  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55854 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubMedium 5.9

MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, MariaDB Connector/Node.js can disclose an account password when PAM dialog authentication is negotiated over an insecure transport. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/pam-password-auth.js and lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, the SendPamAuthPacketFactory behavior for the server-side plugin dialog lacked the secure-transport gate applied to mysql_clear_password. With the default sslMode=DISABLE and restrictedAuth=null settings, a hostile or on-path server can send an Authentication Switch Request for dialog over plain TCP, causing the connector to return the account password in cleartext. Properly verified TLS and a local Unix socket prevent this path, while fingerprint-only server identity validation is not sufficient. This issue is fixed in versions 3.2.4, 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.

  • Aug 28, 2026An application using the MongoDB BI Connector ODBC Driver may encounter a memory-safety issue when a submitted SQL statement contains an unusually long run of dCVE-2026-81533 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comMedium 6

An application using the MongoDB BI Connector ODBC Driver may encounter a memory-safety issue when a submitted SQL statement contains an unusually long run of digits following a LIMIT clause. The issue occurs only on connections where the driver's optional prefetch setting is enabled, and stems from the driver copying the digit sequence into a fixed-size internal buffer without checking its length. A user able to influence the numeric portion of a LIMIT clause could cause the hosting application process to terminate unexpectedly or corrupt adjacent memory in that process.

A user able to submit SQL through an application using the MongoDB Connector for BI ODBC driver can supply a positioned-cursor statement whose cursor name exceeds the size of an internal fixed-length buffer. Because the name length is not bounded before the driver builds its diagnostic message, memory adjacent to that buffer is overwritten with user-supplied content. This can terminate the hosting application process and may allow unintended code to run within it.

  • Aug 28, 2026A network-reachable client that has not yet authenticated can hold a MongoDB Connector for BI authentication session open indefinitely by beginning a SASL-basedCVE-2026-81520 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 8.7

A network-reachable client that has not yet authenticated can hold a MongoDB Connector for BI authentication session open indefinitely by beginning a SASL-based login exchange and then declining to complete it. Because the negotiation loop had no overall time bound and the read from the client had no deadline, each such session retains a worker, a client connection slot, and its associated backend database connections until the process is restarted. Repeated use of this behavior can consume the configured connection capacity and prevent legitimate users from establishing new sessions.

When mongosqld is configured with a client certificate authority file, the listener requests a client certificate during the TLS handshake but does not require one, so a client that presents no certificate is still accepted. In deployments that rely on client certificates as the sole means of identifying users, a remote party with network access to the listener can therefore establish a session and read the MongoDB data exposed through the connector.

An unauthenticated party able to reach the port of a MongoDB Connector for BI (mongosqld) instance may generate enough routine connection log activity to exhaust the storage backing the configured log path. When a log write or log rotation operation subsequently fails, the resulting error is not handled and the shared mongosqld process ends, ending service for all connected SQL clients. The process continues to end on startup until an operator restores available storage, and the diagnostic message explaining the condition is not recorded.

A database user able to create a view in a namespace that MongoDB Connector for BI samples can cause the schema-sampling routine to stop functioning by defining a view whose evaluation reliably fails. The sampling logic classifies the resulting server message as transient and, after the configured retries are exhausted, proceeds without a valid result, ending the schema refresh routine. The mongosqld process continues running without a usable schema, so SQL clients are unable to obtain results until an operator removes the view or excludes its namespace from sampling.

  • Aug 28, 2026MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases.CVE-2026-55215 · Other software · mariadb-corporation · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5

MariaDB Connector/Node.js is used to connect applications developed on Node.js to MariaDB and MySQL databases. Prior to versions 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3, when ssl is enabled without a pinned CA or server certificate, MariaDB Connector/Node.js sends credentials before completing certificate fingerprint validation. In lib/cmd/handshake/auth/handshake.js, a server that selects mysql_clear_password as the initial authentication plugin can receive the password before the post-TLS identity check. In lib/cmd/handshake/authentication.js, an authentication switch can evaluate the previous plugin instead of the requested target plugin, allowing mysql_clear_password to send the credential first. An active man-in-the-middle can present a self-signed certificate, capture the database password, and use it to authenticate directly even though the connector later rejects the server and closes the connection. This issue is fixed in versions 3.3.3, 3.4.6, and 3.5.3.

