May 14, 2026Rapid7 Metasploit Pro is vulnerable to a local privilege escalation attack that allows a user to gain SYSTEM level control of a Windows host.CVE-2026-7373 · Other software · Rapid7 · reported by cve@rapid7.comHigh 8.5
Rapid7 Metasploit Pro is vulnerable to a local privilege escalation attack that allows a user to gain SYSTEM level control of a Windows host. When started the metasploitPostgreSQL service would start the postgres.exe child process which would in turn load an OpenSSL configuration file from a static location. This static location would be writable by a pre-existing "vagrant" user, if they already existed on the system. Metasploit does not create local accounts, an Administrator would need to create it. By planting a crafted openssl.cnf file an attacker can trick the high-privilege service into executing arbitrary commands. This effectively permits the unprivileged vagrant user to bypass security controls and achieve a full host compromise under the agent's SYSTEM level access.

May 14, 2026Kubetail is a real-time logging dashboard for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-44514 · Other software · kubetail-org · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5
Kubetail is a real-time logging dashboard for Kubernetes. Prior to 0.14.0, Kubetail's dashboard exposes WebSocket endpoints that did not adequately validate the Origin header on connection upgrade. A malicious web page visited by a user with an active Kubetail session could open a WebSocket to the user's dashboard and read their Kubernetes logs in real time. This is a Cross-Site WebSocket Hijacking (CSWSH) vulnerability and affects both the desktop deployment (default http://localhost:7500) and cluster deployments (typically behind an Ingress with HTTP basic auth). This vulnerability is fixed in 0.14.0.

YetAnotherForum.NET (YAF.NET) is a C# ASP.NET forum. Prior to 4.0.5 and 3.2.12, the application's database logger (YAFNET.Core/Logger/DbLogger.cs) captures the incoming request's User-Agent header into a JObject, serializes it with JsonConvert, and stores the result in the EventLog.Description column whenever an event (e.g., an unhandled exception) is logged. The admin event-log page (YetAnotherForum.NET/Pages/Admin/EventLog.cshtml.cs) later deserializes that JSON in FormatStackTrace() and interpolates the UserAgent value directly into an HTML string with no encoding, and the Razor view EventLog.cshtml emits the result through @Html.Raw. May 11, 2026oxyno-zeta/s3-proxy is an aws s3 proxy written in go.CVE-2026-42882 · Other software · oxyno-zeta · reported by GitHubCritical 9.4
oxyno-zeta/s3-proxy is an aws s3 proxy written in go. Prior to 5.0.0, s3-proxy contains an authentication bypass caused by inconsistent URL path interpretation between the authentication middleware and the bucket handler. The authentication middleware evaluates resource path patterns against the percent-encoded request URI (r.URL.RequestURI()), while the bucket handler constructs S3 object keys from the decoded path (r.URL.Path). This mismatch, combined with the glob library being invoked without a path separator (causing * to match across / boundaries), allows unauthenticated attackers to write to, read from, or delete objects in protected S3 namespaces. Exploitation is possible via three techniques: (1) using * patterns that match across path separators to reach protected routes via path traversal (e.g., /open/foo/drafts/../restricted/), (2) using percent-encoded slashes (%2F) to collapse multiple path segments into a single token at the auth layer while the decoded form resolves to a protected namespace at the storage layer, and (3) using dot-dot segments (../) under ** prefix patterns, where the raw path matches an open route while Go's URL parser resolves the traversal to a pr

In PHP versions 8.2.* before 8.2.31, 8.3.* before 8.3.31, 8.4.* before 8.4.21, and 8.5.* before 8.5.6, the metaphone() function in ext/standard/metaphone.c uses a signed int variable to track the current position within the input string. If a string longer than 2,147,483,647 bytes is passed, a signed integer overflow occurs, resulting in undefined behavior. This can lead to an out-of-bounds read, causing a segmentation fault or access to unrelated memory, and may affect the availability of the PHP process.

