  • Oct 26, 2026Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in the HTTP/2 implementation of mtrudel bandit allows an unauthenticated remote aCVE-2026-109584 · Other software · mtrudel · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.7

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) vulnerability in the HTTP/2 implementation of mtrudel bandit allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust server memory via a small HPACK-compressed HEADERS block. The block stores one large cookie value in the HPACK dynamic table and then references it tens of thousands of times with 1-byte indexed fields. In the reporter's run, a 49 KB block made a server with default settings allocate a 183 MB cookie binary before any application code ran, and every concurrent stream can repeat the cost. Bandit.HTTP2.Connection caps only the compressed block (max_header_block_size), and its check of the decoded list against max_header_list_size never fires because that setting defaults to :infinity. combine_cookie_crumbs/1 in lib/bandit/http2/stream.ex then joins every crumb into one binary. This issue affects bandit: from 0.3.3 before 1.14.0.

  • Oct 26, 2026Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an Expression Language Statement ('Expression Language Injection') vulnerability in Apache Camel AWS2-s3 comCVE-2026-95664 · Email & office · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgMedium 5.4

Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an Expression Language Statement ('Expression Language Injection') vulnerability in Apache Camel AWS2-s3 component. This issue affects Apache Camel: from 4.8.0 before 4.18.5, from 4.19.0 before 4.22.2. For the object it uploads, reads or deletes, the camel-aws2-s3 producer takes the key from the CamelAwsS3Key message header and falls back to the keyName option configured on the endpoint only when that header is absent. Since 4.8.0, AWS2S3Utils.determineKey() also passed the resulting value to the Simple language whenever it contained ${ or $simple{, so that a route could use a dynamic key, and the evaluation applied to a value taken from the header as well as to the configured option. The header is not route configuration, however: the aws2-s3 consumer sets CamelAwsS3Key on the exchanges it creates to the key of the object it read, that is, the name of the object in the bucket. In a route that does nothing more than consume from one aws2-s3 endpoint and produce to another, the name of each consumed object therefore reached the producer, and a name containing either marker was evaluated as an expression, although the route au

  • Oct 23, 2026Serialize JavaScript serializes JavaScript values to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions and functions.CVE-2026-115897 · Other software · yahoo · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

Serialize JavaScript serializes JavaScript values to a superset of JSON that includes regular expressions and functions. Prior to 7.1.3, the function-source escaping logic does not neutralize a bare closing-script prefix when attacker-influenced function source text ends exactly at that prefix. Because each function body is escaped independently, a delimiter supplied by surrounding serialized output can terminate an HTML script element, and a later serialized value supplies injected markup that becomes a live element in the page. Exploitation requires control of a serialized function's source text, such as through a spoofed toString(). This issue is fixed in version 7.1.3.

  • Oct 23, 2026HTTP::Headers::ActionPack versions before 0.10 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via Accept-Language ranges matched as regular expressions.CVE-2026-113877 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441e

HTTP::Headers::ActionPack versions before 0.10 for Perl allow CPU exhaustion via Accept-Language ranges matched as regular expressions. _language_match interpolates each Accept-Language range into the pattern `/^$range\-/i` without escaping it, so regular expression syntax in the header reaches the regex engine. A 12-byte range such as `(a?|b?){26}z` backtracks for seconds, and each increment of the quantifier doubles the time. An invalid range such as `(` fails to compile. A remote attacker can exhaust CPU, or make choose_language die, in any application that passes an untrusted Accept-Language header to it.

  • Oct 22, 2026body-parser is body parsing middleware for Node.js and Express.CVE-2026-111181 · Other software · body-parser · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 7.5

body-parser is body parsing middleware for Node.js and Express. In versions before 1.20.9 and in versions from 2.0.0 before 2.4.0, a single request can crash any application using body-parser with default options. When a request carries a Content-Encoding such as gzip, body-parser pipes it into a decompression stream and, after reading the body, leaves that stream with no error listener. A payload of one valid compressed frame followed by trailing bytes decodes and the application responds normally, but the trailing bytes then reach the already-finished decoder, which emits an error that is re-thrown as an uncaught exception and terminates the process. No matching route is required because body parsing runs before routing, so any endpoint that parses a body is affected. The issue is fixed in body-parser 2.4.0 and 1.20.9, and users should upgrade to one of those versions or later. As a workaround, disable request-body inflation (set the body-parser inflate option to false) so encoded requests are rejected before any decompression stream is created.

Improper Handling of Highly Compressed Data (Data Amplification) in esaml_binding in dropbox esaml allows an unauthenticated attacker to exhaust server memory and crash the Erlang VM via a crafted compressed SAMLResponse. esaml_binding:decode_response/2 base64-decodes the attacker-supplied SAMLResponse, inflates it with zlib:unzip/1 with no bound on the output, then converts the result to a charlist with binary_to_list/1 before parsing. This runs on the SAML consume (ACS) and single-logout endpoints, which accept unauthenticated requests by design, and it runs before any signature check. A small deflate stream reaches a compression ratio near 1000 to 1, so a request body of tens of kilobytes inflates to hundreds of megabytes and then to several gigabytes of list heap, so a few requests exhaust memory and take the node down. This issue affects esaml: from 0.1.0 onward.

  • Oct 21, 2026A vulnerability in the database service feature of Cisco Expressway Series could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker with network access to a Cisco ExpresCVE-2026-76466 · Network & remote access · Cisco · reported by psirt@cisco.comCritical 9.8

A vulnerability in the database service feature of Cisco Expressway Series could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker with network access to a Cisco Expressway device to execute arbitrary operating system commands as root. This vulnerability is due to the use of persistent cookies. Additionally, there is insufficient validation of client certificates when the TLS Verify Mode is set to Enabled for clustering, which means that client certificates are not validated. An attacker with possession of the cookies could exploit this vulnerability by connecting to the database service and invoking specific remote procedure call (RPC) commands. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying operating system of an affected device. A reachable-assertion flaw in the HPACK header-compression decoder of the HTTP/2 (h2/gRPC) stack in Apache bRPC (version < 1.18.0) on all platforms allows a remote attacker to crash the server process by sending a crafted sequence of HPACK headers, resulting in a denial of service. Root Cause: In src/brpc/details/hpack.cpp, IndexTable::Init sizes the dynamic-table ring buffer as num_headers = max_size / (32 + 2), i.e. it assumes a minimum table entry of 34 bytes (name >= 1 byte + value >= 1 byte + 32 bytes of overhead). However, RFC 7541 section 4.1 specifies that the minimum entry size is 33 bytes, because the value may be empty (name >= 1 byte + value == 0 + 32 bytes). For the default 4096-byte table this allocates only 120 slots (4096/34). Eviction in AddHeader is driven by byte usage (_max_size), not by slot count, so a peer can add 121 minimal 33-byte entries (121*33 = 3993 <= 4096) without triggering eviction. The 121st AddHeader then hits CHECK(!_header_queue.full()), which aborts the process. Affected Scenarios: Use a bRPC server that serves HTTP/2 or gRPC requests (e.g. via the h2 protocol) from an untrusted network. The malicious header block is processed during HPACK d
