NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. Prior to commit f41fc1e, the CI workflow .github/workflows/validation.yml runs on pull_request and executes code supplied by the pull request before any maintainer review. Three PR-editable files drive this: "requirements.txt", ".pre-commit-hooks-config.yaml" / ".pre-commit-yamlfmt-config.yaml", and ".gitmodules". A contributor with no special repository access could open a pull request that modifies these files and have their code run on the CI runner. This issue has been patched via commit f41fc1e.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: octeontx2-af: fix out-of-bounds read setting MSI-X irq affinity rvu_register_interrupts() walks every MSI-X vector and uses strstr() to match "Mbox" or "FLR" in irq_name before pinning those interrupts to CPU 0. irq_name is a per-vector NAME_SIZE buffer, but not every slot is populated before this loop runs. strstr() keeps scanning until it finds a NUL terminator, so an uninitialized slot can trigger a KASAN slab-out-of-bounds read at boot when debug options are enabled. Use strnstr() with NAME_SIZE to bound the search within each vector's name buffer.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: LoongArch: Add DIRECT_MAP_PHYSMEM_END definition get_free_mem_region() and mhp_get_pluggable_range() bound their search to DIRECT_MAP_PHYSMEM_END. LoongArch does not define it, so the fallback in include/linux/mm.h applies: under CONFIG_SPARSEMEM_VMEMMAP it is (1ULL << MAX_PHYSMEM_BITS) - 1, a compile-time constant that does not adapt to the CPU's physical address space bits (cpu_pabits, probed from CPUCFG1). The vmemmap window only covers physical space below 2^(cpu_pabits+1) (i.e. VMEMMAP_SIZE), so on CPUs with fewer physical address bits than MAX_PHYSMEM_BITS the fallback allows get_free_mem_region() to return a ZONE_DEVICE region outside the vmemmap window; vmemmap_populate() then wraps the memmap range around and maps it into low memory, silently corrupting the page tables. The same search also picked the top-of- address-space region that crashed memmap_init_zone_device() with amdkfd on Loongson-3C6000 in 6.16 [1]; the commit 2969b42c8f99 ("LoongArch/mm: align vmemmap to maximal folio size") keeps that region in bounds on current Loongson-3C6000 configs, but CPUs with smaller cpu_pabits (e.g. the Loongson-2

  • Sep 18, 2026InfiniteWP Client: SQL InjectionCVE-2026-17576 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.5

The InfiniteWP Client plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to SQL Injection via the get_comments action in versions up to, and including, 1.13.9. This is due to insufficient escaping on the array-key names supplied in the JSON request body before use in a SQL statement: IWP_MMB_Comment::get_comments() calls extract() on $args (which silently skips keys that are not valid PHP variable names) but a second foreach($args as $checkbox => $checkbox_val) processes every key, strips the 'iwp_get_comments_' prefix with str_replace(), wraps the remainder in single quotes, and imploded it into an IN(...) clause that is executed via $wpdb->get_results() with no prepare(). Because the request body is read from php://input and JSON-decoded, wp_magic_quotes() never touches the data, so quote characters in keys pass through unaltered. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access and above (an administrator can register their own public key via add_site using the plugin's WP-admin-generated activation_key and then issue signed get_comments requests), to append additional SQL queries into already existing queries that can be used to extract sensitive information

  • Sep 17, 2026NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox.CVE-2026-54918 · Other software · netbox-community · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. In the affected repository revisions, NETBOX_DT_LIBRARY_URL in tests/test_configuration.py is a free-form tracked constant that an unauthenticated pull-request author can change before the validation test harness runs. During pytest collection, tests/definitions_test.py passes the value to Repo.clone_from and create_remote("upstream").fetch(), causing blind Git smart-HTTP requests to an attacker-selected host or loading attacker-controlled tests/known-*.json validation caches. The blind request cannot set arbitrary metadata-service headers or return response bodies, and this path does not execute remote Git hooks, but substituted known data can bypass slug, module, and rack uniqueness validation. This vulnerability is fixed in commit 8980c690097e92f5028c7e6df402b327d827ecd5.

