branches that should be ignored due to short-circuiting, are raised as fatal errors. This divergence from GNU expr behavior can cause guarded expressions within shell scripts to fail with hard errors instead of returning expected boolean results, leading to premature script termination and breaking GNU-compatible shell control flow.

The dd utility in uutils coreutils suppresses errors during file truncation operations by unconditionally calling Result::ok() on truncation attempts. While intended to mimic GNU behavior for special files like /dev/null, the uutils implementation also hides failures on regular files and directories caused by full disks or read-only file systems. This can lead to silent data corruption in backup or migration scripts, as the utility may report a successful operation even when the destination file contains old or garbage data.

Apr 21, 2026An incorrect regular expression vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to bypass OAuth redirect URI validation.CVE-2026-4296 · Other software · GitHub · reported by product-cna@github.comHigh 7.5
An incorrect regular expression vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an attacker to bypass OAuth redirect URI validation. An attacker with knowledge of a first-party OAuth application's registered callback URL could craft a malicious authorization link that, when clicked by a victim, would redirect the OAuth authorization code to an attacker-controlled domain. This could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to the victim's account with the scopes granted to the OAuth application. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.21 and was fixed in versions 3.20.1, 3.19.5, 3.18.8, 3.17.14, 3.16.17, 3.15.21, 3.14.26. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

Apr 21, 2026Compressing is a compressing and uncompressing lib for node.CVE-2026-40931 · Other software · node-modules · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4
Compressing is a compressing and uncompressing lib for node. Prior to 2.1.1 and 1.10.5, the patch for CVE-2026-24884 relies on a purely logical string validation within the isPathWithinParent utility. This check verifies if a resolved path string starts with the destination directory string but fails to account for the actual filesystem state. By exploiting this "Logical vs. Physical" divergence, an attacker can bypass the security check using a Directory Poisoning technique (pre-existing symbolic links). This vulnerability is fixed in 2.1.1 and 1.10.5.

Apr 20, 2026wpDataTables – WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-5721 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.7
The wpDataTables – WordPress Data Table, Dynamic Tables & Table Charts Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in all versions up to, and including, 6.5.0.4. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping in the prepareCellOutput() method of the LinkWDTColumn, ImageWDTColumn, and EmailWDTColumn classes. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page, given that they can trick an Administrator into importing data from an attacker-controlled source and the affected column types (Link, Image, or Email) are configured.

Apr 17, 2026SecureDrop Client is a desktop app for journalists to securely communicate with sources and handle submissions on the SecureDrop Workstation.CVE-2026-35465 · Other software · freedomofpress · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
SecureDrop Client is a desktop app for journalists to securely communicate with sources and handle submissions on the SecureDrop Workstation. In versions 0.17.4 and below, a compromised SecureDrop Server can achieve code execution on the Client's virtual machine (sd-app) by exploiting improper filename validation in gzip archive extraction, which permits absolute paths and enables overwriting critical files like the SQLite database. Exploitation requires prior compromise of the dedicated SecureDrop Server, which itself is hardened and only accessible via Tor hidden services. Despite the high attack complexity, the vulnerability is rated High severity due to its significant impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability of decrypted source submissions. This issue is similar to CVE-2025-24888 but occurs through a different code path, and a more robust fix has been implemented in the replacement SecureDrop Inbox codebase. The issue has been fixed in version 0.17.5.

Apr 16, 2026MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin for Online Courses and Education: Time-based Blind SQL InjectionCVE-2026-4817 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5
The MasterStudy LMS WordPress Plugin for Online Courses and Education plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Time-based Blind SQL Injection via the 'order' and 'orderby' parameters in the /lms/stm-lms/order/items REST API endpoint in versions up to and including 3.7.25. This is due to insufficient input sanitization combined with a design flaw in the custom Query builder class that allows unquoted SQL injection in ORDER BY clauses. When the Query builder detects parentheses in the sort_by parameter, it treats the value as a SQL function and directly concatenates it into the ORDER BY clause without any quoting. While esc_sql() is applied to escape quotes and backslashes, this cannot prevent ORDER BY injection when the values themselves are not wrapped in quotes in the resulting SQL statement. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to append arbitrary SQL queries via the ORDER BY clause to extract sensitive information from the database including user credentials, session tokens, and other confidential data through time-based blind SQL injection techniques.

Apr 16, 2026My Calendar is a WordPress plugin for managing calendar events.CVE-2026-40308 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
My Calendar is a WordPress plugin for managing calendar events. In versions 3.7.6 and below, the mc_ajax_mcjs_action AJAX endpoint, registered for unauthenticated users, passes user-supplied arguments through parse_str() without validation, allowing injection of arbitrary parameters including a site value. On WordPress Multisite installations, this enables an unauthenticated attacker to call switch_to_blog() with an arbitrary site ID and extract calendar events from any sub-site on the network, including private or hidden events. On standard Single Site installations, switch_to_blog() does not exist, causing an uncaught PHP fatal error and crashing the worker thread, creating an unauthenticated denial of service vector. This issue has been fixed in version 3.7.7.

Apr 16, 2026zlib is a Ruby interface for the zlib compression/decompression library.CVE-2026-27820 · Other software · ruby · reported by GitHubLow 1.7
zlib is a Ruby interface for the zlib compression/decompression library. Versions 3.0.0 and below, 3.1.0, 3.1.1, 3.2.0 and 3.2.1 contain a buffer overflow vulnerability in the Zlib::GzipReader. The zstream_buffer_ungets function prepends caller-provided bytes ahead of previously produced output but fails to guarantee the backing Ruby string has enough capacity before the memmove shifts the existing data. This can lead to memory corruption when the buffer length exceeds capacity. This issue has been fixed in versions 3.0.1, 3.1.2 and 3.2.3.

@fastify/express v4.0.4 and earlier contains a path handling bug in the onRegister function that causes middleware paths to be doubled when inherited by child plugins. When a child plugin is registered with a prefix that matches a middleware path, the middleware path is prefixed a second time, causing it to never match incoming requests. This results in complete bypass of Express middleware security controls, including authentication, authorization, and rate limiting, for all routes defined within affected child plugin scopes.
