A repository's external issue tracker regular expression containing alternating capture groups could produce invalid slice indexes when Gitea rendered issue references, causing a runtime panic that terminated the Gitea process. A user who can edit a repository's external issue tracker settings could make any later rendering of matching content, such as viewing a README, crash the instance for all users.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: clk: scpi: bound-check DVFS index in scpi_dvfs_recalc_rate dvfs_get_idx() may return an out-of-range index if the SCP firmware is buggy or returns a stale value. Only negative indexes were rejected, so a large index walked past info->opps and could treat garbage as a clock rate (KASAN OOB / wrong frequency to consumers). The missing upper bound dates back to the original SCPI clock driver. Treat indexes >= opp count as invalid and return 0, same as idx < 0.

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Unify scc_index when finalising SCC in __unix_walk_scc().CVE-2026-98289 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Unify scc_index when finalising SCC in __unix_walk_scc(). Commit bfdb01283ee8 ("af_unix: Assign a unique index to SCC.") changed Tarjan's algorithm to update lowlink with lowlink, which is called lowpoint (unix_vertex.scc_index). unix_vertex_dead() assumes all vertices in an SCC share the same lowpoint, but this is not always true if an SCC has two or more back edges, depending on the order of DFS. For example, the graph below has two back edges from B to A and from C to B. A --> B --> C ^ | ^ | `----' `----' If DFS walks through A -> B -> C -> B (-> C -> B) -> A (-> B -> A), each index and scc_index will be updated as follows. A --> B --> C C = (3, 3) (index, scc_index) B = (2, 2) A = (1, 1) A ... B ... C C = (3, 2)<-. ^ | B = (2, 2) -' `----' A = (1, 1) A ... B ... C C = (3, 2) ^ | . . B = (2, 1)<-. `----' .... A = (1, 1) -' Then, unix_vertex_dead() thinks that B is passed to another SCC with scc_index 2, and the SCC is not garbage-collected. This does not happen if DFS walks in a dif

  • Oct 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: wwan: t7xx: validate the netif index in t7xx_ccmni_recv_skb() The netif index carriedCVE-2026-98238 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: wwan: t7xx: validate the netif index in t7xx_ccmni_recv_skb() The netif index carried in the DPMAIF PIT header is five bits wide, but ccmni_inst[] only has room for NIC_DEV_MAX (21) entries. t7xx_ccmni_recv_skb() indexes the array without a bounds check, so indexes 21 to 31 read past it. The out-of-bounds value lands in the callback table that follows the array, which is never NULL, so the existing !ccmni check does not catch it and the driver dereferences whatever sits there as a struct t7xx_ccmni. Drop the skb when the index is out of range. Verified in a QEMU guest with a fault injector setting the netif index to 25: the unpatched driver reads a value past ccmni_inst[], which lands in the callback table, and dereferences it far enough to queue the skb. With this check the packet is dropped. Well-formed traffic on index 0 is unaffected. Changes in v2: none.

  • Oct 3, 2026In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, HQC leaked secret-derived data through two side channels: its GF(2^8) arithmetic used lookup tables indexed by field elemCVE-2026-18040 · Other software · Legion of the Bouncy Castle Inc. · reported by 91579145-5d7b-4cc5-b925-a0262ff19630Medium 5.9

In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, HQC leaked secret-derived data through two side channels: its GF(2^8) arithmetic used lookup tables indexed by field elements, making the cache line touched a function of the operand, and its fixed-weight support sampler left its duplicate scan as soon as a collision was found and stored accepted positions at a secret index. Both run on secret inputs during encapsulation and decapsulation, and the sampler re-expands the secret key from its seed on every decapsulation, so an attacker able to observe cache behaviour or decapsulation timing can recover information about the HQC private key. The field arithmetic is now table-free and the sampler branch-free within a batch of candidates, with output and randomness consumption unchanged.

