A prior update that raised a bundled HTTP client library to a version remediating known vulnerabilities was later reverted, reintroducing the earlier, vulnerable version into a log-processing component. The only code path in that component using the library issues a request to a single fixed, trusted vendor URL at initialization and does not process attacker-controlled input through the library, limiting practical exploitability of the reintroduced version in this context.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Revert "media: v4l2-dev: fix error handling in __video_register_device()" This reverts commit 2a934fdb01db6458288fc9386d3d8ceba6dd551a. The intentions of that patch were good, but it doesn't work. The idea is that if device_register fails, you have to do a put_device to let the ref counter release resources. However, the V4L2 API says that if video_register_device() fails, then you have to call video_device_release(), which kfree()s the video_device struct. But the put_device() will already have freed the struct, so you end up in a double-free scenario. There is not really a good way of fixing this without breaking video_register_device() into two parts, one that initializes everything, and one that does the actual device_register, and then converting all V4L2 drivers to this new model. That is a massive job, and it is very unlikely that device_register will fail. So rather than ending up in a double-free scenario, just revert this patch, and in that case we'll have a small memory leak. Which is a lot more robust.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: cec: stm32: prevent out-of-bounds write on RX overflow stm32_rx_done() appends eachCVE-2026-89725 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: cec: stm32: prevent out-of-bounds write on RX overflow stm32_rx_done() appends each received CEC byte to rx_msg.msg[] using rx_msg.len as the write index, incrementing it on every RXBR (receive-byte-ready) interrupt without checking it against the buffer size: cec->rx_msg.msg[cec->rx_msg.len++] = val & 0xFF; rx_msg.msg[] is a fixed CEC_MAX_MSG_SIZE (16) byte array in struct cec_msg, and rx_msg.len is only reset on RXACKE/RXOVR or after a completed message (RXEND). The number of bytes received before RXEND is decided by the remote CEC device (it sets EOM), not by the driver. A peer that keeps sending bytes without ending the message drives RXBR repeatedly, pushing rx_msg.len past 16 and writing peer-controlled bytes out of bounds into the surrounding memory. This is reachable in normal operation once the driver has probed and receiving is enabled, from the IRQ thread, without any local privilege. The length check in the CEC core runs on the consumer side, after the byte has been stored, so it does not prevent the overflow. Bound the index in the driver before the store, as the other platform CEC drivers

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: vicodec: fix out-of-bounds write in FWHT encoder vidioc_s_fmt_vid_out() sizes the eCVE-2026-89724 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: vicodec: fix out-of-bounds write in FWHT encoder vidioc_s_fmt_vid_out() sizes the encoder CAPTURE buffer from the compressed descriptor pixfmt_fwht, whose sizeimage_mult is 3: coded_w * coded_h * 3 + sizeof(struct fwht_cframe_hdr). fwht_encode_frame() encodes one plane per component, and an incompressible plane takes the FWHT_FRAME_UNENCODED path in encode_plane(), copying the plane verbatim. For a 4-component pixel format all four planes are full resolution (width_div == height_div == 1), so a frame that forces every plane through the unencoded fallback writes sizeof(struct fwht_cframe_hdr) + 4 * coded_w * coded_h bytes, overrunning the plane by coded_w * coded_h, which can result in corruption of adjacent kernel heap memory. Bump pixfmt_fwht.sizeimage_mult from 3 to 4, matching the largest components_num among the supported raw formats, so the capture buffer is always large enough for the unencoded fallback.

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libnvdimm/labels: Prevent integer overflow in __nd_label_validate() The on-media namespaceCVE-2026-89559 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: libnvdimm/labels: Prevent integer overflow in __nd_label_validate() The on-media namespace index field nslot is a u32 read from the DIMM label storage area. __nd_label_validate() bounds it against the config area size, but sizeof_namespace_label() returns unsigned, so the product nslot * label_size is evaluated in 32-bit and wraps modulo 2^32 before the comparison. A crafted nslot passes the bound and is then used as the loop trip count in nd_label_data_init(), whose memset() walks off the end of the config_size buffer: an out-of-bounds write. The field is not trusted -- it comes from the medium, or from userspace via ND_CMD_SET_CONFIG_DATA. Evaluate the product in 64-bit so the bound check is exact; conforming labels are unaffected. The check was safe when introduced by commit 4a826c83db4e ("libnvdimm: namespace indices: read and validate"): it multiplied by sizeof(struct nd_namespace_label), a size_t, so on a 64-bit build the product did not wrap. Commit 564e871aa66f ("libnvdimm, label: add v1.2 nvdimm label definitions") narrowed it to 32 bits when the label size became a runtime value read via sizeof_na

