  • Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix another iunlink infinite loop bug in online fsck xrep_iunlink_resolve_bucket is sCVE-2026-80532 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix another iunlink infinite loop bug in online fsck xrep_iunlink_resolve_bucket is supposed to reconstruct as much of the incore prev and next unlinked list pointers based on what it finds on disk and in memory before we move on to relinking the truly lost inodes back into the unlinked list. However, it's still vulnerable to infinite loops that come in via the next_unlinked pointers. Fix this problem by remembering which inodes we've already seen and checking new agino pointers against that. If a bit is already set, either this is a loop or the inode has nonzero link count. We'll deal with the second case in a subsequent patch.

  • Aug 26, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue with INO1_WRITTEN When exchanging two CVE-2026-80530 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix exchange-range reflink flag clearing issue with INO1_WRITTEN When exchanging two full-file ranges, xmi_can_exchange_reflink_flags() can move the reflink inode flag from the file that currently has it to the other file, as long as exactly one side is marked. This assumes that the file contents, and therefore all shared extents, are exchanged. That assumption is not true when XFS_EXCHMAPS_INO1_WRITTEN is set. xfs_exchmaps_can_skip_mapping() can skip hole and unwritten mappings from file1, so an exchange can complete without moving every mapping that the earlier flag-swap decision accounted for. In that case the post-operation cleanup can clear the reflink flag from an inode that still owns shared written extents. Later writes then take the non-reflink write path and may update blocks that should still have been protected by CoW, which shows up as data corruption between reflink-related files. Fix this by disabling the reflink flag exchange whenever XFS_EXCHMAPS_INO1_WRITTEN is requested. The contents exchange can still proceed; the conservative outcome is that both inodes keep the reflink flag. The

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_unix: Unlink scc_entry in unix_del_edge(). Kyle Zeng reported that GC could free a dead SCC partially. The scenario is as follows: 1) Create two SCCs: X -. A <-> B ^--' 2) Run the following concurrently: 2-1) send() sk-B to sk-B from sk-X 2-2) close() both A and B At 2-1), there is a small window where unix_add_edges() publishes a new edge (B <-> B) to GC but its skb is not queued by skb_queue_tail(). If 2-2) completes before skb_queue_tail() and GC is triggered, it judges A <-> B as dead, but B is not freed because GC cannot collect the not-yet-queued skb holding the B <-> B edge. X -. A <-> B -. This edge is visible ^--' ^..' but skb is not This itself is not a problem since the next GC run will judge B as dead as well and free it finally. X -. A <.> B -. ^--' ^--' However, X's SCC forces the next GC to call unix_walk_scc_fast(), and it iterates over A through B's scc_entry. Let's unlink scc_entry before freeing the vertex in unix_del_edge().

  • Aug 26, 2026The LoRaWAN TS004 Fragmented Data Block Transport handler frag_transport_package_callback() in subsys/lorawan/services/frag_transport.c parses downlink command CVE-2026-13480 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgLow 3.1

    The LoRaWAN TS004 Fragmented Data Block Transport handler frag_transport_package_callback() in subsys/lorawan/services/frag_transport.c parses downlink command bytes without validating that enough payload bytes remain before each access. The loop's only bound is rx_pos < len; after consuming the one-byte command id the handler cast rx_buf + rx_pos to a 10-byte struct frag_transport_setup_req, and for a DATA_FRAGMENT command passed &rx_buf[rx_pos] to the fragment decoder, which reads exactly ctx.frag_size bytes — with no remaining-length check in either case. The fragment size is attacker-chosen in a preceding FRAG_SESSION_SETUP command (ctx.frag_size = req->frag_size, capped at CONFIG_LORAWAN_FRAG_TRANSPORT_MAX_FRAG_SIZE, default 232). rx_buf aliases the 255-byte static MacCtx.RxPayload buffer in the loramac-node MAC layer, while len is the actual decrypted payload length. By padding a downlink with mismatched-index DATA_FRAGMENT filler commands (each advancing rx_pos by three bytes without producing an answer) and appending one matching-index fragment near the end of the payload, an attacker can make the decoder read up to roughly frag_size bytes past the end of RxPayload, copyin

  • Aug 26, 2026The LoRaWAN application-layer clock-synchronization service parses downlinks in clock_sync_package_callback() (subsys/lorawan/services/clock_sync.c).CVE-2026-13479 · Other software · zephyrproject · reported by vulnerabilities@zephyrproject.orgLow 3.1

