A vulnerability in the export policies functionality of Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC) could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive files on an affected device. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials. This vulnerability is due to insufficient access control to file system resources. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting crafted values in specific UI fields. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to access sensitive files from the underlying file system of an affected device, including key materials that could be used to elevate privileges to root on the affected APIC and on managed switches.

  • Oct 6, 2026A flaw was found in postgres-exporter.CVE-2026-83550 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatHigh 7.1

A flaw was found in postgres-exporter. Due to the blank import of `net/http/pprof`, debug endpoints are exposed on the unauthenticated metrics listener. A remote attacker within the cluster network can access these endpoints. This allows for information disclosure, potentially revealing process arguments, full goroutine stacks, and sensitive data like database connection strings or passwords from heap dumps. Additionally, repeated CPU profiling through these endpoints can lead to a denial of service.

  • Oct 2, 2026The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user.CVE-2026-104055 · Other software · Canonical · reported by security@ubuntu.comMedium 5.3

The postgresql-operator charm runs a Prometheus postgres_exporter to collect database metrics using a dedicated "monitoring" PostgreSQL user. On database connection errors, the exporter writes the monitoring user's password in cleartext to its logs. Any actor able to read those logs can recover the password, which grants read-only pg_monitor access to PostgreSQL. • Sep 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/amd_node: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference amd_smn_read/write() are exported funCVE-2026-97947 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: x86/amd_node: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference amd_smn_read/write() are exported functions around __amd_smn_rw(), so they are always available even if amd_smn_init() fails. In that case, 'amd_roots' is NULL and __amd_smn_rw() will access uninitialized memory. Then, commit: 83518453074d ("x86/amd_node: Add SMN offsets to exclusive region access") added the 'smn_exclusive' flag, which indicated the calls to pci_request_config_region_exclusive() succeeded, to prevent concurrent userspace access. Commit: 0a4b61d9c2e4 ("x86/amd_node: Fix AMD root device caching") re-ordered initialization so pci_request_config_region_exclusive() is called earlier and a failure exits amd_smn_init() before allocating 'amd_roots'. The setting of 'smn_exclusive' moved to the end of amd_smn_init(), after 'amd_roots' is allocated. It became redundant and can be removed. Replace 'smn_exclusive' with directly checking 'amd_roots', to fix a potential NULL pointer dereference and to simplify the logic. Rapid7 Bulk Export MCP versions 0.2.5 through 0.6.1 suffer from a GraphQL query injection issue in the export-status component (`get_export_status` in `src/export_manager.py`), whereby the `export_id` value — an unvalidated MCP tool argument reaching the function via the `check_rapid7_export_status` and `download_rapid7_export` tools — is interpolated directly into the GraphQL query string. A crafted `export_id` containing quote and brace characters can terminate the intended `export(id: "...")` selection early and append attacker-controlled root-level selections (for example, schema introspection), producing a single well-formed GraphQL document that is then sent to the Rapid7 export API under the operator's own API key. Notably, this issue does not grant an existing actor any access they do not already have: every injected query executes within the operator's own already-authenticated API scope, using the operator's own valid API key, and cannot cross a tenant or account boundary. A directly-malicious operator gains nothing they could not already do by calling the API directly; the realistic exposure is limited to a compromised or careless upstream MCP client, or indirect prompt

The cisco_firesight_manager_ACL_rule_export module in misp-modules generates a shell script (.sh) that authenticates to and calls the Cisco fireSIGHT Manager API. The module interpolates configuration values (IP address, login, password, domain ID, policy ID) and MISP attribute values (destination IPs, URLs, event info comments) directly into single-quoted shell string assignments without any escaping or sanitization. Because the values are placed inside single-quoted shell strings, any value containing a single-quote character (e.g., a crafted ip-dst or url attribute value submitted to MISP) breaks out of the quoting context, allowing an attacker to inject arbitrary shell commands into the exported script. A security analyst who subsequently executes the generated .sh file unmodified would run the injected commands with their own privileges, potentially exposing fireSIGHT Manager credentials, modifying ACL rules, or compromising the analyst workstation. Additionally, the module contained a secondary defect where the variable 'config' was only assigned inside a conditional block but referenced unconditionally afterward, causing a NameError (denial of service) when the request paylo

  • Sep 23, 2026Import and export users and customers: Privilege EscalationCVE-2026-86583 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 8.8