  • Aug 28, 2026When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues.CVE-2026-33263 · Other software · Open-Xchange GmbH · reported by security@open-xchange.comMedium 4.3

When mail_max_userip_connections is set (default 10) and reached, submission-login can crash with epoll() panic caused by file descriptor handling issues. If running in high-security mode (default for community releases), only the new submission connection gets terminated. If running in high-performance mode (default for Pro releases), all connections handled by the submission-login process will be terminated. The crashes can cause failure for user to send a message, or it can cause duplicate messages to be sent. If TLS is not used (in the backend server processing the submission), duplicate deliveries cannot happen, because the crash can only happen at AUTH stage. Limit the number of connections handled by single submission-login process. This has a performance impact though. Update to non-vulnerable version. No publicly available exploits are known.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipvs: do not propagate one-packet flag to synced conns Synced connections can be created before their destination exists. When the destination is later added, ip_vs_bind_dest() copies connection flags from the destination into cp->flags. IP_VS_CONN_F_ONE_PACKET connections are not synced. If a synced connection inherits IP_VS_CONN_F_ONE_PACKET while it is already hashed, expiry can treat it as a one-packet connection and skip unlinking the existing conn_tab node, leaving stale hash nodes pointing at a freed struct ip_vs_conn. Netmaker disables certificate verification on the connection to the configured mail server. The sender in pro/email/smtp.go assigns a TLS configuration whose skip-verify field is set to true unconditionally, directly beneath a comment stating that the setting should be false in production. No configuration value governs it and no code path restores verification, so the client accepts any certificate the mail server presents, including one an interposing party supplies. Mail that Netmaker sends over that connection includes password-reset messages carrying single-use tokens and user invitations carrying enrolment links, so a party positioned on the path between the server and its mail relay can read those messages in transit and use a captured reset token before the intended recipient does. The setting is absent from the development branch but present in the latest release.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: byd - synchronize timer deletion before freeing private data byd_disconnect() uses timer_delete() before freeing the driver's private data. This does not wait for a running byd_clear_touch() callback, which dereferences the private data and its psmouse pointer. A callback racing with disconnect can therefore access the private data after it has been freed. The timer can also still be re-armed by byd_process_byte() while the disconnect is in progress. Use timer_shutdown_sync() before freeing the private data: it waits for a running callback and turns any later re-arm attempt into a no-op.

  • Aug 25, 2026Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper.CVE-2026-70665 · Other software · doorkeeper-gem · reported by GitHubMedium 4.2

Doorkeeper OpenID Connect implements an OpenID Connect authentication provider for Rails applications on top of Doorkeeper. Prior to 1.10.4, the Dynamic Client Registration (DCR) endpoint persists client-supplied scopes without validating them against the server's configured scope set. Under certain conditions, this allows a self-registered client to obtain scopes beyond what the server intended to grant. In DynamicClientRegistrationController#application_params, the scopes attribute is assigned directly from params[:scope] with no validation against Doorkeeper.configuration.scopes or optional_scopes. Combined with enforce_configured_scopes being off by default and Doorkeeper's ScopeChecker prioritizing application-level scopes over server-level scopes, this creates a privilege escalation path. This occurs because the Dynamic Client Registration feature creates applications with confidential: false hard-coded, even though the registration response returns a client_secret and advertises support for the client_secret_basic and client_secret_post authentication methods; since Doorkeeper treats a blank or missing secret as valid for non-confidential (public) clients, the secret is never verified. Only projects that have explicitly enabled Dynamic Client Registration, which is disabled by default, are affected. This issue is fixed in version 1.10.0.