  • Sep 17, 2026NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox.CVE-2026-54916 · Other software · netbox-community · reported by GitHubHigh 8.8

NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. The absence of tests/init.py and the lack of --import-mode=importlib cause pytest prepend import mode to place the tests directory at the front of sys.path during collection. An unauthenticated contributor can add a module such as tests/git.py that shadows GitPython when tests/definitions_test.py executes from git import Git, Repo, or add tests/conftest.py for automatic collection-time execution. Python imports and runs the pull-request module before any test function, allowing arbitrary code execution on the GitHub Actions runner, test-result tampering, and access to tokens or network resources exposed to the workflow. This module-shadowing path is independent of the earlier pickle deserialization flaw and the separately tracked NETBOX_DT_LIBRARY_URL issue. This vulnerability is fixed by commit b0d9a3dadd0a0a9d3c93b0b2777559fd4bad1037.

  • Sep 17, 2026NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox.CVE-2026-54752 · Other software · netbox-community · reported by GitHubCritical 9.6

NetBox Device Type Library is a collection of community-sourced device type definitions for import into NetBox. The validation test harness can deserialize pull-request-controlled tracked pickle cache files through pickle.load in the read_pickle_data function in tests/pickle_operations.py. An unauthenticated contributor can change USE_LOCAL_KNOWN_SLUGS in tests/test_configuration.py and supply a crafted tests/known-modules.pickle or tests/known-racks.pickle file that tests/definitions_test.py loads when pytest runs. Deserialization invokes attacker-controlled object reduction behavior, allowing arbitrary code execution in the GitHub Actions runner or in a maintainer process that runs the tests, with the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of reachable resources at risk. This vulnerability is fixed with commit 1c6f7e2b93589b965318c6e67ac3504831f0e71e.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nilfs2: fix infinite loop in nilfs_clean_segments() syzbot reported a hung task in nilfs_transaction_begin(). This occurs because the cleaner ioctl falls into an infinite loop if nilfs_segctor_construct() repeatedly returns -EROFS (e.g. the device is remounted as read-only after an I/O error). Currently in nilfs_clean_segments(), if err is non-zero, it logs the error and sleeps but doesn't abort when it encounters a terminal error like -EROFS. This causes the thread to loop forever. Fix this by breaking out of the loop if nilfs_segctor_construct() returns -EROFS. This matches the behaviour in nilfs_segctor_write_out(), which also handles -EROFS.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: irqchip/gic-v5: Clear per-CPU IRS data on teardown IRS affinity setup publishes an IRS pointer and IAFFID state in the per-CPU data before the remaining IRS initialization can fail. The error path then frees the IRS data without clearing that published state, leaving CPUs associated with freed memory. On initialization failure and normal IRS teardown, clear the per-CPU IRS association by removing the stale pointer to irs_data. Also invalidate the per-CPU IAFFID state for any CPUs that were tied to the IRS before it was freed.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: RFCOMM: Validate MTU in rfcomm_apply_pn() to prevent infinite loop rfcomm_apply_pn() accepts the MTU value from a remote PN (Parameter Negotiation) frame without checking for zero. When the remote peer sends an MTU of zero, d->mtu is set to 0. This causes the sendmsg path to enter an infinite loop when fragmenting data, as each fragment has size == min_t(size_t, len, 0) == 0, so the remaining length never decreases. The infinite allocation of zero-length skbs exhausts all system memory. Fix by clamping d->mtu to RFCOMM_DEFAULT_MTU when the negotiated value is zero, consistent with the initial value assigned in rfcomm_dlc_alloc().

