  • Sep 28, 2023A flaw was found in the Netfilter subsystem of the Linux kernel.CVE-2023-42756 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 4.4

A flaw was found in the Netfilter subsystem of the Linux kernel. A race condition between IPSET_CMD_ADD and IPSET_CMD_SWAP can lead to a kernel panic due to the invocation of `__ip_set_put` on a wrong `set`. This issue may allow a local user to crash the system.

  • Aug 25, 2023A flaw was found in the Keylime registrar that could allow a bypass of the challenge-response protocol during agent registration.CVE-2023-38201 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.5

A flaw was found in the Keylime registrar that could allow a bypass of the challenge-response protocol during agent registration. • Aug 9, 2023A flaw was found in the exFAT driver of the Linux kernel.CVE-2023-4273 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6

A flaw was found in the exFAT driver of the Linux kernel. The vulnerability exists in the implementation of the file name reconstruction function, which is responsible for reading file name entries from a directory index and merging file name parts belonging to one file into a single long file name. Since the file name characters are copied into a stack variable, a local privileged attacker could use this flaw to overflow the kernel stack.

  • Aug 7, 2023A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's TUN/TAP functionality.CVE-2023-4194 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's TUN/TAP functionality. This issue could allow a local user to bypass network filters and gain unauthorized access to some resources. The original patches fixing CVE-2023-1076 are incorrect or incomplete. The problem is that the following upstream commits - a096ccca6e50 ("tun: tun_chr_open(): correctly initialize socket uid"), - 66b2c338adce ("tap: tap_open(): correctly initialize socket uid"), pass "inode->i_uid" to sock_init_data_uid() as the last parameter and that turns out to not be accurate.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
