  • May 8, 2025Rack::Session is a session management implementation for Rack.CVE-2025-46336 · Other software · rack · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2

    Rack::Session is a session management implementation for Rack. In versions starting from 2.0.0 to before 2.1.1, when using the Rack::Session::Pool middleware, and provided the attacker can acquire a session cookie (already a major issue), the session may be restored if the attacker can trigger a long running request (within that same session) adjacent to the user logging out, in order to retain illicit access even after a user has attempted to logout. This issue has been patched in version 2.1.1.

  • May 6, 2025The identity infrastructure software ZITADEL offers developers the ability to manage user sessions using the Session API.CVE-2025-46815 · Other software · zitadel · reported by GitHubHigh 8

    The identity infrastructure software ZITADEL offers developers the ability to manage user sessions using the Session API. This API enables the use of IdPs for authentication, known as idp intents. Following a successful idp intent, the client receives an id and token on a predefined URI. These id and token can then be used to authenticate the user or their session. However, prior to versions 3.0.0, 2.71.9, and 2.70.10, it was possible to exploit this feature by repeatedly using intents. This allowed an attacker with access to the application’s URI to retrieve the id and token, enabling them to authenticate on behalf of the user. It's important to note that the use of additional factors (MFA) prevents a complete authentication process and, consequently, access to the ZITADEL API. Versions 3.0.0, 2.71.9, and 2.70.10 contain a fix for the issue. No known workarounds other than upgrading are available.

    Mojolicious versions from 0.999922 for Perl uses a hard coded string, or the application's class name, as an HMAC session cookie secret by default. These predictable default secrets can be exploited by an attacker to forge session cookies.  An attacker who knows or guesses the secret could compute valid HMAC signatures for the session cookie, allowing them to tamper with or hijack another user’s session.

  • May 3, 2025Mojolicious versions from 7.28 through 9.45 for Perl will generate weak HMAC session cookie secrets via "mojo generate app" by default.CVE-2024-58135 · Other software · SRI · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eMedium 5.3

    Mojolicious versions from 7.28 through 9.45 for Perl will generate weak HMAC session cookie secrets via "mojo generate app" by default. When creating a default app skeleton with the "mojo generate app" tool, a weak secret is written to the application's configuration file using the insecure rand() function, and used for authenticating and protecting the integrity of the application's sessions. This may allow an attacker to brute force the application's session keys. Release 9.46 fixes the issue by providing high quality randomness, even in absence of CryptX. Users should be aware that the update does not replace previously generated weak secrets. A secret generated with the previous version MUST be replaced to ensure the updated version is using a strong secret.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tee: amdtee: fix race condition in amdtee_open_session There is a potential race condition in amdtee_open_session that may lead to use-after-free. For instance, in amdtee_open_session() after sess->sess_mask is set, and before setting: sess->session_info[i] = session_info; if amdtee_close_session() closes this same session, then 'sess' data structure will be released, causing kernel panic when 'sess' is accessed within amdtee_open_session(). The solution is to set the bit sess->sess_mask as the last step in amdtee_open_session().

    A session management vulnerability exists in Apache Roller before version 6.1.5 where active user sessions are not properly invalidated after password changes. A session management flaw in Nagios Network Analyzer 2024R1.0.3 allows an attacker to reuse session tokens even after a user logs out, leading to unauthorized access and account takeover. This occurs due to insufficient session expiration, where session tokens remain valid beyond logout, allowing an attacker to impersonate users and perform actions on their behalf.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: clean up ROC on failure If the firmware fails to start the session protection, then we do call iwl_mvm_roc_finished() here, but that won't do anything at all because IWL_MVM_STATUS_ROC_P2P_RUNNING was never set. Set IWL_MVM_STATUS_ROC_P2P_RUNNING in the failure/stop path. If it started successfully before, it's already set, so that doesn't matter, and if it didn't start it needs to be set to clean up. Not doing so will lead to a WARN_ON() later on a fresh remain- on-channel, since the link is already active when activated as it was never deactivated.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
