Joomla Extension - dj-extensions.com - Unauthenticated Stored XSS in DJ-HelpfulArticles < 1.3.0 - The “was this article helpful” voting widget posts a client-supplied ip field to its AJAX handlers (getDeny, getConfirm, getDenyReason in mod_djhelpful_articles/helper.php), reachable without authentication through com_ajax. The value was stored exactly as submitted instead of being taken from the connection by the server. It was then printed without output escaping in the administrator backend’s “Helpful articles” overview (views/items/tmpl/default.php). $db->quote() was applied on insert, which protects the SQL statement but does nothing for HTML output. There was no CSRF token, no rate limit, and the vote de-duplication keyed on the same attacker-controlled field.

Psono Server CE && EE versions 0.1.0 through 7.2.3 accepted a user-controlled host when configuring a personal Duo device and passed it to the Duo client without an allowlist or explicit timeout. An authenticated remote attacker could cause the server to connect to selected hosts over HTTPS on port 443 and distinguish failure modes, providing an internal DNS and service-reachability oracle. Connections still required TLS certificate validation, and the flaw did not provide arbitrary protocol or port access. Unresponsive targets could also occupy a server worker until the operating-system timeout.

  • Oct 26, 2026Datadog dd-trace-py is the Datadog Python APM client.CVE-2026-116589 · Other software · DataDog · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

Datadog dd-trace-py is the Datadog Python APM client. From 3.13.0 until 4.15.5, the IAST string-processing instrumentation does not properly handle certain internal errors while old-style % string formatting processes attacker-controlled input. An unhandled error can terminate the Python process and interrupt the work it is handling. Exploitation requires IAST to be enabled, which is not the default, and application code to apply the affected formatting operation to attacker-controlled input. This issue is fixed in version 4.15.5.

Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling vulnerability in hackney_conn in benoitc hackney allows a malicious HTTP server to exhaust client memory via an oversized or highly compressed response body. hackney:request/5 and hackney:body/1 return the whole response body, and nothing bounds how much the connection process buffers. Any server the client requests can trigger it. hackney_conn:read_full_body/2 and the HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 accumulators append every chunk until the body ends. • Oct 26, 2026Client-Side Enforcement of Server-Side Security vulnerability in the WebSocket connection handling of mtrudel bandit allows a remote client to keep running WebSCVE-2026-110314 · Other software · mtrudel · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6.3

Client-Side Enforcement of Server-Side Security vulnerability in the WebSocket connection handling of mtrudel bandit allows a remote client to keep running WebSock handler code after the server has stopped its connection, via data frames sent after ignoring the server's Close frame. When a WebSock callback returns {:stop, ...}, Bandit.WebSocket.Connection calls terminate/2, sends Close and shuts down the write side, but keeps the connection process running in a :closing state. handle_frame/3 and handle_info/3 never check that state, so later frames still reach handle_in/2 and later messages reach handle_info/2, with the state from the stop tuple, until the client sends Close, TCP drops or the idle timeout fires. A client refused in init/1 after a failed token check could still run an admin-only action. This issue affects bandit: from 0.5.1 before 1.14.0.

Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in ash-project ash allows a client to read destination records unrelated to the source record through a through relationship. When a has_many relationship declared with through: was loaded for a single record with a limit of 1, or an unsorted has_one through relationship was loaded with a limit of 1, lateral_join?/4 in lib/ash/actions/read/relationships.ex chose the path that reads the destination without any filter linking it to the source. The load returned the first destination record by sort, or any other record with an offset. The read still runs the destination's policies but carries the relationship as accessing_from, so a client paging such a field (for example teachers(limit: 1, offset: n) through AshGraphql) can enumerate destination records that policies allow only when reached through that relationship. This issue affects ash: from 3.24.0 before 3.37.1.

