  • Aug 28, 2026CVE-2025-40843 https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-5xf2-f6ch-6p8r  was fixed by replacing unchecked strcpy() with a bounded safe_strcpy() helper.CVE-2026-58106 · Other software · Ericsson · reported by 85b1779b-6ecd-4f52-bcc5-73eac4659dcfLow 2

CVE-2025-40843 https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-5xf2-f6ch-6p8r  was fixed by replacing unchecked strcpy() with a bounded safe_strcpy() helper. At ldlogger-tool-gcc.c:129 the destination passed to that helper is fullPath + 2, but the size passed down is the full PATH_MAX. safe_strcpy() is strncpy(), which NUL-pads the destination out to the whole n, so this site writes 4096 bytes into the 4094 that remain — a 2-byte stack overflow on every invocation, independent of the input path's length. This issue affects CodeChecker: through 6.28.2.

  • Aug 25, 2026GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub's official command line tool.CVE-2026-72924 · Other software · cli · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub's official command line tool. Versions 2.28.0 through 2.97.0 bind the local listener created by gh codespace ports forward to all available network interfaces by default. While port forwarding is active, a service in a Codespace can therefore become reachable through the user's non-loopback local IP addresses by other hosts that can route to the user's machine. This behavior does not change the GitHub-side visibility of the Codespaces port. Instead, it exposes the forwarded service through a wildcard-bound listener on the user's local machine, even when the source Codespaces port remains private. Exploitation requires a network-adjacent attacker to reach the victim's machine while forwarding is active. This issue is fixed in version 2.98.0.

  • Aug 25, 2026github.com/graphql-go/graphql (GraphQL for Go) through 0.8.1 does not validate that a scalar variable value matches its declared type.CVE-2026-80051 · Other software · graphql-go project · reported by MITREMedium 5.9

github.com/graphql-go/graphql (GraphQL for Go) through 0.8.1 does not validate that a scalar variable value matches its declared type. The built-in coerceString and coerceBool functions (scalars.go) accept input whose type does not match the declared String, ID, or Boolean scalar instead of raising the request error that the GraphQL specification mandates. In some cases (but not any typical case of JSON sent to a website), a deeply nested value leads to an unrecoverable "fatal error: stack overflow" condition.

  • Aug 20, 2026The github-issue-bot templates in appwrite/templates verify the GitHub webhook signature with an inverted condition.CVE-2026-72861 · Other software · appwrite · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.9

The github-issue-bot templates in appwrite/templates verify the GitHub webhook signature with an inverted condition. verifyWebhook in node/github-issue-bot/src/github.js and in node-typescript/github-issue-bot/src/github.ts returns "typeof signature !== 'string' || (await verify(...))", so when the X-Hub-Signature-256 header is absent the first operand is true, the logical OR short-circuits, and the function reports success without performing any HMAC verification. main.js rejects a request only when verifyWebhook returns false, so an unauthenticated request carrying no signature passes the check. Processing then continues to postComment, which takes the repository and issue objects directly from the request body, letting the caller direct the deployed function to post a comment on a repository and issue of their choosing using the configured GITHUB_TOKEN, with the issue author login from the body interpolated into the comment text.

  • Aug 19, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-69222 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

LiquidJS is a Shopify / GitHub Pages compatible template engine in pure JavaScript. Prior to 10.27.2, the join filter in src/filters/array.ts computes complexity from array.length and separator length instead of the total string length produced by array.join(sep). The concat filter can cheaply double arrays of references, after which join materializes the referenced content while charging only for element count, allowing a template to exceed a configured memoryLimit by a large factor. The sibling array_to_sentence_string filter in src/filters/string.ts has the same accounting defect, and a crafted template can allocate toward V8's string or process memory limit and crash the process. This issue is fixed in version 10.27.2.

From 10.26.0 until 10.27.1, the strip_html filter in src/filters/html.ts can enter an infinite loop when an input string contains <, includes at least one preceding character, and has no later >. In strip_html, the search for the next opener advances lt while the loop index remains unchanged when the closer search returns -1, and the equality-only stall guard does not exit because the loop index is less than lt. • Aug 6, 2026GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub’s official command line tool.CVE-2026-64655 · Other software · cli · reported by GitHubLow 2.1

GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub’s official command line tool. Prior to 2.97.0, gh attestation verify  builds the certificate Subject Alternative Name matcher from the --signer-repo and --signer-workflow  flag values without escaping regex metacharacters, so a user-supplied repository or workflow name is treated as a regular expression rather than a literal string. Because GitHub permits characters such as  `.`  in organization, repository, and workflow path names and  `.`  is a regex wildcard, an attacker can register a lookalike name (for example github/artifact.attestations-workflows) that satisfies a matcher intended for a different trusted signer (github/artifact-attestations-workflows), bypassing the intended Sigstore attestation verification. Exploitation requires the attacker to create a plausible lookalike repository and produce valid attestations from it, which could undermine supply chain verification for CI/CD pipelines or policy gates that pin trust to a specific signing workflow. This issue is fixed in version 2.97.0.

