Oct 13, 2026dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas.CVE-2026-108385 · Other software · marcosschroh · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.38.0 through 0.70.5, BaseGenerator.parse_enum and EnumRepresentation.render_symbols use each schema-controlled enum symbol as a generated enum member name after case conversion but without validating it as an identifier. When generator classes are used directly, newlines and punctuation can inject constrained statements into the generated enum class body, allowing namespace modification or preventing the module from loading. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by validating every enum symbol as a name.

Oct 13, 2026dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas.CVE-2026-108384 · Other software · marcosschroh · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.38.0 through 0.70.5, BaseGenerator.parse_fixed interpolates a fixed type's aliases value directly into a generated types.confixed annotation. A list is represented with quoted entries, but a bare string is emitted as an unquoted Python expression and evaluated when the generated module is imported, allowing arbitrary code execution from a crafted schema. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by rejecting aliases values that are not lists.

Oct 13, 2026dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas.CVE-2026-108383 · Other software · marcosschroh · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.38.0 through 0.70.5, FieldRepresentation.get_field_default renders a schema-controlled enum field default as an enum member reference after applying case conversion but without validating it as an identifier. Newlines, operators, and punctuation can escape the intended reference and inject constrained statements into the generated module, allowing namespace modification or preventing the module from loading. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by validating enum defaults as names.

dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.38.0 through 0.70.5, EnumRepresentation.render_symbols concatenates each schema-controlled enum symbol between double quotes in a generated enum assignment. When generator classes are used directly, a quote can terminate the string literal and inject arbitrary Python code into the enum class body, which executes when the generated module is imported. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by escaping enum symbol values before rendering them.

Oct 13, 2026dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas.CVE-2026-108381 · Other software · marcosschroh · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8
dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.44.0 through 0.70.5, the Pydantic and AvroDantic model generators insert a schema field's pydantic-class value after pydantic. in a generated field annotation without safely restricting the expression. Because annotations are evaluated when the generated module is imported, a crafted value can execute arbitrary Python code. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by restricting the value to a bare name or a call to a bare name with literal arguments.

dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.65.9 through 0.70.5, PydanticFieldRepresentation.add_field_properties inserts a schema field's doc value between the quotes of a generated pydantic.Field description argument without escaping it. A crafted quote can terminate the string and inject an expression evaluated during generated class definition, allowing arbitrary Python code execution for Pydantic and AvroDantic model generation. Version 0.70.6 fixes the vulnerability by escaping the documentation value before rendering it.

dataclasses-avroschema generates Avro schemas from Python dataclasses, Pydantic models, and Faust Records and generates Python code from Avro schemas. From version 0.40.0 through 0.70.5, ClassRepresentation.render_docstring copies a schema record's doc value into a generated triple-double-quoted class docstring without escaping quotes or backslashes. A crafted triple-quote sequence can close the docstring and inject statements into the generated class body, while a trailing backslash can escape the generated closing delimiter, allowing Python code execution during module import. Missing Authorization (CWE-862) in Kibana can lead to information disclosure via Accessing Functionality Not Properly Constrained by ACLs (CAPEC-1). An internal API surface within the Metrics Experience feature did not enforce a Kibana-level authorization check that an equivalent, related API in the same feature did enforce. As a result, a user who held only data-store-level read access to an index, but no corresponding Kibana feature privilege, could retrieve index-derived metric data through Kibana that the properly-authorized API would otherwise have blocked.

Apache Karaf's shell/SSH command security is enforced by per-scope ACL configuration files (etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.<scope>.cfg). SecuredSessionFactoryImpl.checkSecurity() resolves the roles required for an invocation and, when no ACL rule matches the command, fails open: ACLConfigurationParser.Specificity.NO_MATCH sets passCheck = true. The safety valve for this, karaf.secured.command.compulsory.roles, ships commented out in etc/system.properties, so an unmatched command is allowed for any authenticated user. The shipped org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config ACL (assemblies/features/standard/src/main/feature/feature.xml, mirrored into instance/.../etc/org.apache.karaf.command.acl.config.cfg) has no install entry. It restricts delete to admin, restricts edit/property-*/update on the jmx.acl.*, org.apache.karaf.command.acl.* and org.apache.karaf.service.acl.* PIDs to admin, and allows manager for everything else, but config:install was simply unmatched, and therefore allowed for any authenticated user, including one holding only the viewer role. config:install <url> <finalname> fetches url and writes it into ${karaf.etc} as finalname. It calls PathUtils.checkWithin() to