  • Oct 2, 2026MISP contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the index table rendering of the remote event preview.CVE-2026-104900 · Other software · MISP · reported by 5a6e4751-2f3f-4070-9419-94fb35b644e8Medium 5.3

MISP contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the index table rendering of the remote event preview. The count field template escaped the associated link URL but rendered the field value without HTML encoding. An attacker with the ability to create or modify events on a linked (remote) MISP server could craft an event identifier containing HTML or JavaScript markup. When a user on the local MISP instance views the remote event preview index, the unescaped value is rendered directly in the browser, allowing arbitrary script execution in the victim's session. Preconditions: - A linked/remote MISP server is configured and connected to the local instance. - The attacker has sufficient access on the linked server to create or modify an event with a crafted identifier. - A victim user on the local instance views the remote event preview index page. Impact: - Execution of arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the MISP web application. - Potential session hijacking, data exfiltration, or unauthorized actions performed on behalf of the authenticated user. Affected versions: <2.5.48.

In Bouncy Castle for Java before 1.86, the MLS implementation (org.bouncycastle.mls) holds RFC 9420's uint32 leaf_index in a signed int, so a wire value with the top bit set decodes to a negative number. That is a legitimate encoding rather than malformed input, and it must still decode, since the MLS interop test vectors round-trip the full range. GroupKeySet.SecretTree.hasLeaf and Group.validateRemove compared the decoded value directly against the tree's leaf count, and a signed comparison treats any negative int as less than a positive bound, so an out-of-range sender passed the membership check. In the hasLeaf case the SenderData of an unprotected PrivateMessage could then drive LeafIndex.directPath through NodeIndex.parent() arithmetic that never reaches the tree root, growing the resulting node list without bound until the JVM exhausted its heap. A single small message from any current group member could therefore deny service to every other member of the group. Both comparisons now interpret the value as unsigned via Integer.toUnsignedLong, rejecting an out-of-range sender however it was encoded; well-formed leaf indices are unaffected.

  • Sep 30, 2026Integer Overflow, Improper Validation of Array Index, Uncontrolled Recursion and Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value in the Go implementation of Apache CVE-2026-102510 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 8.7

Integer Overflow, Improper Validation of Array Index, Uncontrolled Recursion and Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value in the Go implementation of Apache PLC4X (PLC4Go) allow a malicious device, or an attacker able to inject network traffic, to crash or exhaust the memory of the client application, causing a denial of service. The individual defects are: - Generated parsers pre-allocate arrays with the element count claimed on the wire (0.13.0 through 0.13.1). - Transport read helpers allocate buffers of the size claimed on the wire without an upper bound. - ADS and KNXnet/IP response handling indexes into received data without checking its length, causing a panic. - ADS and EIP frame-length handling accepts, or arithmetically wraps to, a length of zero, breaking message framing. - Recursive protocol types are parsed without a nesting-depth limit. The same defect in the Java implementation is covered by CVE-2026-102509 https://cveprocess.apache.org/cve5/CVE-2026-102509 . Additionally, length and position arithmetic in generated serializers was performed in 16-bit integers. • Sep 27, 2026Without NO_SESSION_CACHE_REF, wolfSSL_get_session() does not return a session object but a ClientSession reference of the form {row, index, hash(sessionID)} intCVE-2026-94419 · Other software · wolfSSL · reported by facts@wolfssl.comLow 2.3

Without NO_SESSION_CACHE_REF, wolfSSL_get_session() does not return a session object but a ClientSession reference of the form {row, index, hash(sessionID)} into the process-global SessionCache, and ClientSessionToSession() validates it against that hash alone. Because the TLS 1.2 session ID is chosen by the server and sent in clear, AddSessionToCache() matches any other server's session on the same ID and overwrites the client-side entry with that server's master secret, cipher suite and version, while the handle continues to resolve; nothing on the write path compares the peer, the application's server ID or the WOLFSSL_CTX. Resuming through the handle then produces an abbreviated handshake in which no Certificate message is sent, so neither chain verification nor wolfSSL_check_domain_name() runs, and the attacker is accepted as the original server for the whole of that connection. Affected builds are those leaving NO_SESSION_CACHE_REF, NO_SESSION_CACHE, NO_CLIENT_CACHE and TITAN_SESSION_CACHE all undefined, which includes a plain ./configure, --enable-opensslextra and --enable-opensslall; fifteen integration options define NO_SESSION_CACHE_REF and are therefore not affected, amo