The DHCPv4 client in subsys/net/lib/dhcpv4/dhcpv4.c maintained its transaction identifier (iface->config.dhcpv4.xid) as a counter rather than as a per-transaction random value. It was seeded once with sys_rand32_get() in dhcpv4_start_internal(), incremented by one in dhcpv4_send_discover() and dhcpv4_send_decline(), and never changed by dhcpv4_send_request() — so every RENEWING and REBINDING exchange reused, unchanged, the identifier that had already appeared on the wire in the broadcast DHCPDISCOVER at boot, and where the identifier did move it moved predictably by one. RFC 2131 4.1 requires a single identifier per transaction, chosen so that clients are unlikely to collide. This identifier is the client's only unpredictable reply-validation token. net_dhcpv4_input() accepts a BOOTP reply on op, a matching xid, and a matching chaddr (the interface MAC, which is public); the UDP callback is registered with a wildcard remote address and port, and no server-identifier or source-address check is applied. An attacker who learns one identifier — for example any host on the same segment that sees the broadcast DHCPDISCOVER, or a DHCP server or relay on a network the device previously jo

  • Oct 23, 2026A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname verification allows a certificate with only a DNS SAN to authenticate an IP endpoint when the client connects using a non-canonicCVE-2026-106072 · Other software · nodejs · reported by support@hackerone.comMedium 6.7

A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname verification allows a certificate with only a DNS SAN to authenticate an IP endpoint when the client connects using a non-canonical IPv4 spelling, such as `0177.0.0.1`, `0x7f.0.0.1`, `2130706433` or `127.1`. `tls.checkServerIdentity()` did not classify these hosts as IP addresses, but normalized them to their canonical form and matched the result against the certificate DNS names. A certificate containing `DNS:127.0.0.1` and no `IP Address:127.0.0.1` SAN was therefore accepted, while the same certificate is correctly rejected for `127.0.0.1`. Exploitation requires a certificate with a numeric DNS SAN issued by a CA trusted by the client, and a platform resolver that accepts these spellings, such as glibc. This vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.

  • Oct 23, 2026A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname verification can cause a server certificate to be validated against a different IP address than the one the client connected to, CVE-2026-106069 · Other software · nodejs · reported by support@hackerone.comHigh 7.4

A flaw in Node.js TLS hostname verification can cause a server certificate to be validated against a different IP address than the one the client connected to, when the host is a non-canonical IPv4 literal with a leading zero, such as `0127.0.0.1`. `tls.checkServerIdentity()` normalizes the host following the WHATWG URL rules, which read a leading-zero octet as octal (`0127.0.0.1` becomes `87.0.0.1`), while the connection is made through the operating system resolver, which on some platforms such as macOS reads it as decimal (`127.0.0.1`). A server at the connected address can then be authenticated with a certificate issued for another IP address. This vulnerability affects Node.js **26.x**, **24.x**, and **22.x**.

  • Oct 23, 2026A flaw in Node.js HTTP Agent connection reuse can cause a client to accept as valid a response that was sent before the client has sent the request.CVE-2026-105481 · Other software · nodejs · reported by support@hackerone.comMedium 6.5

A flaw in Node.js HTTP Agent connection reuse can cause a client to accept as valid a response that was sent before the client has sent the request. This is an incomplete fix of CVE-2026-48931. The guard that destroys idle keep-alive sockets when unexpected data arrives only runs when the event loop polls for I/O. If an unsolicited response has already reached the socket but has not been read yet when the socket is handed to a new request, for example because the event loop was busy with synchronous work, the guard is removed without seeing it and the data is parsed as the response to the new request. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/i2c: cancel the client work on remove xe_i2c_notifier() stores the DesignWare adapter in i2c->adapter and schedules i2c->work when the adapter is registered under the xe I2C platform device, and xe_i2c_client_work() then instantiates the AMC client device on that adapter. xe_i2c_remove() tears down the AMC, unregisters the client devices, the bus notifier and the adapter platform device, but it never drains i2c->work. A work item that is still queued or running when the adapter is unregistered dereferences i2c->adapter in i2c_new_client_device() after platform_device_unregister() has released the adapter. The work item is also embedded in the devm-allocated struct xe_i2c, so a work item still queued after the drm device devm unwind frees that allocation runs its callback on freed memory. The bus notifier is the only thing that schedules this work, and it is unregistered after the client devices. An instance that is still queued when the teardown runs can therefore write i2c->client[XE_I2C_CLIENT_AMC] while the loop is unregistering and clearing the same array, and an AMC client it instantiates late is on

