  • Sep 17, 2026punchin-email is a Cloudflare Email Worker that provides two-way role aliases while relaying mail to a private inbox.CVE-2026-54649 · Other software · PunchIn-App · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

punchin-email is a Cloudflare Email Worker that provides two-way role aliases while relaying mail to a private inbox. Prior to 1.5.0, handleInbound delivers inbound alias mail with message.forward(), which silently drops the added Reply-To header intended to route responses through the relay. When a correspondent sends mail to an alias and the operator replies, the mail client can send directly to the correspondent from the private FORWARD_TO inbox address, exposing that address. The disclosure is limited to the operator's own email address and does not expose third-party data or provide code execution or authentication bypass. This issue is fixed in version 1.5.0.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-pcache: validate the persisted dirty_tail chain at load The writeback worker follows the persisted dirty_tail chain, which is decoded from the cache device independently of the key_tail chain that cache_replay() walks and bounds. A crafted image, whose on-media fields are authenticated only by a crc32c with a fixed seed, can aim dirty_tail at a chain of last ksets that never terminates, so cache_writeback_fn() re-arms itself with no delay forever. Walk the dirty_tail chain once at load with the same hop cap cache_replay() uses and fail the table load with -EIO if it does not reach an end within n_segs hops.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: crypto: qat - cancel work on re-enable SR-IOV timeout The QAT reset worker queues SR-IOV reenable work using a work_struct and completion embedded in an on-stack adf_sriov_dev_data. If the completion wait times out, the reset worker can return while device_sriov_wq still holds or executes the stack-backed work item. Cancel the work on the device_sriov_wq on timeout before the stack frame unwinds.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/resctrl: Fix UAF from worker threads when domains are removed The mbm_handle_overflow()CVE-2026-93099 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/resctrl: Fix UAF from worker threads when domains are removed The mbm_handle_overflow() and cqm_handle_limbo() workers read event counters and may sleep while doing so. They are scheduled via delayed_work embedded in struct rdt_l3_mon_domain. Architecture allocates and frees these domains from CPU hotplug callbacks under cpus_write_lock(), and the workers acquire cpus_read_lock() to keep the domain alive across their access. A use-after-free can occur when a worker is blocked waiting for cpus_read_lock() while the hotplug core holds cpus_write_lock(): the architecture frees the rdt_l3_mon_domain that contains the worker's work_struct. When the worker unblocks, the container_of() it performs on the embedded work pointer dereferences freed memory. Drop cpus_read_lock() from the workers and instead drain pending and in-flight work synchronously before the architecture can free the domain. Since architecture offlines the domain under cpus_write_lock() after it has been unlinked from the RCU list and a grace period has elapsed, no new work can be scheduled. The cancel only needs to wait out existing work. Drop

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mt76: mt7996: hold dev->mt76.mutex while disabling tx worker in SER mt7996_mac_reset_work() parked the tx worker and disabled the RX/TX NAPIs before taking dev->mt76.mutex. mt76_worker_disable()/_enable() are plain kthread park/unpark, not refcounted, and __mt76_set_channel() toggles the same worker and the MT76_RESET bit under the mutex. An L1 SER racing a channel switch could therefore have the worker unparked and MT76_RESET cleared while the reset path resets the DMA rings, corrupting descriptors or tokens. Take the mutex before disabling the worker, as mt7915 does.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vdpa_sim: fix cleanup after worker creation failure vdpasim_create() leaves vdpasim->worker as an ERR_PTR when kthread_run_worker() fails. The error path then drops the device reference, which releases the partially initialized simulator. vdpasim_free() unconditionally passes the worker pointer to kthread_destroy_worker(), so the ERR_PTR is dereferenced and can trigger a general protection fault. Store the worker error, clear the pointer, and only clean up the worker when it was successfully initialized. Also make the release path tolerate partially initialized objects by guarding virtqueue and IOTLB cleanup, since the same release path can be reached from other initialization failures. I found this bug myself, though the patch was written with AI assistance.

Description The worker's Netty message decoder is installed ahead of the SASL authentication handlers in the pipeline and acts on frames before any authentication has taken place. It allocated buffers sized from a length field carried in the frame, so a single frame from an unauthenticated peer able to reach a worker slot port could drive a large allocation. `storm.messaging.netty.authentication` defaults to false, and the decoder runs before the handler that enforces it in any case, so no credentials are required. The attacker needs only TCP reachability to a worker port. The effect of a single frame at the default 768 MB worker heap has not been measured to distinguish sustained worker loss from transient garbage-collection pressure. The severity assigned to this advisory reflects the more conservative reading; consumers who require a precise figure should test against their own worker heap configuration. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where frames are decoded only after the handshake completes. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should ensure that worker slot ports are reachable only from within the cluster, as the security model already recommends, and should enable `stor

Description When launching a Docker or OCI worker, the setuid-root `worker-launcher` first changes ownership of the entire worker directory to the untrusted topology user, and only afterwards reads and acts on the command file that the supervisor wrote into that same directory. The file is opened without `O_NOFOLLOW` and without re-verifying its owner, so between the ownership change and the read the tenant can replace its contents. For the Docker path the parsed command is executed with real uid 0, and the command sanitiser is not a privilege boundary: it admits `-v` with an arbitrary source, `--device`, `--cap-add`, `--security-opt`, `--user` and `--net`, and copies positional arguments through verbatim. A rewritten file therefore yields an attacker-authored, root-equivalent container invocation with the host filesystem available. For the OCI path the same rewrite window applies, and mount validation is structural only, with no source or destination allow-list, so arbitrary host paths can be bind-mounted read-write into the container. The `username` field of the command file is likewise attacker-settable and is checked only against non-root and minimum-uid rules, permitting ex

