  • Mar 26, 2024In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Refactor DMCUB enter/exit idle interface [Why] We can hang in place tryinCVE-2023-52625 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Refactor DMCUB enter/exit idle interface [Why] We can hang in place trying to send commands when the DMCUB isn't powered on. [How] We need to exit out of the idle state prior to sending a command, but the process that performs the exit also invokes a command itself. Fixing this issue involves the following: 1. Using a software state to track whether or not we need to start the process to exit idle or notify idle. It's possible for the hardware to have exited an idle state without driver knowledge, but entering one is always restricted to a driver allow - which makes the SW state vs HW state mismatch issue purely one of optimization, which should seldomly be hit, if at all. 2. Refactor any instances of exit/notify idle to use a single wrapper that maintains this SW state. This works simialr to dc_allow_idle_optimizations, but works at the DMCUB level and makes sure the state is marked prior to any notify/exit idle so we don't enter an infinite loop. 3. Make sure we exit out of idle prior to sending any commands or waiting for DMCUB idle. This patch takes care of 1/2. A future patc

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Wake DMCUB before executing GPINT commands [Why] DMCUB can be in idle when we attempt to interface with the HW through the GPINT mailbox resulting in a system hang. [How] Add dc_wake_and_execute_gpint() to wrap the wake, execute, sleep sequence. If the GPINT executes successfully then DMCUB will be put back into sleep after the optional response is returned. It functions similar to the inbox command interface.

[How] For functions that execute within a DC context or DC lock we can wrap the direct calls to dm_execute_dmub_cmd/list with code that exits idle power optimizations and reallows once we're done with the command submission on success. For DM direct submissions the DM will need to manage the enter/exit sequencing manually. We cannot invoke a DMCUB command directly within the DM execution helper or we can deadlock.

I added an entry and copied the 0x0 value for the offset from similar code in drivers/gpu/drm/amd/display/modules/hdcp/hdcp_ddc.c. I also declared several of these arrays as having HDCP_MESSAGE_ID_MAX entries. This doesn't change the code, but it's just a belt and suspenders approach to try future proof the code.

  • Feb 8, 2024WikiDiscover is an extension designed for use with a CreateWiki managed farm to display wikis.CVE-2024-25107 · Other software · miraheze · reported by GitHubMedium 4.9

WikiDiscover is an extension designed for use with a CreateWiki managed farm to display wikis. On Special:WikiDiscover, the `Language::date` function is used when making the human-readable timestamp for inclusion on the wiki_creation column. This function uses interface messages to translate the names of months and days. It uses the `->text()` output mode, returning unescaped interface messages. Since the output is not escaped later, the unescaped interface message is included on the output, resulting in an XSS vulnerability. Exploiting this on-wiki requires the `(editinterface)` right. This vulnerability has been addressed in commit `267e763a0`. Users are advised to update their installations. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.

The Display custom fields in the frontend – Post and User Profile Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Insecure Direct Object Reference in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.1 via the vg_display_data shortcode due to missing validation on a user controlled key. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to retrieve potentially sensitive post meta.

The Display custom fields in the frontend – Post and User Profile Fields plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the plugin's shortcode and postmeta in all versions up to, and including, 1.2.1 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on user supplied attributes. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

The Jinja templating in Logpoint SIEM 6.10.0 through 7.x before 7.3.0 does not correctly sanitize log data being displayed when using a custom Jinja template in the Alert view. A remote attacker can craft a cross-site scripting (XSS) payload and send it to any system or device that sends logs to the SIEM. If an alert is created, the payload will execute upon the alert data being viewed with that template, which can lead to sensitive data disclosure.

  • Jan 29, 2024In Apache Kylin version 2.0.0 to 4.0.3, there is a Server Config web interface that displays the content of file 'kylin.properties', that may contain serversideCVE-2023-29055 · Websites & servers · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgHigh 7.5

In Apache Kylin version 2.0.0 to 4.0.3, there is a Server Config web interface that displays the content of file 'kylin.properties', that may contain serverside credentials. When the kylin service runs over HTTP (or other plain text protocol), it is possible for network sniffers to hijack the HTTP payload and get access to the content of kylin.properties and potentially the containing credentials. To avoid this threat, users are recommended to  * Always turn on HTTPS so that network payload is encrypted. * Avoid putting credentials in kylin.properties, or at least not in plain text. * Use network firewalls to protect the serverside such that it is not accessible to external attackers. * Upgrade to version Apache Kylin 4.0.4, which filters out the sensitive content that goes to the Server Config web interface.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