Sep 29, 2026The jdbc shell command scope shipped no org.apache.karaf.command.acl.jdbc.cfg.CVE-2026-91048 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 9.8
The jdbc shell command scope shipped no org.apache.karaf.command.acl.jdbc.cfg. Karaf's command guard (SecuredSessionFactoryImpl) treats a command with no matching ACL rule as allowed, so any authenticated shell session (including one holding only the viewer role) could run every jdbc:* command. jdbc:ds-create stores a fully attacker-controlled JDBC URL into a pax-jdbc-config factory Configuration with no validation. pax-jdbc-config reactively turns that into a live DataSource. Several JDBC drivers run code or SQL at connection time based on URL parameters (e.g. H2 INIT=RUNSCRIPT), so a viewer-level shell user could reach arbitrary code execution, bypassing the admin-role gate that already protects shell:exec. This is a privilege-escalation-to-RCE chain, not merely an "admin misconfiguration". The same applies to jms:* shell commands.

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btqcomsmd: destroy RPMsg endpoints before freeing hci_dev The command and ACL RCVE-2026-97908 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: btqcomsmd: destroy RPMsg endpoints before freeing hci_dev The command and ACL RPMsg endpoints store struct btqcomsmd as their callback private data. The receive callbacks dereference btq->hdev without taking an hci_dev reference. The current teardown order frees the hci_dev before destroying the RPMsg endpoints in both the hci_register_dev() error path and the driver remove path. If WCNSS delivers data in that window, the endpoint callback can run with an already freed hci_dev and pass it to the Bluetooth core. For qcom_smd endpoints, rpmsg_destroy_ept() closes the channel and clears the callback under the channel recv_lock. The receive path holds the same lock while invoking the callback, so destroying the endpoints first both prevents new callbacks and serializes with any callback already running. Destroy the command and ACL endpoints before hci_free_dev(). Keep hci_unregister_dev() first during remove so the HCI core stops issuing operations before the transport endpoints are shut down. In the full registration-error cleanup path, return directly after freeing the hci_dev to avoid falling through

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fail DACL rewrite when the new DACL exceeds 64K replace_sids_and_copy_aces() CVE-2026-97559 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fail DACL rewrite when the new DACL exceeds 64K replace_sids_and_copy_aces() and set_chmod_dacl() accumulate the size of the DACL they build in a u16. That accumulator can wrap. validate_dacl() caps num_aces at (dacl_size - sizeof(struct smb_acl)) / 20, i.e. 3276 for a maximally sized DACL, while each rewritten ACE can grow to sizeof(struct smb_ace) (76 bytes) once its SID is replaced with one carrying SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES sub-authorities. The worst case is therefore sizeof(struct smb_acl) + 3276 * 76 = 248984 bytes, far beyond what a u16 can hold. A wraparound is reached with 863 ACEs. After the wraparound, ndacl_ptr->size becomes meaningless and the offset will point anywhere in the ACE array. As a result, we will see corruption of the DACL, which then gets sent to the server. This is not an out-of-bounds write as the allocation now covers the worst-case expansion, so writes will always go into the buffer. Adjust the code to use a u32 internally and return -EOVERFLOW in the overflow case. The operation must be refused, because a DACL can only hold 2^16-1 bytes on the wire and larger DACLs can

Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in DACL owner/group rewrite When id_mode_to_cifs_acl rewritCVE-2026-97555 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix heap overflow in DACL owner/group rewrite When id_mode_to_cifs_acl rewrites an existing DACL, it allocates a buffer sized according to the on-disk DACL length reported by dacl_ptr->size. However, replace_sids_and_copy_aces may rewrite each ACE with a new owner/group SID obtained from the cifs.idmap upcall. Those SIDs can have up to SID_MAX_SUB_AUTHORITIES (15) sub-authorities, making each ACE up to 76 bytes (sizeof(struct smb_ace)). If the original DACL contains short SIDs (e.g., 1 sub-authority) while the replacement SIDs are long, the rewritten ACEs overflow the allocation. Fix this by always budgeting for worst-case SID expansion: allocate sizeof(struct smb_acl) plus num_aces * sizeof(struct smb_ace), which covers the smb_acl header and room for every ACE at maximum SID size. This replaces the previous split logic that used dacl_ptr->size for cifsacl mounts but num_aces * sizeof(struct smb_ace) for mode_from_sid mounts: both paths can trigger the same rewrite and need the same headroom. KASAN reports this as: BUG: KASAN: slab-out-of-bounds in build_sec_desc+0x1e8a/0x2680 [cifs] Write of

Sep 25, 2026The cisco_firesight_manager_ACL_rule_export module in misp-modules generates a shell script (.sh) that authenticates to and calls the Cisco fireSIGHT Manager APCVE-2026-97863 · Other software · misp · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 6.3
The cisco_firesight_manager_ACL_rule_export module in misp-modules generates a shell script (.sh) that authenticates to and calls the Cisco fireSIGHT Manager API. The module interpolates configuration values (IP address, login, password, domain ID, policy ID) and MISP attribute values (destination IPs, URLs, event info comments) directly into single-quoted shell string assignments without any escaping or sanitization. Because the values are placed inside single-quoted shell strings, any value containing a single-quote character (e.g., a crafted ip-dst or url attribute value submitted to MISP) breaks out of the quoting context, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary shell commands into the exported script. A security analyst who subsequently executes the generated .sh file unmodified would run the injected commands with their own privileges, potentially exposing fireSIGHT Manager credentials, modifying ACL rules, or compromising the analyst workstation. Additionally, the module contained a secondary defect where the variable 'config' was only assigned inside a conditional block but referenced unconditionally afterward, causing a NameError (denial of service) when the request paylo

Sep 24, 2026DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite.CVE-2026-61788 · Other software · bytebase · reported by GitHubHigh 7.4
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Prior to version 0.22.6, setting `readonly = true` on the `execute_sql` tool does not make the connection read-only. The connectors are written to set PostgreSQL `default_transaction_read_only=on` (and open SQLite in `readOnly` mode), but that code is gated on a config value that is never populated, so it never runs. The only thing left enforcing read-only is a classifier that inspects the first keyword of each statement. Any `SELECT` that writes or has side effects through a function call passes it. With an ordinary role this allows sequence tampering; with a privileged role it allows writing arbitrary files on the server (`lo_export`), reading arbitrary host files (`pg_read_file`), and remote code execution (`dblink` + `COPY ... TO PROGRAM`). The HTTP transport is unauthenticated and binds to `0.0.0.0` by default, so this is reachable by any network caller of `/mcp`. Version 0.22.6 patches the issue.

Sep 24, 2026DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite.CVE-2026-61742 · Other software · bytebase · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3
DBHub is a database MCP server for Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, MariaDB, SQLite. Versions prior to 0.22.5 expose an unauthenticated HTTP MCP endpoint when started with the documented HTTP transport mode, for example `--transport http --port 8080`. The HTTP server attempts to protect browser-origin access by checking whether the `Origin` hostname equals the `Host` hostname, then reflecting the validated `Origin` into `Access-Control-Allow-Origin`. This does not stop DNS rebinding. After an attacker-controlled hostname rebinds to a victim-accessible DBHub HTTP server, both `Origin` and `Host` can contain the attacker-controlled hostname, so DBHub accepts the request and dispatches MCP tool calls. As a result, a malicious website can deterministically invoke DBHub MCP tools from the victim's browser without prompt injection or model involvement. With the default demo configuration this can read and write the demo SQLite database; with a real configured database, the same primitive can read, enumerate, and potentially write database contents depending on DBHub's configured tool permissions and database credentials. Version 0.22.5 fixes the issue.
