Oct 20, 2026A VideoStreaming interface reports the size of its whole class-specific descriptor block in the `wTotalLength` field of its input header.CVE-2026-96406 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgMedium 4.9
A VideoStreaming interface reports the size of its whole class-specific descriptor block in the `wTotalLength` field of its input header. The USBX host recorded that figure and used it as the budget for walking the format, frame and frame-interval descriptors, without holding it against the configuration descriptor actually received. A device that reports a `wTotalLength` larger than the descriptors it supplies therefore had its own claim believed. Once the real bytes ran out the walk kept going, dereferencing the cursor past the end of the configuration buffer, in the host's context, whenever the application queried format or frame data.

@e2e-dev/github before 0.4.1 contains an improper authorization vulnerability that allows pull request commenters to hijack CI test reports by posting comments with the predictable marker. Because findComment and upsertComment in post.ts never check the comment author, attackers can receive results in their own comment and edit failures to passes, or suppress genuine reports entirely.

Oct 19, 2026In MISP, the event synchronization process contained a logic error in the preparation of event reports for remote push.CVE-2026-112179 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3
In MISP, the event synchronization process contained a logic error in the preparation of event reports for remote push. The filtering of non-exportable tags was applied only once after the iteration over all reports, rather than to each individual report. As a result: - All reports except the last one in the set were pushed to the remote MISP instance with their non-exportable tags intact, effectively disclosing restricted tag information to the receiving instance. - When the last report in the set was withheld (empty), a null report was pushed, causing the remote instance to fail saving the event. This issue affects any MISP instance configured to push events with multiple reports to a remote server via synchronization. Affected: <2.5.48.

Oct 18, 2026Deleting a label compared the ID of the repository in the request against the organization ID of organization labels, and the two ID sequences overlap.CVE-2026-97204 · Other software · Gitea · reported by 88ee5874-cf24-4952-aea0-31affedb7ff2Low 3.1
Deleting a label compared the ID of the repository in the request against the organization ID of organization labels, and the two ID sequences overlap. A user with write access to the issues of a repository could therefore delete the labels of an organization that has the same numeric ID as that repository. Labels are now deleted only within their own repository or organization.

Adding attachments to a release checked the repository and release of an attachment but not whether it was already linked to an issue or comment. A user with write access to the releases of a repository, who knew the UUID of an attachment in that repository, could link it to a release. This exposed the file name, size and download count of the attachment through the release and allowed the user to rename or delete it.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: bpf: cast size to ssize_t when checking hid_bpf_hw_request As reported by Sashiko: IfCVE-2026-98860 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: bpf: cast size to ssize_t when checking hid_bpf_hw_request As reported by Sashiko: If a transport driver encounters a hardware error and returns a negative error code such as -EPIPE, ret is implicitly promoted to size_t when compared against size. This causes the negative error code to evaluate as a large positive number, making the (ret > size) condition true. This silently converts the hardware error into a success return value and copies the unmodified buffer back, which could leave BPF programs operating on uninitialized or stale data. Fix this by casting size into ssize_t to return the actual negative error code.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: fix cdev lifetime Sashiko bot reported a potential problem for the cdev lifetime in CVE-2026-98815 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: fix cdev lifetime Sashiko bot reported a potential problem for the cdev lifetime in [0] - the code there is heavily based on the NVMe code. Currently the NS head .open and .release file_operations methods take and put a reference to the nvme_ns_head to ensure that this structure does not disappear while we open fds for that cdev. In multipath mode, when we teardown the NS head, we call nvme_cdev_del() -> cdev_device_del() -> cdev_del(). However after cdev_del() returns, cdevs already open will remain and their fops will still be callable. As such, we can still reference the cdev after the nvme_ns_head reference count drops to 0 (and is freed). This can be shown with an application which delays between opening the cdev and issuing the ioctl while the NS head is being torn down: # ./ioctl_file /dev/ng1n1 & # waiting 10 seconds .... # ./ini_nvme_teardown.sh [ 21.221718] nvme nvme1: Removing ctrl: NQN "nvme-test-target" [ 21.274609] nvme nvme2: Removing ctrl: NQN "nvme-test-target" # now going to issue ioctl .... In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: EDAC/altera: Drop __init from ECC setup paths for re-probe safety Sashiko reports: "Does suppressing sysfs unbinding fully prevent the execution of freed __init memory? If altr_sysmgr_regmap_lookup_by_phandle() returns -EPROBE_DEFER, the probe is deferred until after __init memory is freed." The a10 EDAC .setup callbacks (sdmmc, ethernet, nand, dma, usb, qspi) and their helpers (altr_init_a10_ecc_device_type, altr_init_a10_ecc_block) were marked __init. These run from the probe path, which may execute after init memory is freed -- e.g. a probe deferred via -EPROBE_DEFER that only succeeds once a late/module dependency appears, or a manual unbind/rebind. Calling __init code then dereferences freed memory. Remove __init so these functions remain valid at runtime.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: block: Fix zones_cond out-of-bounds write on zone report blk_revalidate_disk_zones()CVE-2026-98635 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: block: Fix zones_cond out-of-bounds write on zone report blk_revalidate_disk_zones() sizes the zones_cond array from the disk capacity and zone size, but the index used by blk_revalidate_zone_cond() comes from the device-driven report_zones() walk and is never checked against the array size. A device reporting more zones than fit the array makes blk_zone_set_cond() write out of bounds. One way to reach this is a zone count exceeding 32 bits: both blk_revalidate_zone_args.nr_zones and struct zoned_disk_info.nr_zones are unsigned int, so a disk advertising more than UINT_MAX zones (e.g. 2^32 + 1024 zones of one 512-byte logical block) gets its zone count truncated to a small value, undersizing the array while the report walk keeps counting upward. Check the index against the array size before storing the zone condition, and refuse to revalidate when the zone count does not fit 32 bits.

Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: writeback: report a Tasks-RCU quiescent state per cgwb drain pass cleanup_offline_cgwbs_woCVE-2026-98536 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: writeback: report a Tasks-RCU quiescent state per cgwb drain pass cleanup_offline_cgwbs_workfn() drains a dying cgwb by calling cleanup_offline_cgwb() until it returns false, with a cond_resched() between passes. On a CONFIG_PREEMPTION kernel that cond_resched() does nothing: _cond_resched() is a plain "return 0", and under PREEMPT_DYNAMIC the full and lazy modes disable it. Since commit 7dadeaa6e851 ("sched: Further restrict the preemption modes") those are the only two models on the architectures with PREEMPT_LAZY support, arm64 and x86 among them, so the drain loop never reports a Tasks-RCU quiescent state. A worker draining a cgwb with millions of attached inodes runs for minutes. On a 6.18 arm64 host in lazy mode the cgwb worker drained one dying cgroup's writeback domain for over 11 minutes. A BPF program unlink (bpf_trampoline_unlink_prog -> bpf_trampoline_update -> unregister_ftrace_direct -> ftrace_shutdown -> synchronize_rcu_tasks()) waited on that grace period while holding the trampoline mutex, 42 tasks queued behind it in D state, and the hung task detector fired at 614 s and panicked the host.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/pci: Fix missing device lock in zpci_report_status() When pdev is non-NULL, zpci_report_status() accesses the device's driver. To get a consistent state matching the recovery, the device lock needs to be held. Do so by expanding the existing device lock critical section. The lock only needs to be held when the pdev is non-NULL, so extract the pdev-specific reporting into a helper function which also adds a lockdep assertion to detect calls without the device lock held.

The YaySMTP – WP Mail SMTP with Email Logs, Tracking & Reports plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Arbitrary File Upload in all versions up to, and including, 2.7.7 via the putFile function. This is due to insufficient file type validation in the putFile function, as sanitize_file_name() does not strip executable extensions and no allow-list, MIME check, or safe-extension rename is applied. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to upload files that may be executable, which makes remote code execution possible. The only server-side guard is a .htaccess file containing 'Require all denied' written by writeGuards(), which is silently ignored by nginx and by Apache configured with AllowOverride None, meaning RCE is fully achievable on those server configurations.

Oct 15, 2026A flaw was found in the ContentRepositoryImpl.copyExplodedContent function of the wildfly-core library, which is used by WildFly and JBoss EAP to manage server CVE-2026-85634 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 8.8
A flaw was found in the ContentRepositoryImpl.copyExplodedContent function of the wildfly-core library, which is used by WildFly and JBoss EAP to manage server deployments. The issue occurs when the library processes an unsanitized deployment name. Due to a missing containment check, an attacker with the Deployer RBAC role can use path traversal sequences to access files outside the restricted deployment directory. This can allow the attacker to delete arbitrary directories or create files with arbitrary content, leading to a full privilege escalation to the management SuperUser role.

Sonatype Nexus Repository 3 allows a user account that holds the edit permission on a hosted R repository to store script content in the metadata of an uploaded R package. The script runs in the browser of a user who opens the details of that package in the Browse user interface, with the permissions of the viewing user. In this description, a user account means an account that has supplied valid credentials. The anonymous user, if enabled, is also a user account and can hold this permission if an administrator grants it.

Oct 15, 2026A missing authorization check in Nexus Repository 3's NuGet Components API upload path allows an account holding only repository read and browse privileges to uCVE-2026-97665 · Other software · Sonatype · reported by 103e4ec9-0a87-450b-af77-479448ddef11High 7.1
A missing authorization check in Nexus Repository 3's NuGet Components API upload path allows an account holding only repository read and browse privileges to upload and persist NuGet symbol packages (.snupkg) to a hosted repository, bypassing the write-permission check enforced for ordinary package uploads. Exploitation requires a hosted NuGet repository with Symbol Server enabled. If anonymous access is enabled, the built-in anonymous user holds read and browse privileges across all repositories by default, so this precondition can also be met without an authenticated account.
