In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firmware: arm_scmi: Validate BASE_ERROR_EVENT payload size BASE_ERROR_EVENT carries a variable number of message reports, with the count encoded in error_status. The notification parser used that count without checking whether the received payload contained all reported entries. Reject truncated payloads before copying the report array.

A flaw in the cross-site request forgery (CSRF) prevention of KNIME Business Hub prior to version 1.19.0 allows an authenticated attacker to perform a CSRF attack with passive user interaction. This means the state of a resource could be changed without the user noticing. As a workaround, an API gateway for firewall in front of KNIME Business Hub could remove the X-Forwaded-For header from all incoming requests.

  • Oct 21, 2026Slack Morphism is a client library for Slack Web/Events API/Socket Mode and Block Kit.CVE-2026-113799 · Other software · abdolence · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

Slack Morphism is a client library for Slack Web/Events API/Socket Mode and Block Kit. Versions 1.0.0 through 2.27.0 expose the correct Slack request HMAC when signature verification fails. For an invalid request, `slack-morphism` computes the correct signature for the attacker-controlled timestamp and request body and stores it in `SlackEventWrongSignatureError.generated_hash`. The error's `Debug` and `Display` representations expose that value, and the default Axum listener error handler logs it at error level. An attacker who can both reach the application's Slack callback endpoint and read its application/service logs can therefore use the verifier as a chosen-message HMAC oracle. The attacker can send an arbitrary request with an invalid signature, recover the correct signature from the resulting log entry, and resend the same request within the five-minute freshness window. The second request passes Slack Morphism's signature verification and reaches the protected application callback without the attacker knowing the Slack signing secret. Version 2.28.0 patches the issue.

  • Oct 19, 2026MISP contains a CSS injection vulnerability in the remote event preview feature.CVE-2026-112183 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 4.8

MISP contains a CSS injection vulnerability in the remote event preview feature. When a user previews an event from a linked MISP server, the colour value associated with each remote tag is written directly into an inline CSS style attribute without sufficient validation. Although HTML entity encoding is applied, the value is interpreted as CSS within the style attribute, allowing a malicious or compromised linked server to inject arbitrary CSS declarations. An attacker with the ability to create or modify tags on a linked MISP instance can craft a tag colour value containing CSS injection payloads. When a user on the local instance views the event preview, the injected CSS is rendered, potentially allowing UI manipulation, visual spoofing, or limited information disclosure through CSS-based techniques. Preconditions: - A linked MISP server relationship exists between the victim instance and the attacker-controlled instance. - The attacker can create or modify tags on the linked server. - A victim user views the remote event preview page. Affected: <2.5.48.

MISP contains a data integrity flaw in its event deletion logic. When a user deletes an event, several associated records are not removed from the database, leaving them as orphaned entries. The affected record types include event report tags, event graph entries, proposal (shadow attribute) correlations, fuzzy ssdeep correlation chunks, and attachment scan results. These orphaned records may contain sensitive threat intelligence data such as correlation mappings, scan results, and report metadata that should have been removed along with the parent event. Their persistence beyond the intended deletion lifecycle creates a risk of unintended data retention and potential information exposure if the records are reachable through other application queries or administrative interfaces. Preconditions: - An authenticated user with sufficient privileges to delete events in MISP. - The event must have associated reports, graphs, correlations, ssdeep chunks, or attachment scan results. Impact: - Residual sensitive data persists in the database after the parent event is deleted. - Accumulation of orphaned records over time may contribute to storage bloat. - Orphaned records may be inad

  • Oct 19, 2026In MISP, the event synchronization process contained a logic error in the preparation of event reports for remote push.CVE-2026-112179 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

In MISP, the event synchronization process contained a logic error in the preparation of event reports for remote push. The filtering of non-exportable tags was applied only once after the iteration over all reports, rather than to each individual report. As a result: - All reports except the last one in the set were pushed to the remote MISP instance with their non-exportable tags intact, effectively disclosing restricted tag information to the receiving instance. - When the last report in the set was withheld (empty), a null report was pushed, causing the remote instance to fail saving the event. This issue affects any MISP instance configured to push events with multiple reports to a remote server via synchronization. Affected: <2.5.48.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/packet: prevent TX_RING byte count overflow tpacket_snd() drains every SEND_REQUEST frCVE-2026-98850 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/packet: prevent TX_RING byte count overflow tpacket_snd() drains every SEND_REQUEST frame in a TX ring and adds each valid packet length to the signed int len_sum. Userspace can recycle completed frames concurrently, so a single blocking send call is not bounded by the ring size. After enough successful transmissions len_sum wraps into the negative range. In particular, 65536 65535-byte frames followed by a 65007-byte frame produce 0xfffffdef, or -EIOCBQUEUED. sock_sendmsg_nosec() treats that as an impossible return and triggers a BUG. On systems configured to panic on oops, a CAP_NET_RAW holder can panic the host kernel. Stop before the next frame would make the byte count exceed INT_MAX. The positive short count leaves that frame pending for a later send call. A two-thread TPACKET_V2 reproducer triggered the BUG on an arm64 build of Linux 7.3-rc4. With this change, the same reproducer returned the expected positive short count without an oops.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: prevent AP VLAN tx from other interfaces Since the station lookup was factored out of ieee80211_build_hdr(), ieee80211_lookup_ra_sta() uses sta_info_get_bss() for all AP and AP VLAN frames, not only for control port frames. A unicast frame sent on one interface thus matches a station of a different VLAN of the same BSS and is transmitted to it. Only match stations of the interface the frame is sent on, except for control port frames, since those may be sent for VLAN stations directly on the BSS interface.

