  • Sep 22, 2026MISP ships with PHP's phar stream wrapper registered in both its web entry point and its console entry point.CVE-2026-95806 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8High 7.7

MISP ships with PHP's phar stream wrapper registered in both its web entry point and its console entry point.  The phar stream wrapper causes PHP to treat a phar archive as a directory, which has two security consequences:    - any filesystem operation on a caller-influenced path that resolves to a phar archive triggers an implicit unserialize() call, creating a deserialization sink;  - a relocated application root can reach executable code inside an uploaded phar file, enabling arbitrary code execution as the web user. No component of MISP, the vendored CakePHP framework, or any runtime-loaded library reads or constructs phar archives. The wrapper therefore serves no legitimate purpose in the MISP runtime and exists solely as an available primitive for an attacker who can influence a filesystem path argument.

  • Sep 18, 2026A flaw was found in the OpenShift console.CVE-2026-75885 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatCritical 9.3

A flaw was found in the OpenShift console. Unauthenticated access to the `/api/devfile/` and `/api/devfile/samples/` endpoints allows a remote attacker to send crafted devfile payloads. This can lead to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF), where the console pod makes requests to internal services and reflects partial responses to the attacker. Additionally, by sending repeated large requests without a specified content length, an attacker can cause unbounded memory growth, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: printk: Fix possible console use-after-free When emitting a record via legacy printing, itCVE-2026-93134 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: printk: Fix possible console use-after-free When emitting a record via legacy printing, it is possible that a handover to another legacy printing context occurs. When a context has performed a handover, the console SRCU read lock is released and the pointer to the console struct might now be invalid. Therefore, after calling nbcon_legacy_emit_next_record() or console_emit_next_record(), it is necessary to check if a handover occurred _before_ further @con usage. Sashiko pointed out that console_flush_one_record() was not doing this. In console_flush_one_record(), after emitting a record, move the further usage of @con after the handover check.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: amba-pl011: keep console clock enabled for atomic writes pl011_console_write_atomiCVE-2026-90338 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: amba-pl011: keep console clock enabled for atomic writes pl011_console_write_atomic() runs from nbcon atomic context, where sleeping is not allowed. It calls clk_enable(), which takes the common-clk enable_lock. Under PREEMPT_RT that is a sleeping lock: clk_enable_lock() first tries spin_trylock_irqsave(), but on contention falls back to spin_lock_irqsave(). Therefore, an atomic-context printk on an RT kernel with a clk-backed pl011 can trip: BUG: sleeping function called from invalid context at spinlock_rt.c:48 __might_resched from rt_spin_lock rt_spin_lock from clk_enable_lock clk_enable_lock from clk_enable clk_enable from pl011_console_write_atomic ... from vprintk_emit This was found and reproduced on PREEMPT_RT. Arm32 and arm64 DT SoCs are affected; arm64 SBSA/ACPI has no clk, so clk_enable(NULL) short-circuits before the lock. In addition, write_atomic() may be invoked from NMI context and is documented to avoid locking. Removing clk_enable() from the callback also avoids a potentially unsafe NMI acquisition of the common-clock enable_lock. An nbcon atomic-capable console m

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: core: do fallible allocations before the console can be registered serial_core_addCVE-2026-90337 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: core: do fallible allocations before the console can be registered serial_core_add_one_port() allocates uport->tty_groups after uart_configure_port(), which may register the console. If the allocation fails, the driver unwinds the port while its console remains registered. The earlier uport->name allocation has a related failure path that leaves state->uart_port linked to a port being freed. Failslab reproduced a NULL dereference in PL011 console output and a KASAN use-after-free in i.MX console output after failed binds. Allocate the name and tty_groups before linking the port and configuring it. Reserve space for the optional driver attribute group because config_port() may populate uport->attr_group during configuration.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: msm: Disable DMA for kernel console UART At the moment, concurrent writes from userspace and the kernel to the console can trigger a race condition that results in an infinite loop of the same messages printed over and over again. This is most likely to happen during system startup or shutdown when the init system starts/stops a large number of system services that interact with various kernel code. When userspace writes to the TTY device, the driver initiates an asynchronous DMA transfer and releases the port lock. At the same moment, the kernel printk path might grab the port lock and re-configure the UART controller for PIO, without waiting for the DMA operation to complete. It seems like this collision results in zero progress being reported for the DMA engine, so the same text is printed to the console over and over again. For the kernel console, we want a reliable output path that will be functional even during crashes etc. So rather than implementing complex code to synchronize the kernel console write routines with the userspace DMA write routines, simply disable DMA for the console UART instanc