  • Sep 14, 2026Description The setuid-root `worker-launcher` binary adjusts ownership and permissions of worker directories by walking the tree with FTS and calling `lchown` CVE-2026-82429 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.8

Description The setuid-root `worker-launcher` binary adjusts ownership and permissions of worker directories by walking the tree with FTS and calling `lchown` and `chmod` on each entry's full pathname while running with an effective uid of 0. Both syscalls re-resolve the path at the time of the call, after FTS has classified the entry, and the trees being walked are owned and writable by the untrusted topology user. A tenant running code on a supervisor node could therefore replace an intermediate directory component with a symbolic link between classification and the privileged operation, redirecting the root-owned `lchown` or `chmod` at an arbitrary file on the host. The operation is repeatable at will, since crashing a worker forces a relaunch and blob updates re-run the walk, so a failed attempt costs the attacker nothing. This crosses the boundary that `supervisor.run.worker.as.user` and container isolation are intended to enforce. It is the same defect class as the Hadoop container-executor issues from which this code derives. Mitigation Upgrade to 3.1.0, where the privileged walk operates on file descriptors it has already stat'd rather than on pathnames re-resolved at

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix layout fence worker double-reference race The workqueue core clears WORK_STRUCT_PENDING before the callback is invoked, so delayed_work_pending() in lm_breaker_timedout() can return false while the fence worker is already running. This lets the breaker take a duplicate sc_count reference and schedule a new worker that coalesces with the in-progress one. The extra reference is never put, leaking the layout stateid. Replace the racy delayed_work_pending() check with an ls_fence_inflight boolean set atomically with refcount_inc_not_zero() under ls_lock, and cleared under ls_lock before the final nfs4_put_stid() on the dispose path; the retry path intentionally retains it. Remove the self-rearm mod_delayed_work() at the top of the worker.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: twl4030_charger: cancel workers via devm bci is devm-allocated.CVE-2026-89464 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: twl4030_charger: cancel workers via devm bci is devm-allocated. Two workers (bci->work and bci->current_worker) dereference it. twl4030_bci_remove() disables charging and masks interrupts. It cancels neither worker. A worker pending at remove() can run after devm frees bci. The USB transceiver comes from devm_usb_get_phy_by_node(). devm unregisters its notifier only after remove() returns. A cancel_work_sync() in remove() can then race a notifier reschedule. devm_work_autocancel() and devm_delayed_work_autocancel() avoid that. They cancel the workers during devm release, before bci is freed. The current_worker is registered first, since devm will cancel in reverse order and bci->work can reschedule current_worker. • Sep 9, 2026Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its archive extraction worker.CVE-2026-88069 · Other software · pandora-analysis · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Critical 9.3

Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its archive extraction worker. When processing a specially crafted archive or disk image, attacker-controlled file paths could be used without ensuring that the resulting destination remained within the intended extraction directory. An attacker able to submit a malicious file for analysis could use path traversal sequences or crafted paths to cause extracted content to be written outside the designated extraction directory, potentially overwriting files accessible to the Pandora worker process. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized modification of application or system files, denial of service, and potentially further compromise depending on the permissions of the Pandora process and the files that can be overwritten. The vulnerability is addressed by resolving each extraction destination path before writing and verifying that it remains below the expected extraction directory. Extraction attempts resolving outside this directory are rejected and reported as path traversal attempts.

There is no control plane exposure; this is a data plane issue only. Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - propagate F54 worker errors to V4L2 queue Previously, rmi_f54_buffer_queue() waited for the worker thread to finish but ignored whether it succeeded. If the worker failed (e.g., due to a timeout or register read failure), the queue thread would silently return success, delivering stale or uninitialized memory to userspace. Add a 'report_error' field to struct f54_data to store the worker's exit status. Check this field in rmi_f54_buffer_queue() after the worker finishes, and mark the buffer as VB2_BUF_STATE_ERROR if an error occurred.

  • Aug 22, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: fix netdev use-after-free in beacon worker mac802154_beacon_worker() reads locaCVE-2026-74661 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mac802154: fix netdev use-after-free in beacon worker mac802154_beacon_worker() reads local->beacon_req under RCU and derives the sub-interface from the request, but then drops the RCU read lock and continues to use both sdata and the embedded wpan_dev. mac802154_stop_beacons_locked() cancels only pending beacon work, clears local->beacon_req and frees the request. A beacon worker that is already running can therefore continue after interface teardown and dereference the freed netdev private area. The scan worker already pins the netdev before leaving RCU. Apply the same lifetime rule to the beacon worker: take a netdev reference while the request is still protected by RCU, and release it on all paths that continue after the reference is acquired.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vsock/virtio: read virtqueues under worker locks Commit bd50c5dc182b ("vsock/virtio: add support for device suspend/resume") made the *_run flags transition from false to true when restore installs replacement virtqueues. The RX, TX and event workers read their virtqueue before locking and checking the corresponding flag, so a worker delayed across freeze and restore can observe the replacement queue's running state while retaining a pointer to the deleted queue. Read each virtqueue under its mutex after checking the run flag, keeping the pointer and state in the same queue generation.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
