Snipe-IT before 8.7.0 contains a missing encryption vulnerability in Api\AssetsController::store that writes plaintext into encrypted-flagged custom-field columns when callers lack assets.view.encrypted_custom_fields. Authenticated API users without that permission can create assets whose sensitive custom-field values persist unencrypted in the database, exposing them through backups, replicas, or direct database access.

  • Oct 23, 2026The DNS stub resolver in subsys/net/lib/dns/resolve.c binds one UDP socket per configured server when the resolver context is initialised (dns_resolve_init_lockCVE-2026-79981 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgMedium 6.5

The DNS stub resolver in subsys/net/lib/dns/resolve.c binds one UDP socket per configured server when the resolver context is initialised (dns_resolve_init_locked() -> register_dispatcher() -> dns_dispatcher_register()), with the local port left at 0 so the stack picks an ephemeral port exactly once. dns_write() then sends every subsequent query from that same socket without re-binding, so the source port is constant for the lifetime of the resolver context while only the 16-bit transaction identifier (ctx->queries[i].id, drawn with sys_rand16_get()) varies per query. RFC 5452 section 9.2 requires both to vary; with a fixed port, an off-path attacker has to guess only the identifier. The stable port is cheap to learn. Any single observed query reveals it permanently, and it can also be found by probing the ephemeral UDP range: subsys/net/ip/connection.c answers unmatched unicast UDP with an ICMP port-unreachable, so the resolver's socket is the one port in that range that stays silent. Acceptance of a reply is decided solely by get_slot_by_id() matching the transaction identifier and a CRC-16 of the queried name — the reply's source address is never checked (dispatcher_cb() does A

  • Oct 23, 2026obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults.CVE-2026-115478 · Other software · The-40-Thieves · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults. From 1.0.1 until 1.31.4, `create_entity`, `link_entities`, `rename_entity`, `unlink_entities` and `delete_entity` regenerate memory notes from SQLite at the computed `memory/<type>/<name>.md` path without reliably preserving note ownership or the consistency of a failed lifecycle operation. During shared materialization, a hand-authored note or an orphan left by a different entity whose name sanitized to the same path could have its entire body overwritten on the next write naming that type and name, with non-owned frontmatter preserved. `rename_entity` also seeded the destination path with a direct atomic write without validating ownership and could overwrite a foreign note there. Separately, several tools mutated SQLite before fallible filesystem work: `create_entity` and `link_entities` inserted the row or relation before materialization; `rename_entity` updated the entity, including a retired status, before updating its note; `unlink_entities` removed a relation before rematerializing the source note; and `delete_entity`'s cascade removed the target and its relations before rematerializing

  • Oct 23, 2026obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults.CVE-2026-115477 · Other software · The-40-Thieves · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

obsidian-tc is a governed, agent-ready Model Context Protocol server for Obsidian vaults. From 1.13.0 until 1.31.4, on a Streamable HTTP deployment with `auth.jwtSecret` configured and a 2026-07-28-era client declaring `elicitation.form` support, a dispatch-gated tool call offered an `inputRequired` confirmation could still complete after the human declined or cancelled, or the elicitation response was omitted or malformed, provided the client echoed the validly bound `requestState` on resubmission. The server trusted an authentic, call-bound state as proof of approval even though that state was minted before the `elicitation/create` leg was asked and proved only that the resubmission belonged to the same call. A client behaving incorrectly or under an attacker's control could therefore execute dispatch-gated destructive vault operations without the human's approval, while still requiring the caller's ordinary tool permissions. Only tools marked `destructive: true` or requiring a scope with a human-in-the-loop floor were reachable through this bypass. The sixteen handler-side conditionally gated tools, including `write_note` overwrite and `move_note`, did not read elicitation state

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: namespace: remove the fsnotify marks of a mount namespace in process context mnt_ns_release() drops the last passive reference of a mount namespace and removes its fanotify marks via fsnotify_mntns_delete(). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/sched: em_text: reject unterminated algo before autoload This is a follow-up to commit 9c572a83037a ("net/sched: fix potential stack infoleak in em_text_dump()"), which zero-initialised the dump-side struct. Sashiko pointed at a pre-existing bug that exposed the change-side input-validation gap open. em_text_change() casts the raw netlink attribute payload to struct tcf_em_text and passes conf->algo, a 16-byte array with no enforced NUL terminator, to textsearch_prepare(). On the TS_AUTOLOAD retry textsearch_prepare() calls request_module("ts_%s", algo); vsnprintf() walks %s until it finds a NUL, so an algo[] with no NUL reads past the array into the adjacent struct fields and payload and feeds those bytes to the usermode helper command line. This is an out-of-bounds read and a kernel memory disclosure. Reject the attribute when no NUL exists within TC_EM_TEXT_ALGOSIZ bytes, matching the check xt_string has had since 3ab720881b6e. Conditions to recreate the bug: - CAP_NET_ADMIN on the target netns (namespace-local via unshare -Urn is enough) - install clsact on an interface, then add a basic filter wit

