Mar 18, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2.CVE-2024-26635 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: llc: Drop support for ETH_P_TR_802_2. syzbot reported an uninit-value bug below. [0] llc supports ETH_P_802_2 (0x0004) and used to support ETH_P_TR_802_2 (0x0011), and syzbot abused the latter to trigger the bug. write$tun(r0, &(0x7f0000000040)={@val={0x0, 0x11}, @val, @mpls={[], @llc={@snap={0xaa, 0x1, ')', "90e5dd"}}}}, 0x16) llc_conn_handler() initialises local variables {saddr, daddr}.mac based on skb in llc_pdu_decode_sa()/llc_pdu_decode_da() and passes them to __llc_lookup(). However, the initialisation is done only when skb->protocol is htons(ETH_P_802_2), otherwise, __llc_lookup_established() and __llc_lookup_listener() will read garbage. The missing initialisation existed prior to commit 211ed865108e ("net: delete all instances of special processing for token ring"). It removed the part to kick out the token ring stuff but forgot to close the door allowing ETH_P_TR_802_2 packets to sneak into llc_rcv(). Let's remove llc_tr_packet_type and complete the deprecation. [0]: BUG: KMSAN: uninit-value in __llc_lookup_established+0xe9d/0xf90 __llc_lookup_established+0xe9d/0xf90 __llc_lookup net/llc/llc

Mar 15, 2024Symfony1 is a community fork of symfony 1.4 with DIC, form enhancements, latest Swiftmailer, better performance, composer compatible and PHP 8 support.CVE-2024-28859 · Other software · FriendsOfSymfony1 · reported by GitHubMedium 5
Symfony1 is a community fork of symfony 1.4 with DIC, form enhancements, latest Swiftmailer, better performance, composer compatible and PHP 8 support. Symfony 1 has a gadget chain due to vulnerable Swift Mailer dependency that would enable an attacker to get remote code execution if a developer unserialize user input in his project. This vulnerability present no direct threat but is a vector that will enable remote code execution if a developper deserialize user untrusted data. Symfony 1 depends on Swift Mailer which is bundled by default in vendor directory in the default installation since 1.3.0. Swift Mailer classes implement some `__destruct()` methods. These methods are called when php destroys the object in memory. However, it is possible to include any object type in `$this->_keys` to make PHP access to another array/object properties than intended by the developer. In particular, it is possible to abuse the array access which is triggered on foreach($this->_keys ...) for any class implementing ArrayAccess interface. This may allow an attacker to execute any PHP command which leads to remote code execution. This issue has been addressed in version 1.5.18. Users are advised

Mar 15, 2024tls-listener is a rust lang wrapper around a connection listener to support TLS.CVE-2024-28854 · Other software · tmccombs · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
tls-listener is a rust lang wrapper around a connection listener to support TLS. With the default configuration of tls-listener, a malicious user can open 6.4 `TcpStream`s a second, sending 0 bytes, and can trigger a DoS. The default configuration options make any public service using `TlsListener::new()` vulnerable to a slow-loris DoS attack. This impacts any publicly accessible service using the default configuration of tls-listener in versions prior to 0.10.0. Users are advised to upgrade. Users unable to upgrade may mitigate this by passing a large value, such as `usize::MAX` as the parameter to `Builder::max_handshakes`.

