The AMMOS Instrument Toolkit (Formerly the Bespoke Links to Instruments for Surface and Space (BLISS)) is a Python-based software suite developed to handle Ground Data System (GDS), Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE), commanding, telemetry uplink/downlink, and sequencing for instrument and CubeSat Missions. In versions prior to 2.6.1 and in version 3.1.0, the Binary Stream Capture (BSC) component exposes an unauthenticated HTTP API for dynamically creating packet capture "handlers." Because the code blindly trusts path‑related form fields, a remote client can bypass the configured log root and direct BSC to log to arbitrary filesystem paths (path traversal / directory escape), and append attacker‑controlled data to those files, using the privileges of the`ait-bsc` process. There are two ways for a remote attacker to trigger this. First, if the attacker has access to the network where `ait-bsc` is deployed (a reason for that could be that the ports are publicly accessible), the payloads can be directly sent to the server to trigger the arbitrary file append. This type of attack is demonstrated in `python_poc.py`. Second, even if the attacker does not have direct access to th

Jul 20, 2026VSee Clinic 7.1.26 and VSee Clinic API 1.3.0 exposes cleartext SFTP credentials in the HTTP responses of three unauthenticated endpoints.CVE-2026-13380 · Other software · VSee · reported by 57dba5dd-1a03-47f6-8b36-e84e47d335d8Critical 9
VSee Clinic 7.1.26 and VSee Clinic API 1.3.0 exposes cleartext SFTP credentials in the HTTP responses of three unauthenticated endpoints. The credentials are present in these responses only when SFTP connections have been configured within the application. No authentication is required to retrieve these credentials. An unauthenticated remote attacker who observes any of these HTTP responses on an instance where SFTP is configured can obtain the credentials and use them to access the associated SFTP server.

Jul 20, 2026ExtremeXOS (EXOS) uses a challenge-response mechanism to authorize access to the privileged debug-mode function.CVE-2026-8169 · Other software · Extreme Networks · reported by 1c053176-eef3-4d6a-ae0b-24728c86587bHigh 8.7
ExtremeXOS (EXOS) uses a challenge-response mechanism to authorize access to the privileged debug-mode function. The challenge value is generated using an insufficiently random source, which under certain conditions may allow an attacker to predict the expected response and activate debug-mode without authorization. Depending on device configuration and version, this may enable escalation to root-level access and persistent modification of the device software stack. Exploitation requires either a valid low-privilege account on the device (remote scenario) or physical serial console access (local scenario). This vulnerability is distinct from CVE-2017-14329, which addressed a different issue involving Python script privileges. Extreme would like to thank Hadrien Barral (Université Gustave Eiffel) and Georges-Axel Jaloyan (French Ministry of the Interior) for responsible disclosure of their findings.

Jul 20, 2026Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response.CVE-2026-28220 · Other software · wazuh · reported by GitHubHigh 8.4
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. Prior to version 4.14.5, issues in the Cluster Distributed API (DAPI) handling allow a cluster peer, or any actor able to authenticate to the cluster channel using the shared cluster key, to make the master node deserialize an attacker-controlled callable and execute it under an attacker-controlled RBAC context. The cluster code in `framework/wazuh/core/cluster/common.py` deserializes JSON with `as_wazuh_object()`, which resolves any callable whose top-level package is wazuh or api (an overly broad allowlist controlled only by `ALLOWED_CALLABLES_PACKAGES`), and DAPI requests handled in framework/wazuh/core/cluster/dapi/dapi.py accept a client-supplied rbac_permissions value that `run_local()` applies as the global RBAC context, so supplying an rbac_mode of black causes authorization checks for expose_resources-protected functions to pass without any legitimate permission assignment. Combined, these allow privileged administrative actions on the master node such as arbitrary file writes under WAZUH_PATH, creation of new API users, and tampering with security.yaml, and can be chained into fu