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fbcon: fix NULL pointer dereference for a console without vc_data fbcon_new_modelist() runs when a framebuffer's modelist changes. For each console mapped to it with fb_display[i].mode set, it reads vc_cons[i].d and passes the vc_num to fbcon_set_disp(). This assumes a console with a mode set has a vc_data, but it can be NULL. fbcon_set_disp() sets fb_display[i].mode before it checks vc_data, and fbcon_deinit() leaves the mode set after the vc_data is freed. fbcon_new_modelist() then dereferences the NULL vc_data. Keep fb_display[i].mode set only while the console has a vc_data. Check vc_data before setting the mode in fbcon_set_disp(), and clear the mode in fbcon_deinit(). The existing mode check in fbcon_new_modelist() then skips such consoles.

The Ajax processor within the Carbon console fails to adequately protect state-changing operations from Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks. Specifically, it utilizes the HTTP GET method for these operations, and while the SameSite=Lax cookie attribute is employed for mitigation, this mechanism is bypassed as it permits cookies to be sent with cross-origin top-level navigation requests, including GET requests. This allows an attacker to trick an authenticated user's browser into unknowingly executing unintended actions. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability to perform unauthorized state-altering requests on behalf of authenticated users. This could lead to consequences such as data modification, account changes, or other actions that could result in data compromise or loss of user control over their account. However, this attack is only feasible if the Carbon console and related services are exposed to the public internet, which is not recommended according to WSO2's security guidelines.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: MIPS: DEC: Prevent initial console buffer from landing in XKPHYS In 64-bit configurations calling the initial console output handler from a kernel thread other than the initial one will result in a situation where the stack has been placed in the XKPHYS 64-bit memory segment and consequently so has been the buffer allocated there that is used as the argument corresponding to the `%s' output conversion specifier for the firmware's printf() entry point. This 64-bit address will then be truncated by 32-bit firmware, resulting in an attempt to access the wrong memory location, which in turn will cause all kinds of unpredictable behaviour, such as a kernel crash: Console: colour dummy device 160x64 Calibrating delay loop... 49.36 BogoMIPS (lpj=192512) pid_max: default: 32768 minimum: 301 CPU 0 Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 000000000203bd00, epc == ffffffffbfc08364, ra == ffffffffbfc08800 Oops[#1]: CPU: 0 PID: 0 Comm: swapper Not tainted 5.18.0-rc2-00254-gfb649bda6f56-dirty #121 $ 0 : 0000000000000000 0000000000000001 0000000000000023 ffffffff80684ba0 $ 4 : 000000000203

  • Jul 17, 2026JLine is a Java library for handling console input.CVE-2026-56741 · Other software · jline · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

JLine is a Java library for handling console input. Prior to 3.30.14, 4.0.16, and 4.2.1, the JLine3 Telnet server remote-telnet module does not apply an upper bound to terminal dimensions received via the Telnet NAWS option, and TelnetIO.handleNAWS() in TelnetIO.java:856-879 reads client-supplied width and height as 16-bit unsigned integers and passes values such as 65535x65535 to setTerminalGeometry(), allowing an unauthenticated remote attacker to repeatedly alternate values and trigger continuous expensive rendering work that causes CPU exhaustion and denial of service. This issue is fixed in versions 3.30.14, 4.0.16, and 4.2.1.

JLine is a Java library for handling console input. Prior to 3.30.14, 4.0.16, and 4.2.1, the JLine3 Telnet server remote-telnet module does not limit the number of environment variables a client may inject via the Telnet NEW-ENVIRON option, and TelnetIO.readNEVariables() in TelnetIO.java:1127-1180 stores each variable pair in a HashMap held by ConnectionData, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to flood unique variable pairs before the terminating IAC SE byte and exhaust JVM heap memory with an OutOfMemoryError.