Apache NiFi 1.5.0 through 2.11.0 provide REST API methods that replace the entire contents of a Process Group using a client-supplied flow definition, covering Process Group flow replacement together with versioned flow update and rebase operations. Framework authorization for these methods was limited to read and write privileges on the Process Group itself, unlike the corresponding asynchronous update request methods, which also authorize the components encapsulated in the Process Group along with referenced Controller Services, Parameter Contexts, and Parameter Providers. As a result of the missing authorization, an authenticated user with write access to a Process Group could supply a flow definition that modifies or removes components in descendant Process Groups protected by more restrictive access policies, and could bind components to Controller Services and Parameter Contexts without authorization for those referenced components. Existing verification checks limited the impact to stopped components, and the issue applies only to deployments that use component-level authorization policies, because the framework enforces write permissions as the security boundary. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/damon/core: avoid infinite kdamond_merge_regions() internal loop Patch series "mm/damon: unurgent fixes for infinite loop, NULL de-ref and races", v1.1. Sashiko found a few issues in DAMON that could cause infinite loop, NULL dereference and monitoring results degradation. The first two sounds scary but the infinite loop happens only under unreasonable user setup. The NULL dereference is only in a unit test. Monitoring results degradation is trivial since it is only best-effort, and those happens from only unlikely races. Still those are bugs that better to fix if possible. Fix those. This patch (of 6): Due to online parameter update like events, the number of DAMON regions could be higher than the user-set upper limit. kdamond_merge_regions() repeats merge regions until the number meets the limit, while doubling the merge threshold up to the theoretical maximum threshold. It is tried only up to the theoretical maximum threshold because even the aggressive merging can fail from reducing the number of regions under the user-defined upper limit. For example, there could be many user-defined non-conti

  • Sep 2, 2026In Eclipse Ditto versions 3.0.0 to 3.9.6, the Things service fetches WoT (Web of Things) ThingModels over HTTP from URLs supplied by API users in the definitionCVE-2026-84175 · Other software · Eclipse Foundation · reported by emo@eclipse.orgMedium 5.3

In Eclipse Ditto versions 3.0.0 to 3.9.6, the Things service fetches WoT (Web of Things) ThingModels over HTTP from URLs supplied by API users in the definition field of a Thing or Feature, without validating the target host, and follows HTTP redirects without re-validating the redirect target and without a hop limit. An authenticated user who is permitted to create a Thing, or who holds WRITE permission on an existing Thing, can thereby cause the Things service to issue arbitrary HTTP GET requests from inside the deployment's network — including to cloud instance-metadata endpoints and other internal services — and can use the differing error responses returned to the caller to enumerate internal services. Versions 2.4.0 to 2.5.x contain the same code, but are only affected where the operator explicitly enabled the WoT integration feature toggle, which is disabled by default in those versions.

  • Sep 1, 2026Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to submit a non-finite decimal value that bypasses numeriCVE-2026-82734 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbLow 2.1

Improper Validation of Specified Quantity in Input vulnerability in ash-project ash allows an attacker to submit a non-finite decimal value that bypasses numeric bounds constraints or fails later operations on the value. Ash.Type.Decimal cast input through Ecto's decimal cast in cast_input/2 and cast_stored/2 (lib/ash/type/decimal.ex) without checking that the resulting value is finite. Elixir's Decimal represents Infinity and NaN as valid structs, so a value such as "Infinity" or "NaN" passed casting and was persisted. Because NaN compares as false against every bound, min and max constraints do not reject it, and the stored special value later raises when used in Decimal arithmetic or is refused by the data layer, failing subsequent requests. The fix rejects any non-finite Decimal during casting. This issue affects ash: from 1.28.0 before 3.32.2.

  • Aug 30, 2026Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition (Infinite Loop) vulnerability in ash-project ash_ai allows an attacker who can influence a model's output to hang the tool CVE-2026-82579 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6

Loop with Unreachable Exit Condition (Infinite Loop) vulnerability in ash-project ash_ai allows an attacker who can influence a model's output to hang the tool loop and drive unbounded, repeated model requests. AshAi.ToolLoop classifies a model response of :tool_calls, then filters the calls through normalize_tool_calls/2 and unprocessed_tool_calls/2. Both can empty the list: a call missing a valid name, or one reusing a tool_call_id that already has a result in history, is dropped. With an empty list the loop appended nothing and recursed with a byte-identical message list, so the conversation never advanced and the same request was re-sent every iteration. Under the supported max_iterations: :infinity this never terminated; otherwise it exhausted the full budget. Prompt-injected content can make the model re-emit a spent tool_call_id. The fix treats an empty post-filter list as terminal. This issue affects ash_ai: from 0.6.0 before 1.0.0.

A network-reachable client that has not yet authenticated can hold a MongoDB Connector for BI authentication session open indefinitely by beginning a SASL-based login exchange and then declining to complete it. Because the negotiation loop had no overall time bound and the read from the client had no deadline, each such session retains a worker, a client connection slot, and its associated backend database connections until the process is restarted. Repeated use of this behavior can consume the configured connection capacity and prevent legitimate users from establishing new sessions.