The Import and export users and customers plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.4.17 via the plugin's own export and re-import workflow. The vulnerability exists because the exporter writes CSV cells using fputcsv() with a NUL byte (\0) as the escape character, while the importer parses the same file using SplFileObject::fgetcsv() with only a single delimiter argument, causing PHP's default backslash escape character to be applied instead; because the export column layout places display_name immediately before the role column and nickname immediately after, an attacker can store crafted values in those two profile fields — saved by WordPress core via the standard profile page — such that the escape mismatch causes the parser to merge the display_name cell into the role field and rebalance the column count via nickname, yielding administrator as the parsed role for their own row when it reaches the import_user function's add_role function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Subscriber-level access or above to escalate their privileges to Administrator. Exploitation requires a site administrator to trig

  • Sep 22, 2026MISP contains a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the event REST search export confirmation form.CVE-2026-95665 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.1

MISP contains a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the event REST search export confirmation form. The view template app/View/Events/ajax/eventRestSearchExportConfirmationForm.ctp renders a URL-supplied event ID list into a single-quoted JavaScript string literal using PHP's json_encode() without any hex-encoding flags. By default, json_encode() escapes double quotes and backslashes but does not escape single quotes. Because the JavaScript string is delimited by single quotes, an attacker can inject a single-quote character to terminate the string literal and execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser session. The vulnerability affects the Default and UiBeta themes, both of which render this view. The Overmind theme's own copy of the form already passed the value through an escaped data attribute and was not affected by this specific sink. Preconditions: the victim must be an authenticated MISP user and must actively open or navigate to the attacker-crafted URL. The attacker does not require an account or any prior access to the MISP instance. Security impact: successful exploitation allows execution of arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the MISP

LibreOffice converts CFF fonts to Type 1 when it subsets a font, which happens when a document is exported to PDF, and CFF fonts may be embedded in documents. A stack buffer overflow existed in that conversion. The converted operators were written into a fixed size buffer with no check that they still fit, so a glyph emitting many operators wrote past the end of the buffer. In fixed versions the remaining capacity is tracked and the conversion stops when it is used up.

  • Sep 21, 2026NotebookLM MCP is an MCP server and HTTP service for interacting with Google NotebookLM and exporting generated content to local vault directories.CVE-2026-61647 · Other software · roomi-fields · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

NotebookLM MCP is an MCP server and HTTP service for interacting with Google NotebookLM and exporting generated content to local vault directories. Versions 1.6.0 through 2.0.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the `POST /batch-to-vault` endpoint, also exposed through the `batch_to_vault` MCP tool beginning in version 1.7.0, because attacker-controlled `vault_dir` and `slug_prefix` values can cause Markdown and JSON files to be written outside the intended vault directory to any location writable by the server process. Version 2.0.3 sanitizes `slug_prefix` and supports vault containment when `NOTEBOOKLM_VAULT_ROOT` is configured; containment is not enabled if that variable is unset. Users unable to upgrade should run the server as a dedicated unprivileged account restricted to the intended vault, keep the HTTP endpoint limited to localhost, and validate `vault_dir` values supplied by LLMs processing untrusted content.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Release the export reference when reaping open stateids nfs4_put_stid() releases theCVE-2026-90236 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Release the export reference when reaping open stateids nfs4_put_stid() releases the svc_export tracked in nfs4_stid.sc_export, but free_ol_stateid_reaplist() frees open and lock stateids by calling ->sc_free() directly, bypassing that path. An open stateid takes an sc_export reference in nfs4_open() and a lock stateid takes its own in init_lock_stateid(); both reach free_ol_stateid_reaplist() through their normal teardown, the open stateid via release_open_stateid() and the lock stateid via nfsd4_release_lockowner(), each through put_ol_stateid_locked(). The reference is therefore never dropped, pinning the export and blocking unmount for the lifetime of the stateid. Release sc_export in free_ol_stateid_reaplist() the way nfs4_put_stid() does. ->sc_free() runs once per stateid, and a stateid reaches free_ol_stateid_reaplist() or nfs4_put_stid() but never both, so the reference is dropped exactly once. Revoked stateids reach this path with sc_export already cleared by drop_stid_export(), so they are skipped rather than double-freed. nfs4_put_stid() itself read sc_export before acquiring cl_lock. drop_stid

  • Sep 16, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during export state revocation nfsd4_revoke_export_staCVE-2026-90038 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Critical 9.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during export state revocation nfsd4_revoke_export_states() has the same use-after-free as nfsd4_revoke_states(): it drops nn->client_lock across revoke_one_stid() and the following read of clp->cl_minorversion, but the stateid reference it holds does not pin the client. A teardown racing the dropped lock can free the client while revoke_one_stid() still dereferences it. exportfs -u drives this path through NFSD_CMD_UNLOCK_EXPORT, so an administrator removing an export can race a client expiry. Skip a client that is already expiring and otherwise pin it with cl_rpc_users under client_lock before dropping the lock, matching nfsd4_revoke_states().
