  • Feb 25, 2026Post Duplicator: Unauthorized arbitrary protected post meta insertionCVE-2026-2301 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The Post Duplicator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized arbitrary protected post meta insertion in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.8. This is due to the `duplicate_post()` function in `includes/api.php` using `$wpdb->insert()` directly to the `wp_postmeta` table instead of WordPress's standard `add_post_meta()` function, which would call `is_protected_meta()` to prevent lower-privileged users from setting protected meta keys (those starting with `_`). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary protected post meta keys such as `_wp_page_template`, `_wp_attached_file`, and other sensitive meta keys on duplicated posts via the `customMetaData` JSON array parameter in the `/wp-json/post-duplicator/v1/duplicate-post` REST API endpoint.

  • Feb 21, 2026Metabase is an open-source data analytics platform.CVE-2026-27464 · Other software · metabase · reported by GitHubHigh 7.7

Metabase is an open-source data analytics platform. In versions prior to 0.57.13 and versions 0.58.x through 0.58.6, authenticated users are able to retrieve sensitive information from a Metabase instance, including database access credentials. During testing, it was confirmed that a low-privileged user can extract sensitive information including database credentials, into the email body via template evaluation. This issue has been fixed in versions 0.57.13 and 0.58.7. To workaround this issue, users can disable notifications in their Metabase instance to disallow access to the vulnerable endpoints.

  • Feb 20, 2026SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles.CVE-2026-27168 · Other software · HappySeaFox · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

SAIL is a cross-platform library for loading and saving images with support for animation, metadata, and ICC profiles. All versions are vulnerable to Heap-based Buffer Overflow through the XWD parser's use of the bytes_per_line value. The value os read directly from the file as the read size in io->strict_read(), and is never compared to the actual size of the destination buffer. An attacker can provide an XWD file with an arbitrarily large bytes_per_line, causing a massive write operation beyond the buffer heap allocated for the image pixels. The issue did not have a fix at the time of publication.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: do not strictly require dirty metadata threshold for metadata writepages [BUG] There is an internal report that over 1000 processes are waiting at the io_schedule_timeout() of balance_dirty_pages(), causing a system hang and trigger a kernel coredump. The kernel is v6.4 kernel based, but the root problem still applies to any upstream kernel before v6.18. [CAUSE] From Jan Kara for his wisdom on the dirty page balance behavior first. This cgroup dirty limit was what was actually playing the role here because the cgroup had only a small amount of memory and so the dirty limit for it was something like 16MB. Dirty throttling is responsible for enforcing that nobody can dirty (significantly) more dirty memory than there's dirty limit. Thus when a task is dirtying pages it periodically enters into balance_dirty_pages() and we let it sleep there to slow down the dirtying. When the system is over dirty limit already (either globally or within a cgroup of the running task), we will not let the task exit from balance_dirty_pages() until the number of dirty pages drops below the limit. • Feb 14, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, test_run: Subtract size of xdp_frame from allowed metadata size The xdp_frame structuCVE-2026-23140 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf, test_run: Subtract size of xdp_frame from allowed metadata size The xdp_frame structure takes up part of the XDP frame headroom, limiting the size of the metadata. However, in bpf_test_run, we don't take this into account, which makes it possible for userspace to supply a metadata size that is too large (taking up the entire headroom). If userspace supplies such a large metadata size in live packet mode, the xdp_update_frame_from_buff() call in xdp_test_run_init_page() call will fail, after which packet transmission proceeds with an uninitialised frame structure, leading to the usual Bad Stuff. The commit in the Fixes tag fixed a related bug where the second check in xdp_update_frame_from_buff() could fail, but did not add any additional constraints on the metadata size. Complete the fix by adding an additional check on the metadata size. Reorder the checks slightly to make the logic clearer and add a comment.

manga-image-translator version beta-0.3 and prior in shared API mode contains an unsafe deserialization vulnerability that can lead to unauthenticated remote code execution. The FastAPI endpoints /simple_execute/{method} and /execute/{method} deserialize attacker-controlled request bodies using pickle.loads() without validation. • Feb 11, 2026OpenMetadata is a unified metadata platform.CVE-2026-26010 · Other software · open-metadata · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

OpenMetadata is a unified metadata platform. Prior to 1.11.8, calls issued by the UI against /api/v1/ingestionPipelines leak JWTs used by ingestion-bot for certain services (Glue / Redshift / Postgres). Any read-only user can gain access to a highly privileged account, typically which has the Ingestion Bot Role. This enables destructive changes in OpenMetadata instances, and potential data leakage (e.g. sample data, or service metadata which would be unavailable per roles/policies). This vulnerability is fixed in 1.11.8.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: etas_es58x: allow partial RX URB allocation to succeed When es58x_alloc_rx_urbs() fails to allocate the requested number of URBs but succeeds in allocating some, it returns an error code. This causes es58x_open() to return early, skipping the cleanup label 'free_urbs', which leads to the anchored URBs being leaked. As pointed out by maintainer Vincent Mailhol, the driver is designed to handle partial URB allocation gracefully. Therefore, partial allocation should not be treated as a fatal error. Modify es58x_alloc_rx_urbs() to return 0 if at least one URB has been allocated, restoring the intended behavior and preventing the leak in es58x_open().

  • Jan 23, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: detach and close netdevs while handling a reset Protect the reset path from callbackCVE-2026-22981 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: idpf: detach and close netdevs while handling a reset Protect the reset path from callbacks by setting the netdevs to detached state and close any netdevs in UP state until the reset handling has completed. During a reset, the driver will de-allocate resources for the vport, and there is no guarantee that those will recover, which is why the existing vport_ctrl_lock does not provide sufficient protection. idpf_detach_and_close() is called right before reset handling. If the reset handling succeeds, the netdevs state is recovered via call to idpf_attach_and_open(). If the reset handling fails the netdevs remain down. The detach/down calls are protected with RTNL lock to avoid racing with callbacks. On the recovery side the attach can be done without holding the RTNL lock as there are no callbacks expected at that point, due to detach/close always being done first in that flow. The previous logic restoring the netdevs state based on the IDPF_VPORT_UP_REQUESTED flag in the init task is not needed anymore, hence the removal of idpf_set_vport_state(). The IDPF_VPORT_UP_REQUESTED is still being used to restore the st