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: don't hold ci->m_lock while waiting for a lease break ack When a cifs.ko client caches a read-handle (RH) lease via deferred close and a conflicting open arrives, ksmbd breaks the lease and waits for the acknowledgment in wait_for_break_ack() for up to OPLOCK_WAIT_TIME (35s). __smb_break_all_levII_oplock() runs that wait while holding ci->m_lock for read. cifs.ko reacts to a handle-lease break by closing the deferred handle rather than sending a lease break acknowledgment. That close path (close_id_del_oplock() -> opinfo_del()) takes ci->m_lock for write and is exactly what would wake the waiter, but it blocks on the read lock held by the waiting thread. The break is then resolved only by the 35s timeout, so xfstests generic/001 takes ~78s with leases enabled versus ~4s with oplocks only. Collect the target opinfos (each pinned with a reference) while holding ci->m_lock, then break them after releasing it, matching how smb_grant_oplock() already breaks a conflicting lease using only a reference. The reference keeps the opinfo (and its conn and lease) alive across the unlocked window, and a close racing

The option allowlist also drops any caller-supplied cacerts or ssl_options, so an application cannot turn verification on. The OpenAI Responses, Realtime, and Codex WebSocket paths reach this client and send the API key or OAuth access token in the authorization header. HTTP streaming through Finch and the HTTP/2 duplex session through Mint verify certificates and are not affected. This issue affects req_llm: from 1.9.0 before 1.29.0.

  • Oct 22, 2026A flaw was found in the OpenShift client oc.CVE-2026-115424 · Other software · Red Hat · reported by Red HatMedium 5.5

A flaw was found in the OpenShift client oc. When extracting container image layers with oc image extract, the application fails to properly sanitize symbolic and hard link targets pointing to absolute paths or to sibling directories of the extraction destination. An attacker who supplies a malicious container image can exploit this vulnerability by embedding links, and a chained file entry, that reference locations outside the intended extraction directory. This allows the attacker to write attacker-controlled content to arbitrary locations on the host filesystem with the privileges of the user running the command, potentially leading to file modification outside the destination directory.

A client-side encryption schema construction component in the MongoDB C# Driver places caller-supplied field identifiers into a position that is interpreted as a pattern expression, without normalizing or validating them. As a result, an application that designates certain fields for client-side field-level encryption may have the protection silently fail to apply, so data intended to be encrypted is stored and returned in cleartext; conversely, the rule may apply more broadly than intended. No user action is required to cause the condition, and any party with ordinary read access to the stored data — without possession of the encryption keys — can observe the unprotected values.

A flaw in the client-side encryption support of the MongoDB .NET/C# driver can cause data designated for client-side field-level encryption to be written without encryption. Under certain platform text-encoding configurations, an internal name conversion loses information, so the encryption layer fails to associate the operation with its configured encryption rules and the operation proceeds without an error being raised. An application user with the ability to write data through an affected application can therefore have sensitive fields persisted in plaintext, defeating the confidentiality guarantee that client-side encryption is intended to provide. No integrity or availability impact was observed.

The MongoDB C# Driver compares TLS client certificates by issuer and serial number only when deciding whether two clients can share cached connections. In an application that creates clients from certificates supplied by different users, a user who provides a certificate copying another user's issuer and serial number, without that user's private key, can be given connections authenticated with the other user's certificate. Database operations can then run under the other user's identity, affecting the confidentiality and integrity of data that identity can access.

Robots::Validate versions from 0.4.3 before 0.4.10 for Perl report clients as imposter robots when User-Agent matcher state carries over from a previous request. Each Robots::Validate object holds one pure-Perl Aho-Corasick search machine and feeds every User-Agent into it without resetting its state. A User-Agent that ends part-way through a robot name leaves the machine mid-match, so the next User-Agent checked by the same object can complete that name. That client's address is then checked against the robot's DNS rule, which it fails. A remote client can use this to make a site that blocks bad robots block other visitors where the prefix User-Agent string is a suffix of a robot being validated. Note that deployments with Algorithm::AhoCorasick::XS are also affected, since it was unused due to a different bug.