  • Oct 22, 2026A numeric-type conversion flaw in the BSON handling library of the MongoDB C# Driver allows an out-of-range binary subtype value supplied through untrusted textCVE-2026-114654 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comMedium 6.9

A numeric-type conversion flaw in the BSON handling library of the MongoDB C# Driver allows an out-of-range binary subtype value supplied through untrusted textual input to bypass the library's binary-element integrity checks. When such a value is later encoded, it is narrowed to a smaller wire representation, producing binary elements that misdeclare their type or length. An unauthenticated party able to supply text parsed by an affected application can cause it to emit and persist malformed binary data, which subsequent readers either reject with an error or silently interpret as shorter than the data that was validated.

D365 F&O MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol server for querying Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations X++ code and metadata. Prior to version 1.11.0, the officially documented Azure one-click deployment uses infrastructure/azuredeploy.json and infrastructure/main.bicep to default the apiKey parameter to an empty string and pass it to the App Service API_KEY setting. With API_KEY unset or empty, src/middleware/apiKeyAuth.ts passes requests through without authentication, while src/index.ts binds the HTTP listener to 0.0.0.0 by default. If the deployer leaves the optional key blank and does not add separate network restrictions or upstream authentication, the resulting public App Service allows unauthenticated JSON-RPC tools/call requests to /mcp. The deployment's MCP_SERVER_MODE=read-only setting does not prevent anonymous access to read/search tools, including search, get_object_info, batch_get_info, extension_info, security_info, find_references, and find_event_handlers, exposing indexed proprietary X++ source snippets and metadata. Any authenticated database role can run this function without a GRANT. It also gets around the superuser restriction that PostgreSQL places on the underlying pg_log_backend_memory_contexts() function. A low-privileged user can force the segment backends of any other session, superuser sessions included, to write their memory context details to the segment server logs, which the attacker cannot read. Those details can include query text from other users' cached plans, and the call can be repeated to generate large amounts of log output. WarehousePG 6.x is not affected.

IBM ContextForge MCP Gateway 0.1.0 through 1.0.5 is vulnerable to a server-side request Forgery (SSRF) that allows authenticated users with gateway creation privileges to perform arbitrary HTTP POST requests to internal network resources and cloud metadata endpoints. The vulnerability occurs during OAuth-enabled gateway registration when the system fails to validate the oauth_config.token_url parameter. When registering a gateway with OAuth client credentials authentication, an attacker can supply a malicious token_url pointing to internal services, cloud metadata endpoints (AWS IMDSv1, GCP, Azure), or localhost-bound services. The application immediately performs an HTTP POST request to the attacker-controlled URL with form-encoded credentials in the body. If the response cannot be parsed as a valid OAuth token response, up to 256 characters of the response body are reflected back to the attacker in the HTTP 502 error message. This vulnerability bypasses existing SSRF protections that are applied to the gateway.url field but not to OAuth configuration parameters.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Require kernel access for text poke events Perf events with exclude_kernel=1 can be opened without kernel perf access. However, exclude_kernel does not suppress text-poke sideband records. Every PERF_RECORD_TEXT_POKE is marked PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL and contains a raw kernel instruction address. An unprivileged task can therefore open and mmap a task-local software event with text_poke=1. Both opening a count-only tracepoint event and configuring UDP GRO for ESP-in-UDP cause updates to inline static calls; the observer receives the relocated addresses of the modified instructions. For a known kernel image, any such address reveals the runtime kernel text base despite KASLR. Call perf_allow_kernel() whenever attr.text_poke is set, regardless of exclude_kernel. Events that neither monitor kernel execution nor request text-poke records retain their existing permissions.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix bpf_sock context code generation Currently, the ctx access code reads the rx_queue_mapping field with either a 4-byte or 2-byte load. The rest of the bits in the register are marked known zero by the verifier. However, the emitted ctx access code places in the register on certain the special value (-1) using BPF_MOV_IMM64, which gets sign-extended to turn on all the bits in the register. By shifting this value right, the program ends up with a value at runtime above what the verifier assumes is possible. Fix this by ensuring the read value is as wide as the assumed size. Use MOV32 instructions instead of MOV64 instructions to keep the upper bits zero as assumed by the verifier. Also properly report the size of the destination variable (the bpf_sock field, 4 bytes) instead of the source (the socket field, 2 bytes).