Jul 19, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) reject short block-read responses in the GPIO accessors adm1266_gpiCVE-2026-64083 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus/adm1266) reject short block-read responses in the GPIO accessors adm1266_gpio_get() and adm1266_gpio_get_multiple() both compose the pin-status word as pins_status = read_buf[0] + (read_buf[1] << 8); right after i2c_smbus_read_block_data(), guarding only against an error return. A well-behaved device returns 2 bytes for GPIO_STATUS/PDIO_STATUS, but the helper happily reports a 0- or 1-byte response too. If the device returns 0 bytes, both read_buf slots are uninitialized stack memory; if it returns 1 byte, read_buf[1] is. The composed value then flows through set_bit() into the caller's *bits in adm1266_gpio_get_multiple(), or into the return value of adm1266_gpio_get(), and ends up in userspace via gpiolib (sysfs and the char-dev ioctls). That leaks a few bits of kernel stack per request on any device whose firmware glitch, bus error, or hostile slave produces a short block-read response. Add the missing length check to both call sites and surface a short response as -EIO.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ovpn: respect peer refcount in CMD_NEW_PEER error path ovpn_nl_peer_new_doit()'s error path calls ovpn_peer_release() directly rather than ovpn_peer_put(), bypassing the kref. The accompanying comment ("peer was not yet hashed, thus it is not used in any context") holds for UDP but not for TCP. For UDP, the ovpn_socket union uses the .ovpn arm and never points back at a peer; UDP encap_recv looks up peers via the not-yet-populated hashtables, so the new peer is unreachable until ovpn_peer_add() publishes it. For TCP, ovpn_socket_new() sets ovpn_sock->peer and ovpn_tcp_socket_attach() publishes ovpn_sock via rcu_assign_sk_user_data(). From that moment until ovpn_socket_release() detaches in the error path, the TCP fd is fully wired: userspace recvmsg / sendmsg / close / poll on the fd, as well as the strparser-driven ovpn_tcp_rcv() path, can reach the peer through sk_user_data -> ovpn_sock->peer and bump its refcount via ovpn_peer_hold(). ovpn_tcp_socket_wait_finish() (called inside ovpn_socket_release()) drains strparser and the tx work, but does not synchronize with userspace syscall callers that already hold

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: Check for underflow in xfrm_state_mtu Leo Lin reported OOB write issue in esp component: xfrm_state_mtu() returns u32 but performs its arithmetic in unsigned modulo-2^32 space using an attacker-influenced "header_len + authsize + net_adj" subtracted from a small "mtu" argument. A nobody user can install an IPv4 ESP tunnel SA with a large authentication key (XFRMA_ALG_AUTH_TRUNC, e.g. hmac(sha512), 64-byte key, 64-byte trunc), configure a small interface MTU (68 bytes), and set XFRMA_TFCPAD to a large value. When a single UDP datagram is then sent through the tunnel, xfrm_state_mtu() underflows to a near-2^32 value, and esp_output() consumes it as a signed int via: padto = min(x->tfcpad, xfrm_state_mtu(x, mtu_cached)) esp.tfclen = padto - skb->len (assigned to int) esp.tfclen ends up negative (e.g. -207). It is sign-extended to size_t when passed to memset() inside esp_output_fill_trailer(), producing a ~16 EB write of zeroes at skb_tail_pointer(skb). KASAN logs it as "Write of size 18446744073709551537 at addr ffff888...". Check for underflow and return 1

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ethtool: cmis: require exact CDB reply length Malicious SFP module could respond with rpl_len longer than what cmis_cdb_process_reply() expected, leading to OOB writes. Malicious HW is a bit theoretical but some modules may just be buggy and/or the reads may occasionally get corrupted, so let's protect the kernel. The existing check protects from short replies. We need to protect from long ones, too. All callers that pass a non-zero rpl_exp_len cast the reply payload to a fixed-layout struct and read fields at fixed offsets, with no version negotiation or short-reply handling: - cmis_cdb_validate_password() - cmis_cdb_module_features_get() - cmis_fw_update_fw_mng_features_get() so let's assume that responses longer than expected do not have to be handled gracefully here. Add a warning message to make the debug easier in case my understanding is wrong... Note that page_data->length (argument of kmalloc) comes from last arg to ethtool_cmis_page_init() which is rpl_exp_len. Note2 that AIs also like to point out overflows in args->req.payload itself (which is a fixed-size 120 B buffer, on the stack), but c