GitHub CLI (gh) is GitHub's official command line tool. Prior to version 2.97.0, multiple GitHub CLI commands printed externally controlled gist, API, pull request, release, codespace, skill, or agent-task content without neutralizing terminal escape sequences. An attacker who can influence that content can embed escape sequences that are interpreted by the terminal of a user who runs an affected command, with impact ranging from cosmetic manipulation of the title or on-screen content to, on some terminal emulators, command execution. This extends the same class of issue as CVE-2026-45803—which addressed only gh run view --log—to the other affected command paths. This issue is fixed in version 2.97.0.

As a result, part of an affected token could appear in terminal or CI output that is captured or shared. Authenticated users are affected if they ran gh auth status (without the --show-token flag) with a token type whose format contains an underscore after the prefix. This includes fine-grained personal access tokens (github_pat_*) and GitHub App installation and user access tokens (ghs_*, ghu_*; for example, ghs_<APPID>_<JWT>), as well as the Actions GITHUB_TOKEN. A denial of service vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to cause excessive CPU consumption and exhaust the pool of request-handling worker processes by sending a crafted form-encoded HTTP POST request containing deeply nested parameters. Because request parameters were parsed before routing and authentication, any POST endpoint could be used to trigger the condition, which could render the instance unresponsive. A path traversal vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an unauthenticated attacker to delete arbitrary files and directories on the instance, including the entire user storage directory containing Git LFS objects, release assets, attachments, and avatars. The X-GitHub-Request-Id request header was used without sanitization as a filesystem path segment for the upload buffer directory, so a traversal value pointed the buffer at an arbitrary path and the deferred cleanup routine recursively removed the traversed target. Exploitation required only network reachability to the instance and no authentication, and it worked even when private mode was enabled. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.4, 3.20.6, 3.19.10, 3.18.13 and 3.17.19. GitHub MCP Server is GitHub's official MCP Server. • Jul 23, 2026cal.com (calcom repository, later renamed cal.diy) is affected by a repository takeover vulnerability in its GitHub Actions workflows.CVE-2024-58354 · Other software · calcom · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.5

cal.com (calcom repository, later renamed cal.diy) is affected by a repository takeover vulnerability in its GitHub Actions workflows. The workflow pr.yml uses the pull_request_target trigger with the repository's default write permissions and passes them down to check-types.yml. check-types.yml then performs a 'dangerous' checkout of the attacker-submitted pull request code (via the dangerous-git-checkout action) and subsequently executes it (through yarn install and package.json scripts). An attacker can open a pull request whose code runs arbitrary commands with the repository's write-scoped GITHUB_TOKEN, allowing them to push commits, merge or mutate pull requests, add or delete comments, and delete or force-push branches, thereby compromising the repository. The main branch is affected; no patched version is available.

When untrusted input reaches SecureHeaders.override_content_security_policy_directives or append APIs for :sandbox, :plugin_types, or :report_to, an attacker can inject a CSP directive such as script-src 'unsafe-inline' * before the legitimate script-src, enabling XSS reachability through these sinks or CSP report exfiltration. An incorrect authorization vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed a user-to-server token scoped to a GitHub App installation to perform certain write operations on public repositories outside the token's intended scope. This was possible because the authorization check only verified that the installation had read permissions on the target repository rather than verifying that the token's installation was explicitly granted access to that repository. An attacker who obtained a victim's user-to-server token could create issues, issue comments, commit comments, and private vulnerability reports on any public repository, appearing as the victim user with no indication of the app involvement. This vulnerability was fixed by adding a repository scope check for user-to-server tokens issued by global apps. This vulnerability affected all versions of GitHub Enterprise Server prior to 3.22 and was fixed in versions 3.21.2, 3.20.4, 3.19.8, 3.18.11, 3.17.17, 3.16.20. This vulnerability was reported via the GitHub Bug Bounty program.

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability was identified in GitHub Enterprise Server that allowed an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in another user's browser by injecting a crafted payload into the title of a Discussion in the Q&A category. The AnsweredQuestionStructuredDataComponent did not escape user-controlled Discussion titles before embedding them in a <script type="application/ld+json"> block, allowing the title to break out of the script context. The injection was escalated to a full cross-site scripting attack on GitHub Enterprise Server by leveraging JSONP callback support in the REST API to bypass the Content Security Policy. GitHub MCP Server is GitHub's official MCP Server. From 0.22.0 until 1.1.2, when running in HTTP mode with --lockdown-mode enabled, the RepoAccessCache is implemented as a process-global singleton initialized with the first authenticated user's GraphQL client. All subsequent requests from different users share this singleton and their lockdown-related GraphQL queries are executed using the first user's credentials. The singleton is never updated to reflect later users' tokens. This vulnerability is fixed in 1.1.2.