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: staging/ipu7: fix async notifier UAF on probe error path isys_register_devices() reCVE-2026-89522 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: staging/ipu7: fix async notifier UAF on probe error path isys_register_devices() registers the V4L2 async notifier via isys_notifier_init(). If a subsequent probe step such as isys_fw_log_init() fails, isys_probe() jumps to the out_cleanup label which only calls isys_unregister_devices(). That helper tears down the video devices, subdevices, V4L2 device and media device, but never unregisters or cleans up the async notifier. As a result the notifier stays chained in the global notifier_list while the enclosing struct ipu7_isys is freed by devres, leading to list corruption and a use-after-free the next time the list is walked. The remove path already does the right thing by calling isys_notifier_cleanup() before isys_unregister_devices(). Mirror that on the probe error path so the notifier is unregistered and cleaned up before the device is torn down.

  • Sep 11, 2026Concrete CMS versions 9.0.0 to 9.5.2 is vulnerable to Stored XSS in Board Custom Slot dialog.CVE-2026-81911 · Other software · Concrete CMS · reported by ff5b8ace-8b95-4078-9743-eac1ca5451deMedium 5.8

Concrete CMS versions 9.0.0 to 9.5.2 is vulnerable to Stored XSS in Board Custom Slot dialog. The custom_slot save_template endpoint authorizes the request only against the target board instance (canEditBoardContents()) and then persists the client-supplied selectedTemplateOption[collection] verbatim, rather than rebuilding the content object collection server-side and verifying that each item belongs to the authorized board's data pool. A user with permission to edit the contents of at least one board instance can therefore store a forged summary object whose description field carries a JavaScript-bearing HTML payload. The default summary template renders the description field without output encoding, so the payload executes in the browser of any user who views the affected board slot, including anonymous front-end visitors and dashboard users who preview the resulting rule or block. This can enable session or action takeover and escalation toward an administrator. Concrete CMS versions below 9 do not include the Boards feature and are not affected. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 5.8 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:P/VC:H/VI

  • Sep 11, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-pcache: validate on-media seg_num against the cache device size seg_num is read from thCVE-2026-80960 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-pcache: validate on-media seg_num against the cache device size seg_num is read from the crc32c-only superblock, so whoever supplies the cache device on a table load (CAP_SYS_ADMIN) controls it. It sizes cache->segments[] and is the value every later on-media segment id is bounded against, yet it is never checked against the device. Because cache_dev->mapping is the direct map of the pmem, CACHE_DEV_SEGMENT() for a segment id past the device resolves to ordinary kernel memory beyond the mapping; a new-cache init reaching such an id has cache_seg_init() -> cache_dev_zero_range() memset() 12 KiB over that memory -- an out-of-bounds write into the kernel heap at table load. A zero seg_num makes the segment allocations ZERO_SIZE_PTR. Reject a seg_num that is zero, larger than the device can hold, or larger than PCACHE_CACHE_SEGS_MAX before it is used.

  • Sep 11, 2026Media Library Assistant: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6642 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the bulk edit preset export/import mechanism in versions up to and including 3.35. This is due to insufficient output escaping on preset field values when they are rendered in HTML attribute contexts in the mla_generate_bulk_edit_form_fieldsets() function and mla-bulk-edit-fieldsets.tpl template. While wp_kses() filtering is applied during preset export for users without unfiltered_html capability, this does not prevent attribute injection attacks since the malicious payload consists of quotes and HTML attributes rather than HTML tags. When preset values are retrieved and rendered, they are directly assigned to template variables without esc_attr() escaping and then inserted into input element value attributes via simple string replacement. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Author-level access and above (upload_files capability), to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when an administrator imports the poisoned preset and the targeted input field receives focus.