    The LoRaWAN application-layer clock-synchronization service parses downlinks in clock_sync_package_callback() (subsys/lorawan/services/clock_sync.c). Its command loop only guarantees that the one-byte command id is in bounds; for the CLOCK_SYNC_CMD_APP_TIME (AppTimeAns) command the handler then reads a 4-byte time correction via sys_get_le32() plus a 1-byte token without checking that 5 bytes remain in the receive buffer (len - rx_pos). A short or crafted AppTimeAns therefore reads up to 5 bytes past the end of the decrypted payload. The payload (rx_buf/len) is the decrypted application frame delivered to the registered downlink callback (mcps_indication->Buffer/BufferSize). Reaching the handler requires a frame on the clock-sync port that passes LoRaWAN's MAC integrity check and FRMPayload decryption, so the practical attacker is a malicious or compromised network/application server (the designated sender of AppTimeAns) or a party holding the session keys, rather than an arbitrary radio listener. The over-read is bounded: the backing store is a fixed 255-byte static buffer, so the few stray bytes do not fault, and the read values (time_correction, token) are used only internally

  • Aug 24, 2026BetterLinks – Link Shortener, Link Cloaking, Redirects, Affiliate Link Manager & MCP: Authorization bypassCVE-2026-19801 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

    The BetterLinks – Link Shortener, Link Cloaking, Redirects, Affiliate Link Manager & MCP plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.0. This is due to the plugin not properly verifying that a user is authorized to perform an action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to create arbitrary BetterLinks short URLs with attacker-controlled slugs and redirect destinations, enabling phishing and SEO abuse. Exploitation requires the Fluent Boards companion plugin to be installed and active (so that the FLUENT_BOARDS constant is defined), and is further facilitated by the betterlinks_admin_nonce nonce being emitted on every frontend page via wp_localize_script, making it accessible to any authenticated user.

    adm-zip 0.5.9 through 0.6.0 follows symbolic links at the extraction destination. Utils.sanitize in util/utils.js enforces containment by comparing only the string form of an archive entry name against the resolved extraction root, and Utils.writeFileTo opens the computed destination with fs.openSync(path, "w", 0o666), which resolves symbolic links and carries neither O_NOFOLLOW nor a pre-write fs.lstatSync check. When a path component at the destination already exists as a symbolic link pointing outside the extraction root, extractAllTo, extractAllToAsync and extractEntryTo write the entry contents through that link and then chmod its target, placing attacker-controlled content in a file outside the root without any traversal sequence appearing in the archive. Reaching the write requires overwrite to be enabled, because the preceding fs.existsSync check also resolves the link and otherwise declines. An attacker able to create a symbolic link inside a shared, reused or predictable extraction directory, such as a temporary directory or a continuous integration workspace, can overwrite any file the extracting process is permitted to write.

    justhtml before 1.18.0 contains multiple low-severity denial-of-service issues in CSS selector handling and linkification. Applications that evaluate attacker-controlled selector strings (via query(), matches(), or selector-based transforms), run selector matching over very large untrusted documents, construct DOM trees from untrusted structure, or enable linkification over attacker-controlled text may consume disproportionate CPU or memory. Triggers include oversized selectors, large selector lists, oversized compound selectors, long combinator chains, deeply nested functional pseudo-classes, repeated token/positional matching, cyclic DOM graphs causing non-terminating traversal, and punctuation-heavy or trailing-bracket linkification input. These are availability-only concerns and do not by themselves allow script execution, data disclosure, or sanitizer bypass. Default JustHTML(sanitize=True) usage is not expected to be exposed, since selectors are normally supplied by application code.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sched_ext: Skip sub-disable teardown for never-linked sub-schedulers A sub-scheduler enable can fail before scx_link_sched() links the sched into the hierarchy, e.g. when the parent is already being disabled, and cleanup still runs the full scx_sub_disable(). That is racy against root disable: drain_descendants() is the only ordering between a sub's disable-time task walk and root disable's all-task teardown, and an unlinked sub is invisible to it. Root's teardown can thus run between the never-linked sub's drain and its walk, exiting every task to no scheduler. The walk then trips the membership WARN and re-homes the exited tasks onto the dying hierarchy, a use-after-free. Skip the cgroup ownership reset and the task walk if @sch was never linked, indicated by the empty ->sibling as unlinking only happens later in the same function. The membership WARN remains valid: a linked sub is always waited on by an ancestor's drain.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/smc: fix qentry overwrite for CONFIRM_LINK and ADD_LINK_CONT in smc_llc_event_handler() The SMC_LLC_CONFIRM_LINK / SMC_LLC_ADD_LINK_CONT branch in smc_llc_event_handler() stores an incoming qentry into the local LLC flow without first checking whether a qentry is already pending. If a malicious or buggy peer sends a second CONFIRM_LINK or ADD_LINK_CONT request while a flow is active and flow->qentry is already set, smc_llc_flow_qentry_set() overwrites the pointer without freeing the previous allocation, leaking one kmalloc-96 object per spurious message. The sibling SMC_LLC_DELETE_LINK branch already has the correct !flow->qentry guard. Apply the same guard to the CONFIRM_LINK/ADD_LINK_CONT branch so that a duplicate message when qentry is already occupied falls through to break and is freed by the kfree(qentry) at the out: label, rather than silently leaking the existing allocation. The response direction (smc_llc_rx_response()) is unaffected: it already guards with flow->qentry at the equivalent site and drops duplicate responses correctly.