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: fix create context out-of-bounds reads smb2_parse_contexts() validates the complete create-context area but does not limit each record to its Next field before dispatching it. A malformed chain can therefore expose bytes beyond the current context to a handler. The QFid handler also used a full response-structure cast although it only reads DiskFileId. The SMB2/SMB3 lease parsers made the same layout assumption: they read LeaseState and LeaseFlags at canonical offsets rather than at DataOffset. A valid non-canonical DataOffset could therefore yield unrelated in-bounds data, while a short DataLength was still accepted. Limit each context to its Next value, reject offsets before the context header, and reject malformed chains. Bound the name range by the current context and do not dispatch a known handler when DataLength is zero. Read the QFid DiskFileId only when the context data covers that field. Parse the lease context from DataOffset and require DataLength to match the v1 or v2 lease_context size used by ksmbd. A size mismatch skips lease parsing without failing the open.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl return a 0xFF byte that is not in the input for an empty last field followed by a lone CR in parse. When the input to parse ends in a separator and a lone CR, the parser treats the end of the input as the next character and stores the end-of-file marker in the field as the byte 0xFF. With binary set, parse("a,\r") returns the fields "a" and "\xFF". On UTF-8 flagged input the last field is a UTF-8 flagged string holding that lone byte, which is malformed UTF-8. The same input with a non-empty last field is rejected as an error. A CRLF file read line by line and chomped ends this way when its last column is empty, so the application receives a byte that is not in its input.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl read before the start of an all-blank field under allow_whitespace in strip_trail_whitespace. Under allow_whitespace, strip_trail_whitespace removes trailing spaces and tabs from each unquoted field without stopping at the start of the field. For a field of only blanks it reads the byte before the field's heap buffer. If that byte is also a space or tab, it may be zeroed and the walk continue backwards, depending on what the allocator placed there. Leading blanks are normally skipped before a field is stored, but an all-blank field still arrives after a leading escape_char that differs from quote_char, or as a quoted field in getline when its line ends in two CRs.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow record splitting by writing strings used as numbers without quotes in combine. combine and print do not check whether a field needs quotes when its value has Perl's integer or numeric flag set. Perl sets these flags on a string used in a numeric operation when it parses as a number, which allows leading and trailing whitespace. With binary set, as csv does by default, "12\n" passes a check such as $qty > 0 and is then written unquoted with its newline. A value validated as a number can end the record early and turn the fields after it into a separate row.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl drop the end of a record and its line ending when a UTF-8 flagged field precedes invalid UTF-8 bytes in print. When a record contains a UTF-8 flagged field, print holds back trailing bytes that are not valid UTF-8 at each buffer flush, so that a character split across two flushes can be completed. Nothing writes the held-back bytes after the record's final flush. A record whose last field ends in such a byte loses it, any closing quote and the line ending, while print still returns true. combine is not affected. The next record is written onto the same line, or, when the last field was quoted, the missing closing quote makes a reader take every following record as part of that field.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow quadratic CPU use by copying the unparsed remainder per record of CR-only input in getline. With eol unset, the default, getline reads with Perl's default line separator, so input with CR-only line endings arrives as one chunk. After each record the parser copies the whole unparsed remainder into a new buffer, which the next call parses and copies again, so the work grows with the square of the input size. A reader with default options that is sent CSV with classic Mac line endings spends seconds of CPU time on a megabyte of input.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl leak the parsed fields of a record that fails to parse in getline. getline collects the fields of a record into a new array and returns a reference to it only when the parse succeeds. When the record has a syntax error, getline returns undef and never frees the array or the fields parsed before the error. A long-running process parsing untrusted CSV retains every malformed record it is sent, so repeated malformed input exhausts its memory.

Text::CSV_XS versions from 1.46 before 1.65 for Perl have a use-after-free of bind_columns variables when skip_empty_rows skips an empty line in getline. With bind_columns, the parser writes each field into the caller's own scalar without taking a reference to it. When skip_empty_rows skips an empty last line, the parser frees the current field scalar without checking whether it is bound, dropping one reference from the application's variable. The "eof" mode does the same on any empty line. The variable is then freed while the application still references it, so later code uses freed memory and can crash the process.

Text::CSV_XS versions before 1.65 for Perl allow memory exhaustion by allocating one entry per index of an RFC 7111 selector in fragment. fragment expands a row= or col= selector into an array with one element per selected index before it reads any data, and it does not clamp an explicit end column in a cell= selector to the row. Only the syntax and order of the ranges are checked, so row=1-400000000 on a two-line file allocates 400 million elements.
