Oct 10, 2026Simple Newsletter Plugin – Noptin: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-103482 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.4
The Simple Newsletter Plugin – Noptin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'noptin_fields[<custom_field_merge_tag>] (e.g. first_name)' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The attack chain requires a published campaign post whose body contains a [[subscriber.*]] merge tag; the unauthenticated attacker first POSTs the entity-encoded payload to the public manage_preferences form (which issues its own nonce on the same page), then pivots execution by embedding their confirm_key in a campaign preview URL sent to a privileged user via social engineering.

- What to do
- Affects up to 4.3.10. Update Simple Newsletter Plugin – Noptin to the newest version and check its changelog mentions this fix; if there isn’t one yet, deactivate it until there is.

Oct 10, 2026RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-104735 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4
The RSS Aggregator by Feedzy – Feed to Post, Autoblogging, News & YouTube Video Feeds Aggregator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Feedzy Loop Block Feed URL / RSS <title> in all versions up to, and including, 5.2.10 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload is not neutralized at save time because post_content stores only a benign block reference to an external feed URL; the malicious HTML is injected at render time from the attacker-controlled RSS feed title, bypassing any save-time wp_kses filtering.

Oct 3, 2026Photo Reviews for WooCommerce: Arbitrary Content DeletionCVE-2026-101923 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.1
The Photo Reviews for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary Content Deletion in versions up to, and including, 1.2.30. This is due to the plugin storing attacker-controlled post IDs from the wcpr_image_upload_id parameter of a public review submission into the review's reviews-images comment meta without verifying that the IDs correspond to attachments owned by the submitter, combined with the delete_reviews_image() handler unconditionally calling wp_delete_post( $id, true ) on every stored ID when the review is deleted. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete arbitrary posts, pages, products, or media attachments on the site whenever an administrator subsequently deletes the attacker's review (or when WordPress's built-in wp_scheduled_delete cron empties the comment trash after 30 days).

The Rich Showcase for Google Reviews plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'reviews[].text' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 7.1.3 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The payload is delivered entirely through a Google review posted for the connected business and requires no WordPress account; the plugin's default daily cron auto-imports the malicious review text, and execution triggers for every visitor on DOMContentLoaded without any further user interaction.

Oct 3, 2026Groundhogg — CRM, Newsletters, and Marketing Automation: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-97644 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8
The Groundhogg — CRM, Newsletters, and Marketing Automation plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation via Contact Identity Rebinding in all versions up to, and including, 4.9 The vulnerability exists because the `create_contact` function in the v3 REST endpoint (`POST /gh/v3/contacts`) is gated solely by the `add_contacts` capability and forwards the full request payload — including the security-bearing `user_id` column — into the upsert path of `Contacts_DB::add()`, which bypasses the ownership guard that `Contacts_DB::update()` enforces, allowing an attacker to rebind any existing contact record to an arbitrary WordPress user ID. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Sales Representative-level access and above to upsert their own contact row to point to an Administrator's user ID, then invoke the v4 email-test endpoint (`POST /gh/v4/emails/test`) — also accessible to the Sales Representative role via the `send_emails` capability — to generate an `{auto_login_url}` one-time permissions key bound to the rebound contact, and consume that link to call `wp_set_auth_cookie()` and gain a fully authenticated session as the WordPress Administrator.

The EmbedPress – PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via 'slidesShow' Block Attribute in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.6 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. The slidesShow block attribute is interpolated into an unquoted data-carousel-options HTML attribute, allowing a payload containing spaces to break out of the attribute and inject additional DOM attributes such as onfocus event handlers onto the wrapper element.

The Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Comment Author Name in all versions up to, and including, 5.122.0 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This requires the image attachment feature (ivole_attach_image) to be enabled, which allows unauthenticated attackers to both submit a review with an entity-encoded malicious author name and upload an attached image via the publicly accessible wp_ajax_nopriv_cr_upload_local_images_frontend endpoint.