  • Oct 18, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Fix slab-out-of-bounds when handling team device events The mlx5_handle_changeupCVE-2026-98807 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/mlx5: Fix slab-out-of-bounds when handling team device events The mlx5_handle_changeupper_event() and mlx5_handle_changeinfodata_event() functions check for LAG masters (which includes both bonding and team devices) but only call bonding-specific APIs. When processing team device events, calling bond_slave_get_rcu() and bond_is_slave_inactive() on team_port structures causes KASAN to detect an out-of-bounds memory access since team_port is smaller than bond slave. Fix this by wrapping the bond-specific API calls with a check for bonding devices. This allows the function to still process LAG events for both bonding and teams but only calls bond-specific functions when dealing with actual bonding devices. For mlx5_handle_changeinfodata_event(), keep the explicit bond check as mlx5 doesn't handle state information for team ports anyway. Tested with Mellanox ConnectX-5 on Linux 7.2.0-rc6: - Bonding: PASS (no regressions) - Team device: PASS (no KASAN errors)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: prevent GCM nonce reuse on peer key changes TIPC can encrypt traffic between nodes using a different transmit key for each node. In this mode, the AES-GCM nonce for a packet sent to a known peer consists of a 32-bit prefix (a per-key salt XOR the peer's address) followed by a 64-bit counter. That counter is stored in the peer's RX crypto object. When the peer reports a change in which key it uses to receive packets, TIPC resets this counter. The sender can still be using the same TX key and salt, so subsequent packets reuse earlier nonces. This nonce reuse breaks confidentiality and exposes GCM's authentication key. This makes forgeries trivial: an attacker can exploit CTR malleability to alter captured ciphertexts and use the recovered authentication key to compute a valid tag for the modified ciphertext, under the same key and nonce. Use the TX key's existing aead->seqno counter instead. All encryptions using that key object share the same atomic counter, so concurrent encryptions get distinct nonce counter values. The counter survives key activation and peer reconnection, and peer key-status reports can

During begin_new_exec(), perf_event_exit_task() may be called, and the PF_EXITING flag is not set on task. So perf_sigtrap() continues to execute and triggers WARN_ON_ONCE(event->ctx->task != current). Since both task exit and exec paths can call perf_event_exit_task() which sets ctx->task to TASK_TOMBSTONE, fix this by explicitly checking if event->ctx->task equals TASK_TOMBSTONE and dropping the redundant PF_EXITING check.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf: Require kernel access for text poke events Perf events with exclude_kernel=1 can be opened without kernel perf access. However, exclude_kernel does not suppress text-poke sideband records. Every PERF_RECORD_TEXT_POKE is marked PERF_RECORD_MISC_KERNEL and contains a raw kernel instruction address. An unprivileged task can therefore open and mmap a task-local software event with text_poke=1. Both opening a count-only tracepoint event and configuring UDP GRO for ESP-in-UDP cause updates to inline static calls; the observer receives the relocated addresses of the modified instructions. For a known kernel image, any such address reveals the runtime kernel text base despite KASLR. Call perf_allow_kernel() whenever attr.text_poke is set, regardless of exclude_kernel. Events that neither monitor kernel execution nor request text-poke records retain their existing permissions.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv6: Prevent rt6_insert_exception() for dying fib6_info. Before the cited commit, fib6_nh_flush_exceptions() always set from->exception_bucket_flushed = 1 under rt6_exception_lock to prevent rt6_insert_exception() from inserting a new exception for a dying fib6_info. The flag was replaced with the FIB6_EXCEPTION_BUCKET_FLUSHED bit stored in nh->rt6i_exception_bucket. The problem is that now the bit is only set when the bucket is not NULL and fib6_nh_flush_exceptions() is called from fib6_nh_release() after fib6_ref has already reached zero. If rt6_insert_exception() is called while the target fib6_info is being removed via fib6_purge_rt(), a new exception could be created successfully because rt6_flush_exceptions() no longer sets the bit. This creates a reference cycle between the fib6_info and the exception route, leaking the fib6_info, its nexthop device, and all per-CPU routes in fib6_nh->rt6i_pcpu, which stalls netdev unregistration. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tipc: reject invalid and unexpected GRP_ACK_MSG to prevent bc_ackers underflow Commit 48a5fe38772b ("tipc: fix bc_ackers underflow on duplicate GRP_ACK_MSG") rejected duplicate/stale ACKs in tipc_group_proto_rcv() by returning early when less_eq(acked, m->bc_acked). However, that check remains incomplete in two ways: 1. When grp->bc_ackers is zero (e.g. on a quiet group, when replicast ACKs were not requested, or after all expected members have already acknowledged), an unexpected GRP_ACK_MSG with acked > m->bc_acked passes less_eq() and unconditionally decrements grp->bc_ackers. Because bc_ackers is a u16, this wraps to 65535, causing tipc_group_bc_cong() to permanently report congestion and blocking all future group broadcasts on the socket. 2. During an active broadcast round (grp->bc_ackers > 0), the sender transmits packet S and advances grp->bc_snd_nxt to S + 1. Receivers increment their expected counter to S + 1 upon consuming packet S, so the only valid ACK value for the current round is strictly acked == grp->bc_snd_nxt. However, tipc_group_update_bc_members() initial