  • Aug 25, 2026Nextcloud MCP Server is a production-ready MCP server that connects AI assistants to a Nextcloud instance.CVE-2026-55640 · Other software · cbcoutinho · reported by GitHubCritical 9.1

Nextcloud MCP Server is a production-ready MCP server that connects AI assistants to a Nextcloud instance. Prior to 0.117.2, the POST /webhooks/nextcloud endpoint in nextcloud_mcp_server/vector/webhook_receiver.py has no authentication by default because WEBHOOK_SECRET defaults to None and startup validation does not require it. When WEBHOOK_SECRET is unset, handle_nextcloud_webhook() accepts unauthenticated requests. The payload["user"]["uid"] field parsed in nextcloud_mcp_server/vector/webhook_parser.py is attacker-controlled and is used without an authenticated-session cross-check for Qdrant operations, allowing a network attacker to delete or trigger re-indexing of vector embeddings for any user and to destroy the semantic search index by sending forged deletion events. This issue is fixed in version 0.117.2.

The Hearing Access Service (HAS) GATT server in subsys/bluetooth/audio/has.c installs a connection-callback set unconditionally via BT_CONN_CB_DEFINE, so security_changed() runs for every connection that establishes security even before the application has called bt_has_register(). The service attribute pointers hearing_aid_features_attr, preset_control_point_attr, and active_preset_index_attr remain NULL until bt_has_register() resolves them and sets has.registered. With CONFIG_BT_SETTINGS, settings_set_cb() restores each bonded client's persisted context at boot and unconditionally sets context->flags to BONDED_CLIENT_INIT_FLAGS (non-zero). When a previously bonded peer reconnects and re-establishes security during the startup window before bt_has_register() has been called, security_changed() sees the non-zero flags and schedules notify_work_handler, which calls bt_gatt_is_subscribed() with a still-NULL attribute pointer. That triggers an assertion (__ASSERT(attr, ...) in bt_gatt_is_subscribed()), or a NULL dereference of attr->uuid when assertions are compiled out. The result is a remotely triggerable (Bluetooth, adjacent) crash of the HAS peripheral. Exploitation requires th

The HTTP media server on DJI drones does not enforce sufficient limits on incoming connections or request rates. BentoML's outbound connection safeguard (make_safe_connect in _internal/utils/uri.py) blocks private, loopback, and link-local IP addresses but fails to reject the RFC 6598 shared address space (100.64.0.0/10, CGNAT). In versions 1.4.19 through 1.4.39, an unauthenticated attacker can supply URLs pointing to that range via multipart file handling (MultipartSerde.ensure_file) or JSON request parsing (JSONSerde.parse_request), causing the server to make outbound requests to internal hosts on CGNAT networks (Server-Side Request Forgery). In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: usb: ipheth: fix carrier_work UAF on disconnect ipheth_sndbulk_callback() re-arms the carrier-check work on any non-zero URB status: else schedule_delayed_work(&dev->carrier_work, 0); Nothing ties that to the interface being up, so the work can be armed again after ipheth_close() has already drained it, and stay armed until the netdev whose private area embeds it is freed. On unplug with a TX URB in flight, ipheth_disconnect() drains the work through unregister_netdev() -> ipheth_close() -> cancel_delayed_work_sync() and only then calls ipheth_kill_urbs(). usb_kill_urb() completes the in-flight TX URB with -ENOENT, so ipheth_sndbulk_callback() runs after the drain and re-arms carrier_work. The same completion also re-arms the work if the interface is only brought down while a TX URB is in flight, and ipheth_carrier_check_work() then keeps re-queueing itself once a second. unregister_netdev() does not call ipheth_close() for an already-down interface, so nothing drains it on the later unplug either. In both cases free_netdev() frees the netdev while carrier_work is still pending, and ipheth_carrier_ch

mod_auth_openidc is an OpenID Certified authentication and authorization module for the Apache 2.x HTTP server that implements the OpenID Connect Relying Party functionality. Prior to 2.4.19.4, an out-of-bounds read and a one-byte out-of-bounds write exist in the state-cookie parser of `mod_auth_openidc`. The issue is fixed in version 2.4.19.4 by stopping the scan at the string terminator so a value-less token is rejected. No in-product workarounds are available. As a stop-gap, an upstream reverse proxy or WAF that rejects or normalizes malformed `Cookie` headers (tokens lacking `=`) can reduce exposure, but upgrading is the recommended remediation.