Sep 30, 2026Newsletter – Send awesome emails from: Insufficiently Protected CredentialsCVE-2026-92537 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 5.3
The Newsletter – Send awesome emails from WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insufficiently Protected Credentials in all versions up to, and including, 9.3.9 The plugin's public click-tracking REST route `/tnp/l/` is registered with `permission_callback => '__return_true'` and, upon receiving a valid keyed-MD5 signature, calls `set_user_cookie()`, which emits a `Set-Cookie: newsletter=<id>-<raw_token>` response header to the requester because the subscriber object loaded via `get_user()` lacks the `_trusted` property, causing `get_user_key()` to return the raw token column value instead of its MD5-masked variant. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers who obtain any signed click-tracking URL for a target subscriber to receive that subscriber's permanent raw authentication cookie, which they can then use to export the subscriber's full PII record via the JSON profile-export endpoint (`?na=px`), rewrite the subscriber's stored profile (`?na=ps`), and silently unsubscribe the subscriber via the RFC-8058 one-click endpoint (`?na=ocu`), none of which require a nonce, password, or email challenge. Sep 25, 2026Customer Reviews for WooCommerce: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-89055 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceCritical 9.1
The Customer Reviews for WooCommerce plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 5.120.0. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to permanently delete arbitrary attachments from the Media Library — including administrator-owned product images, logos, and documents — by injecting their IDs into a review that is later trashed and purged. Exploitation requires a public review-form link (a 13-hex formId distributed to customers via e-mail), which exposes the nonce needed to reach the handler without any WordPress account or session.

Sep 25, 2026OpenStation — Desktop Windows, Dock & Virtual Desktops for WP Admin: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-19775 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The OpenStation — Desktop Windows, Dock & Virtual Desktops for WP Admin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.1.7. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with custom-level access and above, to read the title, status, date, permalink, and a 300-character content excerpt of any private, draft, pending, or future post, as well as the content and AI-moderation verdicts of unapproved and spam comments. Any authenticated user with the 'read' capability can self-enable the required AI feature by visiting the /openstation/ portal and toggling their own ai.enabled setting via the POST /desktop-mode/v1/os-settings endpoint, removing any practical barrier to exploitation.

Metaphor Creations Ditty (ditty-news-ticker) before 3.1.70 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated users with Author-level privileges or higher to inject arbitrary HTML elements by supplying malicious wrapper attribute values in layout tags. The ditty_layout_render_tag_wrapper() function inserts caller-supplied wrapper attribute values directly as HTML element names without allowlist validation, bypassing wp_kses_post() sanitization because KSES runs at save time before layout tag attributes are resolved at render time, causing the payload to execute in the browser of any visitor viewing posts or pages embedding the affected Ditty item.

- 3.1.70
- What to do
- Update the plugin to 3.1.70 or newer.

The Newsletter – Send awesome emails from WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'nn' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 9.3.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. The EmbedPress – PDF Embedder, 3D PDF FlipBook, Google Reviews, YouTube Videos, Upload & Embed PDF documents plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the 'unique' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 4.6.5 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Sep 18, 2026Magazine Blocks – Blog Designer, Magazine & Newspaper Website Builder, Page Builder with Posts Blocks, Post Grid: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-75017 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3
The Magazine Blocks – Blog Designer, Magazine & Newspaper Website Builder, Page Builder with Posts Blocks, Post Grid plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 1.8.6. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to demote administrator-owned published builder templates (header, footer, front page, single, archive, 404, and search) to draft status and replace them with attacker-authored block content rendered site-wide, enabling defacement, phishing, and SEO spam. This is possible because the mzb-builder-template post type is registered with capability_type='post' and exposed via the REST API, and the _mzb_template meta key is accessible to any user with edit_posts capability, meaning Contributor-level users and above can trigger the vulnerable save_post() hook.