Mar 14, 2024Support App is an opensource application specialized in managing Apple devices.CVE-2024-27301 · Other software · root3nl · reported by GitHubHigh 7.3
Support App is an opensource application specialized in managing Apple devices. It's possible to abuse a vulnerability inside the postinstall installer script to make the installer execute arbitrary code as root. The cause of the vulnerability is the fact that the shebang `#!/bin/zsh` is being used. When the installer is executed it asks for the users password to be executed as root. However, it'll still be using the $HOME of the user and therefore loading the file `$HOME/.zshenv` when the `postinstall` script is executed. An attacker could add malicious code to `$HOME/.zshenv` and it will be executed when the app is installed. An attacker may leverage this vulnerability to escalate privilege on the system. This issue has been addressed in version 2.5.1 Rev 2. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: async_xor: increase src_offs when dropping destination page Now we support sharing one page if PAGE_SIZE is not equal stripe size. To support this, it needs to support calculating xor value with different offsets for each r5dev. One offset array is used to record those offsets. In RMW mode, parity page is used as a source page. It sets ASYNC_TX_XOR_DROP_DST before calculating xor value in ops_run_prexor5. So it needs to add src_list and src_offs at the same time. Now it only needs src_list. So the xor value which is calculated is wrong. It can cause data corruption problem. I can reproduce this problem 100% on a POWER8 machine. The steps are: mdadm -CR /dev/md0 -l5 -n3 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1 --size=3G mkfs.xfs /dev/md0 mount /dev/md0 /mnt/test mount: /mnt/test: mount(2) system call failed: Structure needs cleaning.

Feb 28, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-zynqmp-gqspi: return -ENOMEM if dma_map_single fails The spi controller supports CVE-2021-47047 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: spi-zynqmp-gqspi: return -ENOMEM if dma_map_single fails The spi controller supports 44-bit address space on AXI in DMA mode, so set dma_addr_t width to 44-bit to avoid using a swiotlb mapping. In addition, if dma_map_single fails, it should return immediately instead of continuing doing the DMA operation which bases on invalid address. This fixes the following crash which occurs in reading a big block from flash: [ 123.633577] zynqmp-qspi ff0f0000.spi: swiotlb buffer is full (sz: 4194304 bytes), total 32768 (slots), used 0 (slots) [ 123.644230] zynqmp-qspi ff0f0000.spi: ERR:rxdma:memory not mapped [ 123.784625] Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 00000000003fffc0 [ 123.792536] Mem abort info: [ 123.795313] ESR = 0x96000145 [ 123.798351] EC = 0x25: DABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits [ 123.803655] SET = 0, FnV = 0 [ 123.806693] EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 [ 123.809818] Data abort info: [ 123.812683] ISV = 0, ISS = 0x00000145 [ 123.816503] CM = 1, WnR = 1 [ 123.819455] user pgtable: 4k pages, 48-bit VAs, pgdp=0000000805047000 [ 123.825887] [00000000003fffc0] pgd=0000000803b4

Feb 27, 2024** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Aurora.CVE-2024-27905 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.1
** UNSUPPORTED WHEN ASSIGNED ** Exposure of Sensitive Information to an Unauthorized Actor vulnerability in Apache Aurora. An endpoint exposing internals to unauthenticated users can be used as a "padding oracle" allowing an anonymous attacker to construct a valid authentication cookie. Potentially this could be combined with vulnerabilities in other components to achieve remote code execution. As this project is retired, we do not plan to release a version that fixes this issue. Users are recommended to find an alternative or restrict access to the instance to trusted users. NOTE: This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: efivarfs: force RO when remounting if SetVariable is not supported If SetVariable at runtime is not supported by the firmware we never assign a callback for that function. At the same time mount the efivarfs as RO so no one can call that. However, we never check the permission flags when someone remounts the filesystem as RW. As a result this leads to a crash looking like this: $ mount -o remount,rw /sys/firmware/efi/efivars $ efi-updatevar -f PK.auth PK [ 303.279166] Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 0000000000000000 [ 303.280482] Mem abort info: [ 303.280854] ESR = 0x0000000086000004 [ 303.281338] EC = 0x21: IABT (current EL), IL = 32 bits [ 303.282016] SET = 0, FnV = 0 [ 303.282414] EA = 0, S1PTW = 0 [ 303.282821] FSC = 0x04: level 0 translation fault [ 303.283771] user pgtable: 4k pages, 48-bit VAs, pgdp=000000004258c000 [ 303.284913] [0000000000000000] pgd=0000000000000000, p4d=0000000000000000 [ 303.286076] Internal error: Oops: 0000000086000004 [#1] PREEMPT SMP [ 303.286936] Modules linked in: qrtr tpm_tis tpm_tis_core crct10dif_ce arm_smccc_trng rn

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories.
