  • Sep 4, 2026undici bundles a WebSocket client whose permessage-deflate size-limit cleanup removes all listeners from the internal zlib inflate stream, including its error lCVE-2026-85024 · Other software · undici · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbMedium 5.9

undici bundles a WebSocket client whose permessage-deflate size-limit cleanup removes all listeners from the internal zlib inflate stream, including its error listener, while that stream can still emit. When a remote peer sends a compressed payload that crosses the built-in 128 MiB decompressed-payload limit and then contains a malformed DEFLATE byte, the inflate stream emits a data error with no listener attached, which Node.js treats as a fatal unhandled error and terminates the entire process. Exploitation is remote and unauthenticated, requires no application mistake, and is asymmetric, since roughly 130 KB on the wire expands past the limit and crashes the process, and reconnecting can repeat the crash. This affects undici versions from 6.25.0 up to 6.28.1, from 7.28.0 up to 7.29.1, and from 8.1.0 up to 8.10.2. Users should upgrade to undici 6.28.1, 7.29.1, or 8.10.2.

  • Aug 21, 2026Typemill is a flat-file, Markdown-based content management system designed for informational documentation websites.CVE-2026-53468 · Other software · typemill · reported by GitHubMedium 4.6

Typemill is a flat-file, Markdown-based content management system designed for informational documentation websites. Versions prior to 2.23.0 are vulnerable to stored HTML attribute injection in the page metadata fields (`og:title` and `og:description`). An authenticated user with permission to modify page metadata can inject arbitrary HTML attributes into generated `<meta>` tags due to missing output encoding. Under certain browser or DOM interaction scenarios, this may lead to stored cross-site scripting (XSS). Version 2.23.0 fixes the issue.

  • Aug 1, 2026Wazuh 5.0.0-beta1 (fixed in 5.0.0-beta3) does not validate or override the cluster_name and cluster_node fields in inventory-sync Start FlatBuffer messages, whiCVE-2026-67307 · Other software · wazuh · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7

Wazuh 5.0.0-beta1 (fixed in 5.0.0-beta3) does not validate or override the cluster_name and cluster_node fields in inventory-sync Start FlatBuffer messages, while validating only the agentid against the authenticated agent identity. ### Impact If this library is used in tandem with the `permessage-deflate` extension, a WebSocket server or client can be made to accept messages that are larger than the configured maximum message size. This is because this limit is checked against the message frames' length headers, which give the size of the compressed data, not the size after decompression. This can lead to applications accepting larger messages than expected and exceeding their intended resource usage. ### Patches The issue has been patched in version 0.8.1, by checking the length of messages after they are processed by incoming extensions. All users should upgrade to this version. ### Workarounds No known workarounds exist. ### Acknowledgements This issue was discovered and reported by Pranjali Thakur, DepthFirst Security Research Team.

  • Jul 17, 2026Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to inflate the fee-payer's gas cost per payment by a lCVE-2026-59694 · Other software · ZenHive · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbHigh 8.3

Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input in ZenHive mpp allows an unauthenticated remote client to inflate the fee-payer's gas cost per payment by a large multiplier, degrading the sponsor's operating margin. When the mpp Elixir library is configured as fee payer (fee_payer: true), MPP.Tempo.Transaction.cosign_fee_payer/3 re-signs the client-supplied base fields of the 0x76 AASigned envelope verbatim, including the EIP-2930 access list, without validating its length or contents. EIP-2930 access list entries incur intrinsic gas (~2,400 gas per address, plus 1,900 gas per storage key) charged before any opcode executes, regardless of whether the listed addresses are ever touched. A malicious client submits a valid transferWithMemo call alongside a large number of fabricated access-list entries. The server co-signs and broadcasts the transaction. The intended transfer executes normally, but the fee-payer wallet pays a large multiple of the expected gas cost with no corresponding on-chain work. At the maintainer's default of 137 access-list entries (fitting within Bandit's 10,000-byte per-header-field limit) and 100 Gwei max_fee_per_gas, per-payment gas cost rises from ~51,

  • Jul 14, 2026A flaw was found in libsoup's WebSocket implementation when using the permessage-deflate extension.CVE-2026-15709 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.5

A flaw was found in libsoup's WebSocket implementation when using the permessage-deflate extension. The extension's decompression loop (inflate()) processes data in chunks without enforcing an upper boundary limit on the output buffer size. While libsoup limits the incoming compressed frame size via max_incoming_payload_size, it fails to track or limit memory allocation during decompression. A separate check for decompressed size (max_total_message_size) exists but executes only after inflation is complete, and it is entirely disabled by default for client connections. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a small, highly compressed payload (a decompression bomb), causing unbounded memory allocation that triggers an Out-of-Memory (OOM) crash and a Denial of Service (DoS).