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: prevent collapsing skbs across boundary in rtx queue tcp_write_collapse_fence() sets TCP_SKB_CB(skb)->eor = 1 on tcp_write_queue_tail(sk) to prevent skbs queued after a switch to device encryption from being collapsed into earlier skbs. The fence is a no-op if all earlier data has already been transmitted when the switch happens: sk->sk_write_queue is empty. The not yet acknowledged earlier skbs wait in sk->tcp_rtx_queue with eor 0. On a subsequent retransmit or SACK shift, tcp_retrans_try_collapse() or tcp_shift_skb_data() can then merge an skb queued after the switch into one queued before it. Both users of the fence are affected: - psp: devices only encrypt skbs with skb->decrypted set. The merged skb keeps decrypted = 0 from the earlier skb, so merged data sent after psp_sock_assoc_set_tx() is retransmitted in cleartext. - tls device offload: the merged skb straddles the start marker set in tls_set_device_offload(). The software fallback (fill_sg_in() returns -EINVAL) and the mlx5, nfp and funeth drivers cannot handle such an skb and drop it. Every retransmit rebuilds the same skb, so the

Deleting iocpf_timer last does not fix this. sem_timer and iocpf_timer rearm each other: bnad_iocpf_sem_timeout() can arm iocpf_timer, and bnad_iocpf_timeout() arms sem_timer from bfa_ioc_hw_sem_get() when the semaphore is busy. timer_delete_sync() only waits out its own callback. bnad_ioceth_disable() can time out and leave that callback live. Shut all four IOC timers down with timer_shutdown_sync() on both paths, so a later mod_timer() is ignored. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/virtio: fix memory leak of fence event on execbuffer failure virtio_gpu_execbuffer_ioctl() reserves a DRM event with drm_event_reserve_init() when VIRTGPU_EXECBUF_RING_IDX selects a ring that userspace has enabled polling for. virtio_gpu_init_submit() does this before the BO handles, the command buffer, the syncobj arrays and the in-fence are processed, so every later error path runs with the event already pending, including plain argument validation failures such as an invalid bo_handle or an in-syncobj that carries no fence. On those paths, virtio_gpu_cleanup_submit() drops the out-fence without cancelling the event. The fence is freed without ever having been emitted, taking the only driver-side pointer to the event with it. Closing the DRM file does not help. drm_events_release() unlinks pending events but deliberately leaves the freeing to the driver's later drm_send_event(), which never runs for an orphaned event, so the allocation is leaked permanently. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: hci_sock: validate event length before filtering is_filtered_packet() reads the event code from skb->data[0] without first checking that the skb is nonempty. When an opcode filter is configured, it also reads the command opcode at offsets 3 or 4 without checking that a Command Complete or Command Status event is long enough. hci_send_to_sock() invokes the filter before hci_event_packet() validates the event header. A malformed event supplied by a controller or a vhci device can therefore cause an out-of-bounds read. Keep the unmasked event code for the opcode checks. The masked value is needed for the 64-bit event bitmap, but using it to identify command events aliases event codes above 0x3f. In particular, Synchronous Train Complete (0x4f) was treated as Command Status (0x0f) even though its payload has no opcode. Reject actual command events that are too short for the field being inspected. A truncated command event cannot match a configured opcode.