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Fix percpu map update indexing with sparse CPU IDs Per-CPU array, hash, and cgroup storage map updates without BPF_F_CPU or BPF_F_ALL_CPUS use a value buffer whose per-CPU slots are packed in possible-CPU order. The buffer is sized as: round_up(value_size, 8) * num_possible_cpus() The update paths iterate over possible CPUs, but use the logical CPU ID to calculate the source offset: value + size * cpu This only works when possible CPU IDs are contiguous starting at zero. For example, with a possible CPU mask of 0,2-3, the buffer contains three slots corresponding to CPUs 0, 2, and 3. CPU2 is therefore expected to use slot 1 and CPU3 slot 2. Instead, the current code uses slots 2 and 3 respectively, causing incorrect per-CPU values and an out-of-bounds read from the update buffer for CPU3. The corresponding lookup paths already use a dense offset while iterating over possible CPUs. Do the same for the array, hash, and cgroup storage update paths, advancing the source offset once for each possible CPU. BPF_F_ALL_CPUS continues to use the same value for every CPU.

When there was no previous reparse data (oldsize == 0), the failure was likewise silently ignored. Propagate the error to the caller.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Bound VP index against VP_CTRL IOCB bitmap size The VP control IOCB selects its target virtual port by setting one bit in vp_idx_map, a fixed 16-byte (128-bit) array in both vp_ctrl_entry_24xx and vp_ctrl_entry_24xx_ext. qla25xx_ctrlvp_iocb() computes map = (vp_index - 1) / 8 and writes vce->vp_idx_map[map] without checking that map stays within the array. max_npiv_vports is taken from firmware and only sanitized to a MIN_MULTI_ID_FABRIC-aligned boundary, so it can legitimately be 191 or 255, and qla24xx_control_vp() only rejects vp_index >= max_npiv_vports. A vp_index above 128 therefore yields map >= 16 and an out-of-bounds write of up to 16 bytes past vp_idx_map, corrupting the trailing IOCB fields (or the adjacent request-ring slot on the 64-byte layout). Reject a vp_index that cannot be represented in the IOCB bitmap in qla24xx_control_vp(), and add a defensive ARRAY_SIZE() guard in qla25xx_ctrlvp_iocb() before the write. Adapters that report the usual 63 or 127 NPIV vports are unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: libipw: fix key index receive bound checks libipw_rx() reads skb->data[hdrlen + 3] to extract the WEP key index in both the software-decrypt key selection path and the hardware-decrypted IV/ICV strip path. In both places the existing guard only checks skb->len >= hdrlen + 3, which proves bytes up to hdrlen + 2 but not the byte at hdrlen + 3. Require hdrlen + 4 bytes before reading that item in both paths. This is a local source-boundary check only; it does not change the key index semantics.

MISP contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the default theme's Galaxies index page. When a MISP instance detects unknown custom or default galaxy clusters during synchronization, it renders sample tag names in an informational notice directed at site administrators. In the default theme, these sample tag names were inserted into the HTML output without HTML-entity encoding. A user with tag-editor privileges could craft a malicious misp-galaxy tag containing arbitrary script. When a site administrator subsequently viewed the Galaxies index page, the crafted tag content was interpreted as executable markup in the administrator's browser session, enabling the attacker to read session data, perform actions on behalf of the administrator, or otherwise compromise the administrator's browser context. The Overmind theme already applied HTML escaping to the same values and was not affected. The vulnerability requires the attacker to possess tag-editor-level access to create the crafted tag and requires the victim (a site administrator) to view the Galaxies index page in the default theme. The impact is limited to the administrator's browser session and does not direc