    In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: vxlan: do not arm the ageing timer on a device that is down vxlan_changelink() arms vxlan->age_timer whenever the requested ageing interval differs from the configured one: if (conf.age_interval != vxlan->cfg.age_interval) mod_timer(&vxlan->age_timer, jiffies); There is no netif_running() test, so the timer is armed even on a device that was never brought up. The only synchronous cancel in the driver is the timer_delete_sync() in vxlan_stop(), which is .ndo_stop. netif_close_many() drops devices without IFF_UP before __dev_close_many() runs, so that cancel is skipped for such a device. vxlan_setup() sets dev->needs_free_netdev = true and age_timer is a member of struct vxlan_dev, so free_netdev() releases the allocation the timer lives in while it is still queued on a timer_base. expire_timers() unlinks the entry before it loads timer->function, so the timer core writes through the freed object's list pointers: BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __run_timers+0x208/0x654 Write of size 8 at addr ffff00001adace68 by task true/192 __asan_store8+0x84/0xac __run_timers+0x208/0x654 run_timer_softirq

The link is freed with plain kfree(), not kfree_rcu(), and for UDP bearers disable_media() only schedules the asynchronous cleanup_bearer() work, so its synchronize_net() runs after the links are already gone. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: thunderbolt: Bound the DROM dual link port number before indexing sw->ports tb_drom_parse_entry_port() validates the device-supplied header->index against sw->config.max_port_number before indexing sw->ports[], but the sibling field entry->dual_link_port_nr -- a 6-bit value also read from the DROM -- indexes the same array with no such check. A malicious or malformed Thunderbolt device can set dual_link_port_nr beyond the allocated sw->ports[] (max_port_number + 1 entries), producing an out-of-bounds tb_port pointer that is stored and later dereferenced. Reject a port entry whose dual_link_port_nr exceeds max_port_number, the same bound already applied to header->index.

  • Aug 21, 2026to_abs_path in scripts/iib/tool.py normalised the requested path with os.path.normpath, which collapses dot segments but does not resolve symbolic links.CVE-2026-77815 · Other software · zanllp · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.7

    to_abs_path in scripts/iib/tool.py normalised the requested path with os.path.normpath, which collapses dot segments but does not resolve symbolic links. A symlink placed inside a scanned directory therefore satisfies the containment comparison performed by is_path_trusted in scripts/iib/api.py while pointing outside that directory, and FileResponse follows the link when serving the response, so a link created in an image directory and targeting a file such as /etc/passwd discloses that file. Whether the check applies depends on get_enable_access_control in scripts/iib/tool.py: it returns true when IIB_ACCESS_CONTROL is set to enable, false when set to disable, and otherwise true when the host Stable Diffusion WebUI was started with share, ngrok, listen or server_name, falling back to false. Confinement is therefore active in the network-exposed WebUI deployments that rely on it, while a standalone run with no such option serves every readable file regardless of this flaw. The fix resolves the path with os.path.realpath.

    SSRF via Metalink Mirror URL Resolution: An authenticated tenant can register a template pointing to an attacker-controlled metalink file containing internal targets. The Secondary Storage VM will retrieve the data and persist it as a template file, which can later be downloaded through normal APIs. RCE on KVM hypervisor via NFS, Metalink files with/without Direct Downloads: An authenticated CloudStack tenant holding the default User role can execute arbitrary shell commands as root on the KVM hypervisor host that runs other tenants' VMs. This is cross-tenant root on the underlying compute, reachable via the public CloudStack API. When a User registers a VM template with directDownload=true and a URL pointing to a .metalink file, the management server fetches the metalink XML and dispatches download to the KVM agent. Inner URLs inside the metalink XML are never re-validated against the scheme allowlist. These issues affect Apache CloudStack: from 4.14.0.0 through 4.20.3.0 and from 4.21.0.0 through 4.22.1.0.