BoidCMS is an open-source, PHP-based flat-file CMS for building simple websites and blogs, using JSON as its database. Versions prior to 2.1.3 are vulnerable to a critical Local File Inclusion (LFI) attack via the tpl parameter, which can lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE).The application fails to sanitize the tpl (template) parameter during page creation and updates. This parameter is passed directly to a require_once() statement without path validation. An authenticated administrator can exploit this by injecting path traversal sequences (../) into the tpl value to escape the intended theme directory and include arbitrary files — specifically, files from the server's media/ directory. When combined with the file upload functionality, this becomes a full RCE chain: an attacker can first upload a file with embedded PHP code (e.g., disguised as image data), then use the path traversal vulnerability to include that file via require_once(), executing the embedded code with web server privileges. This issue has been fixed in version 2.1.3.

flatpak-builder is a tool to build flatpaks from source. From 1.4.5 to before 1.4.8, the license-files manifest key takes an array of paths to user defined licence files relative to the source directory of the module. The paths from that array are resolved using g_file_resolve_relative_path() and validated to stay inside the source directory using two checks - g_file_get_relative_path() which does not resolve symlinks and g_file_query_file_type() with G_FILE_QUERY_INFO_NOFOLLOW_SYMLINKS which only applies to the final path component. The copy operation runs on host. This can be exploited by using a crafted manifest and/or source to read arbitrary files from the host and capture them into the build output. • Mar 20, 2026flatted is a circular JSON parser.CVE-2026-33228 · Other software · WebReflection · reported by GitHubHigh 8.9

flatted is a circular JSON parser. Prior to version 3.4.2, the parse() function in flatted can use attacker-controlled string values from the parsed JSON as direct array index keys, without validating that they are numeric. Since the internal input buffer is a JavaScript Array, accessing it with the key "__proto__" returns Array.prototype via the inherited getter. This object is then treated as a legitimate parsed value and assigned as a property of the output object, effectively leaking a live reference to Array.prototype to the consumer. Any code that subsequently writes to that property will pollute the global prototype. This issue has been patched in version 3.4.2.

  • Mar 12, 2026The undici WebSocket client is vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack via unbounded memory consumption during permessage-deflate decompression.CVE-2026-1526 · Other software · undici · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 7.5

The undici WebSocket client is vulnerable to a denial-of-service attack via unbounded memory consumption during permessage-deflate decompression. When a WebSocket connection negotiates the permessage-deflate extension, the client decompresses incoming compressed frames without enforcing any limit on the decompressed data size. A malicious WebSocket server can send a small compressed frame (a "decompression bomb") that expands to an extremely large size in memory, causing the Node.js process to exhaust available memory and crash or become unresponsive. The vulnerability exists in the PerMessageDeflate.decompress() method, which accumulates all decompressed chunks in memory and concatenates them into a single Buffer without checking whether the total size exceeds a safe threshold.

  • Feb 21, 2026Formwork is a flat file-based Content Management System (CMS).CVE-2026-27198 · Other software · getformwork · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

Formwork is a flat file-based Content Management System (CMS). In versions 2.0.0 through 2.3.3, the application fails to properly enforce role-based authorization during account creation. Although the system validates that the specified role exists, it does not verify whether the current user has sufficient privileges to assign highly privileged roles such as admin. As a result, an authenticated user with the editor role can create a new account with administrative privileges, leading to full administrative access and complete compromise of the CMS. This issue has been fixed in version 2.3.4.

  • Dec 16, 2025In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmw_balloon: indicate success when effectively deflating during migration When migrating aCVE-2025-68248 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vmw_balloon: indicate success when effectively deflating during migration When migrating a balloon page, we first deflate the old page to then inflate the new page. However, if inflating the new page succeeded, we effectively deflated the old page, reducing the balloon size. In that case, the migration actually worked: similar to migrating+ immediately deflating the new page. The old page will be freed back to the buddy. Right now, the core will leave the page be marked as isolated (as we returned an error). When later trying to putback that page, we will run into the WARN_ON_ONCE() in balloon_page_putback(). That handling was changed in commit 3544c4faccb8 ("mm/balloon_compaction: stop using __ClearPageMovable()"); before that change, we would have tolerated that way of handling it. To fix it, let's just return 0 in that case, making the core effectively just clear the "isolated" flag + freeing it back to the buddy as if the migration succeeded. Note that the new page will also get freed when the core puts the last reference. Note that this also makes it all be more consistent: we will no longer unisola