Imager versions before 1.036 for Perl disclose uninitialised heap memory reading a paletted image with pixel indexes past its colour map in i_gpix_p and i_glin_p. The palette is allocated uninitialised, and only the entries a reader adds count as populated. The TGA reader stores pixel indexes without checking them against the colour map. i_gpix_p() rejects only an index greater than the count, so an index equal to it reads the first unpopulated entry, and getpixel() returns it. i_glin_p() skips any index at or beyond the count without writing that pixel to the caller's buffer. The palette-to-RGB conversion reads each row through an uninitialised buffer, so those pixels of the converted image hold prior heap contents. Reading an attacker-supplied image through Imager->read() and then fetching its pixels or converting it to RGB discloses process heap memory.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: speakup: keyhelp: guard letter_offsets possible out-of-range indexing help_init() builds letter_offsets[] by using the first byte of each function name as an index via `(start & 31) - 1`. If function_names are overridden from sysfs (root) with a name starting outside [a–z], the index underflows or exceeds the array, leading to OOB write. Function names can be overridden with the following commands as root: modprobe speakup_soft echo "0 _bad" > /sys/accessibility/speakup/i18n/function_names # then press Insert+2 on /dev/tty This fix checks the first letter in help_init(), and if it is not in the [a–z] range the function returns an error to the caller. Eventually this error is propagated to drivers/accessibility/speakup/main.c:2217, which causes a bleep sound.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Validate num_sge/cur_sge before indexing wqe->dma.sge[] For a user QP, qp->sq.quCVE-2026-92525 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/rxe: Validate num_sge/cur_sge before indexing wqe->dma.sge[] For a user QP, qp->sq.queue is a ring the application writes directly, so rxe_post_send() takes the is_user branch and only schedules send_task without validating the WQE. rxe_requester() consumes it in place via req_next_wqe() and calls copy_data(), which indexes &wqe->dma.sge[cur_sge] with the attacker-controlled num_sge/cur_sge. Only the kernel path bounds num_sge (validate_send_wr()); the user WQE is never checked, so a local unprivileged user can post a WQE with an out-of-range cur_sge or oversized num_sge and force an out-of-bounds read of the per-WQE sge array in copy_data() (vmalloc OOB read, local DoS). Bound num_sge to qp->sq.max_sge in rxe_requester() before use, the way get_srq_wqe() already guards SRQ entries, and bound cur_sge only when the WQE carries payload (dma.resid): copy_data() returns early on a zero-length copy before touching dma->sge[], so a zero-payload WQE -- the only kind a max_sge == 0 QP can post -- stays valid. Reproduced under KASAN; the vmalloc-out-of-bounds in copy_data() is gone.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/cxgb4: free STAG index when TPT entry write fails write_tpt_entry() allocates a new STAG index with c4iw_get_resource() and bumps stats.stag.cur before programming the entry. When write_adapter_mem() fails, it returns the error without releasing the index or reversing the statistic. No MR is inserted into rhp->mrs, so deregistration never reclaims it, leaking the index until device teardown. Record whether this call allocated the index and, on a failed write, return it to tpt_table and decrement stats.stag.cur. Key the rollback on both the write error and that flag, not the error alone: a non-reset update carries a caller-owned STAG that this call did not allocate and must not free.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: Fix index_root heap OOB write in ntfs_ir_to_ib() ntfs_ir_to_ib copies all entries from index_root into a freshly allocated index_block_size-byte buffer without verifying that the entries fit in the available space. The entries in index_root may be larger than the usable entry space in the index block. This can cause OOB writes past the end of the allocation. The validator ntfs_index_root_inconsistent() checks that entries are self-consistent within the IR value, but never cross-checks them against index_block_size. There is no bounds check in ntfs_ir_to_ib() before the memcpy. Fixing this at the sink in ntfs_ir_to_ib() since ntfs_index_root_inconsistent() validates the logical consistency of index_root as a structure and a root with large entries is a structurally valid root. The bug is a size conflict of ntfs_ir_to_ib(). Also, the validator is called once per inode load in ntfs_read_locked_inode() while ntfs_ir_to_ib() is only called during a reparent, a check there adds no overhead to the common path. Moreover, even a future call path that bypasses the validator would still be protected. With NULL as