  • Jun 19, 2026A flaw was found in the AWX GitHub webhook integration.CVE-2026-12726 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 6.3

A flaw was found in the AWX GitHub webhook integration. When processing GitHub pull_request webhooks, the controller stores the pull_request.statuses_url value from the webhook payload without validating that it points to a trusted GitHub API endpoint. If a job template is configured with a GitHub Personal Access Token as its webhook credential, the controller later POSTs that token to the stored callback URL when posting job status updates. An attacker who can submit a correctly signed forged webhook using the job template's webhook_key can redirect the callback to an attacker-controlled URL and exfiltrate the configured GitHub PAT.

  • Jun 17, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-45617 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. In versions 10.25.7 and below, the built-in strip_html filter uses a regex containing four flawed lazy-quantified alternatives, leading to ReDoS via quadratic backtracking. When the input contains many <script, <style, or <!-- opener tokens without matching closers, the V8 regex engine performs O(N²) backtracking, blocking the Node.js event loop. A single ~350 KB request ('<script'.repeat(50000)) stalls the process for ~10 seconds; cost grows quadratically with input size. The default memoryLimit: Infinity does not bound regex CPU, and even when configured strip_html only charges str.length to the limit — the regex itself runs unbounded. A single unauthenticated request containing crafted untrusted input can cause severe event-loop blocking and CPU amplification that saturates Node.js workers while bypassing memoryLimit protections. This issue has been fixed in version 10.26.0.

  • Jun 17, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-45357 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. In versions 10.25.7 and below, the date filter's strftime implementation parses width specifiers like %9999999d and forwards the captured width unchecked into pad()/padStart(), leading to memory and render limit bypass. In src/util/underscore.ts, the pad loop performs unbounded string concatenation without consulting the Context's memoryLimit or renderLimit, so a single small template ({{ x | date: '%5000000d' }}) produces megabytes of output and unbounded CPU. The memoryLimit and renderLimit options the docs (src/liquid-options.ts:87-92) advertise as DoS controls — and which the docstring explicitly mentions for strftime — are entirely bypassed. Exploitation can cause large memory allocations, high CPU usage, or OOM crashes per render. This issue has been fixed in version 10.26.0.

  • Jun 17, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-44646 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. In versions 10.25.7 and below, Context.spawn() creates a child Context for the {% render %} tag but does not propagate the parent context's resolved ownPropertyOnly value, resulting in a silent bypass. The new context re-derives ownPropertyOnly from opts.ownPropertyOnly (the instance-level option), silently discarding any RenderOptions.ownPropertyOnly override that was supplied to parseAndRender(). As a result, a developer who runs a Liquid instance with the backwards-compatible ownPropertyOnly:false and then locks down an untrusted render with parseAndRender(..., { ownPropertyOnly: true }) still leaks prototype-chain properties from inside any {% render %} partial. This is a distinct exploit surface from the previously identified array-filter variants (where, reject, group_by, find, find_index, has) — the underlying root cause in Context.spawn() is shared, but {% render %} is a separately reachable sink that needs no filter usage. This issue has been fixed in version 10.26.0.

  • Jun 17, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-44645 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubMedium 6.5

LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. In versions 10.25.7 and below, the renderLimit option can be fully bypassed by a {% for %} (or {% tablerow %}) tag whose body is empty. The renderLimit option is documented in docs/source/tutorials/dos.md as the mechanism that "mitigates this by limiting the time consumed by each render() call." The per-iteration time check is reached only when the body contains at least one template node, so a template such as {%- for i in (1..N) -%}{%- endfor -%} iterates the full collection without ever consulting renderLimit. With a configured renderLimit of 50 ms, a single parseAndRenderSync call has been observed to consume 2.26 seconds (~45× over the limit) and scales linearly with N up to memoryLimit, allowing a low-privileged template author to wedge an event-loop thread for an attacker-chosen duration. Deployments that rely on a finite renderLimit for DoS protection (common in multi-tenant template-authoring environments) can still be forced by a single crafted template to monopolize a Node.js event-loop worker for attacker-controlled time, potentially stalling in-flight requests, with availability i

  • Jun 17, 2026LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript.CVE-2026-44644 · Other software · harttle · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

LiquidJS is a Shopify/GitHub Pages compatible template engine written in pure JavaScript. Versions 10.25.7 and below are vulnerable to XSS through a flaw in the strip_html filter logic. The strip_html filter is intended to remove HTML tags from a string before rendering, and is widely used as an XSS sanitizer. The implementation uses a regex whose catch-all branch (<.*?>) does not match line terminators, so any HTML tag containing a \n or \r character passes through unmodified. An attacker who can place a newline inside a tag (e.g. <img\nsrc=x\nonerror=alert(1)>) bypasses sanitization entirely, since browsers treat newlines as whitespace within a tag and execute the resulting onerror/onload/etc. handler. Exploitation is possible for applications that both render attacker-controlled strings via {{ x | strip_html }} to defend against HTML injection and do not separately HTML-escape that output (default behavior — outputEscape is unset by default). This issue has been fixed in version 10.26.0.