May 9, 2026Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes.CVE-2026-42461 · Other software · getarcaneapp · reported by GitHubHigh 8.7
Arcane is an interface for managing Docker containers, images, networks, and volumes. Prior to version 1.18.0, four GET endpoints under /api/templates* in Arcane's Huma backend are registered without any Security requirement, allowing any unauthenticated network client to list and read the full Compose YAML and .env content of every custom template stored in the instance. Because Arcane's UI exposes a "Save as Template" flow on the project / swarm-stack creation pages that persists the operator's real env content (database passwords, API keys, etc.) verbatim, this missing authorization is an unauthenticated read of operator secrets in practice — not a theoretical info-disclosure. The frontend explicitly treats /customize/templates/* as an authenticated area (PROTECTED_PREFIXES in frontend/src/lib/utils/redirect.util.ts), and every CRUD operation (POST/PUT/DELETE) on the same paths requires a Bearer/API key, so this is a clear backend authorization gap, not intended public access. This issue has been patched in version 1.18.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: arm64: dts: qcom: monaco: Reserve full Gunyah metadata region We observe spurious "Synchronous External Abort" exceptions (ESR=0x96000010) and kernel crashes on Monaco-based platforms. These faults are caused by the kernel inadvertently accessing hypervisor-owned memory that is not properly marked as reserved. >From boot log, The Qualcomm hypervisor reports the memory range at 0x91a80000 of size 0x80000 (512 KiB) as hypervisor-owned: qhee_hyp_assign_remove_memory: 0x91a80000/0x80000 -> ret 0 However, the EFI memory map provided by firmware only reserves the subrange 0x91a40000–0x91a87fff (288 KiB). The remaining portion (0x91a88000–0x91afffff) is incorrectly reported as conventional memory (from efi debug): efi: 0x000091a40000-0x000091a87fff [Reserved...] efi: 0x000091a88000-0x0000938fffff [Conventional...] As a result, the allocator may hand out PFNs inside the hypervisor owned region, causing fatal aborts when the kernel accesses those addresses. Add a reserved-memory carveout for the Gunyah hypervisor metadata at 0x91a80000 (512 KiB) and mark it as no-map so Linux does not map or allocate from this are

May 8, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md raid: fix hang when stopping arrays with metadata through dm-raid When using device-mapCVE-2026-43309 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md raid: fix hang when stopping arrays with metadata through dm-raid When using device-mapper's dm-raid target, stopping a RAID array can cause the system to hang under specific conditions. This occurs when: - A dm-raid managed device tree is suspended from top to bottom (the top-level RAID device is suspended first, followed by its underlying metadata and data devices) - The top-level RAID device is then removed Removing the top-level device triggers a hang in the following sequence: the dm-raid destructor calls md_stop(), which tries to flush the write-intent bitmap by writing to the metadata sub-devices. However, these devices are already suspended, making them unable to complete the write-intent operations and causing an indefinite block. Fix: - Prevent bitmap flushing when md_stop() is called from dm-raid destructor context and avoid a quiescing/unquescing cycle which could also cause I/O - Still allow write-intent bitmap flushing when called from dm-raid suspend context This ensures that RAID array teardown can complete successfully even when the underlying devices are in a suspended state.

Missing MinIO policy cleanup on bucket deletion via Apache CloudStack allows users to retain access to buckets which they previously owned. If another user creates a new bucket with the same name, the previous owners can gain unauthorized read and write access to it by using the previously generated access and secret keys. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: md-cluster: fix NULL pointer dereference in process_metadata_update The function process_metadata_update() blindly dereferences the 'thread' pointer (acquired via rcu_dereference_protected) within the wait_event() macro. While the code comment states "daemon thread must exist", there is a valid race condition window during the MD array startup sequence (md_run): 1. bitmap_load() is called, which invokes md_cluster_ops->join(). 2. join() starts the "cluster_recv" thread (recv_daemon). 3. At this point, recv_daemon is active and processing messages. 4. However, mddev->thread (the main MD thread) is not initialized until later in md_run(). If a METADATA_UPDATED message is received from a remote node during this specific window, process_metadata_update() will be called while mddev->thread is still NULL, leading to a kernel panic. To fix this, we must validate the 'thread' pointer. If it is NULL, we release the held lock (no_new_dev_lockres) and return early, safely ignoring the update request as the array is not yet fully ready to process it.