  • Sep 11, 2026Media Library Assistant: Stored Cross-Site ScriptingCVE-2026-6641 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 6.4

The Media Library Assistant plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'mla_gallery' shortcode in versions up to and including 3.35. This is due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping on the mla_link_href parameter when mla_output is set to 'paginate_links', where the _paginate_links() function processes the value through mla_process_shortcode_parameter() and _replace_query_parameter() without proper URL escaping, then outputs it directly in href attributes without applying esc_url(). This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

  • Sep 10, 2026A SQL injection vulnerability exists in the JasperReports-based reporting feature of multiple versions of OpenNMS Meridian and Horizon.CVE-2026-89089 · Other software · The OpenNMS Group · reported by security@opennms.comMedium 6.5

A SQL injection vulnerability exists in the JasperReports-based reporting feature of multiple versions of OpenNMS Meridian and Horizon. A low-privileged authenticated user (ROLE_USER) can run the shipped, default-enabled online reports "Maintenance contracts expired" (AssetManagementMaintExpired) and "Maintenance contracts strategy" (AssetManagementMaintStrategy) via the reporting REST API (POST /rest/reports/{id}) and supply a DATE_FORMAT parameter that the report templates substitute literally, un-escaped, into their SQL queries. This lets an attacker execute arbitrary SQL against the OpenNMS database and read arbitrary data, including database-stored secrets such as provisioning and notification credentials and SNMP community strings. The solution is to upgrade to Meridian 2024.3.13, 2025.0.10 and Horizon 36.0.4 or newer. Meridian and Horizon installation instructions state that they are intended for installation within an organization's private networks and should not be directly accessible from the Internet.

An XML External Entity (XXE) vulnerability exists in the XML collector of multiple versions of OpenNMS Meridian and Horizon. When OpenNMS collects XML from a source whose response is attacker-controlled (for example a compromised monitored host or an HTTP man-in-the-middle position), the collector's XML parser resolves external entities and external DTDs. This allows an attacker to read files accessible to the OpenNMS service account, including database credentials, and to induce out-of-band requests. The solution is to upgrade to Meridian 2024.3.13, 2025.0.10 and Horizon 36.0.4 or newer. Concrete CMS 9 through 9.5.2 did not validate an anti-CSRF token in the Boards custom slot dialog controller (concrete/controllers/dialog/board/custom_slot.php) saveTemplate() action. The action created a board_slot_proxy Block and dispatched an AddCustomSlotToBoardCommand against a board instance while gating only on the per-resource canEditBoardContents() permission, so a crafted cross-site request could cause a user holding board-edit permission with an active session to write attacker-chosen slot and template data to a board under their own authority. The state-changing database write completed before any downstream rendering, so the forged request succeeded even when the HTTP response returned a non-200 status. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 5.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:N/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Concrete CMS versions 8.3.0 through 9.5.2 are vulnerable to an authorization bypass in the Calendar event edit dialog (concrete/controllers/dialog/event/edit.php). The dialog checked permissions against the calendar identifier supplied in the request rather than the calendar owning the targeted event occurrence. A user with the "Add Event" permission on a single calendar could read and overwrite events on calendars they were not permitted to access, and could delete an event's original local occurrence. Publishing the injected version to the live calendar, which demotes the previously approved version, additionally required the actor's approve_calendar_event workflow rights or an auto-approving workflow. The Concrete CMS Security Team gave this a rank of 5.9 with CVSS 4.0 vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:H/UI:N/VC:L/VI:H/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. Thanks Winston Crooker for reporting.

A security issue in MongoDB Server's diagnostic reporting interface allows an authenticated user with monitoring privileges to access insufficiently protected credentials from concurrent administrative operations. The same credentials are properly redacted in server log output, but the diagnostic interface omits equivalent redaction. Successful exploitation requires a valid authenticated session with monitoring-level permissions and results in exposure of cleartext credentials that could enable impersonation of other users, including privileged accounts.

Netis NX10 firmware V4.0.1.5808 and V3.0.0.4142 contain an OS command injection vulnerability in the ping diagnostic handler that allows authenticated administrators to execute arbitrary shell commands as root by injecting into the IpAddr parameter. The parameter is interpolated directly into a shell command executed through system() with an incomplete denylist that only blocks spaces, pipes, semicolons, and ampersands, leaving command substitution and alternate field separator expansion available for exploitation.

Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