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/handshake: Drain pending requests at net namespace exit The arguments to list_splice_init() in handshake_net_exit() are reversed. The call moves the local empty "requests" list onto hn->hn_requests, leaving the local list empty, so the subsequent drain loop runs zero iterations. Pending handshake requests that had not yet been accepted are not torn down when the net namespace is destroyed; each one keeps a reference on a socket file and on the handshake_req allocation. Pass the source and destination in the documented order (list_splice_init(list, head) moves list onto head) so the pending list is transferred to the local scratch list and drained through handshake_complete(). Fixing the splice direction exposes a list-corruption race. After the splice each req->hr_list still has non-empty link pointers, threading the stack-local scratch list rather than hn_requests. A concurrent handshake_req_cancel() -- for example, from sunrpc's TLS timeout on a kernel socket whose netns reference was not taken -- finds the request through the rhashtable, calls remove_pending(), and sees !list_empty(&req->hr_list). __remo

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: esp: restore combined single-frag length gate The ESP out-of-place fast path appends the trailer in esp_output_head() before esp_output_tail() allocates the destination page frag. The head-side gate currently checks skb->data_len and tailen separately, but the tail code allocates a single destination frag from the combined post-trailer skb->data_len. Reject the page-frag fast path when the combined aligned length exceeds a page. Otherwise skb_page_frag_refill() may fall back to a single page while the destination sg still spans the combined skb->data_len. Restore this combined-length page gate for both IPv4 and IPv6.

Jul 16, 2026Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response.CVE-2026-40106 · Other software · wazuh · reported by GitHubMedium 4.7
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. Versions 4.6.0 and above prior to 4.14.5 contain a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the syscheck component of the Wazuh agent for Windows. When expanding registry paths containing wildcards (* or ?), the agent allocates a fixed-size heap buffer of 256 bytes (OS_SIZE_256). By creating a registry subkey with a maximum allowed length (255 characters) inside a monitored path, a low-privileged local attacker can force an out-of-bounds write during string concatenation. Since wazuh-agent.exe runs as NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, this can lead to a silent Denial of Service (blinding the agent) or potentially Local Privilege Escalation (LPE). Jul 16, 2026Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response.CVE-2026-39359 · Other software · wazuh · reported by GitHubHigh 7.5
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.10.3 and 4.11.0 through 4.14.4, a logic flaw affects the Wazuh Manager's enrollment daemon (authd) and synchronization daemon (remoted). The authd process allows agents to select a group during enrollment but does not filter path traversal sequences such as "..." While the manager checks for the group directory using wopendir(), the ".." sequence references the parent directory (/var/ossec/etc), allowing it to pass validation. After the malicious group is accepted and stored in the manager's global database, the remoted process uses this unchecked value to build paths for agent configuration synchronization. As a result, sensitive files from /var/ossec/etc, such as client.keys, ossec.conf, and internal certificates, are included in the agent's shared configuration stream and exposed to the attacker. Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. In versions 1.0.0 and above, prior to 4.14.5, a heap buffer overflow in wazuh-analysisd allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the Wazuh manager's analysis engine, causing complete loss of SIEM alert processing. The attack exploits the default configuration shipped in the official wazuh/wazuh-docker deployment with default configuration. An attacker can enroll with authd without a password to obtain a valid agent ID and encryption key, connect to remoted over the Wazuh agent protocol, and inject rootcheck events containing {key: value} patterns longer than 30 bytes that trigger a sprintf overflow of a 30-byte buffer in W_JSON_ParseRootcheck, corrupting the heap and crashing wazuh-analysisd so that all alert processing silently stops while the dashboard and API keep showing stale data.

This issue has been fixed in version 4.14.5.

Jul 16, 2026Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response.CVE-2026-33434 · Other software · wazuh · reported by GitHubMedium 4.3
Wazuh is a free and open source platform used for threat prevention, detection, and response. In versions 4.6.0 and above, prior to 4.14.5, a logic error in CheckRateLimitsMiddleware.dispatch() causes the /events endpoint rate check to unconditionally overwrite the general rate limit result. When the global max_request_per_minute is exceeded, requests to /events still succeed if the events-specific counter (hardcoded 30/min) has not been reached. This allows event injection into analysisd beyond the admin-configured global rate limit. This issue has been fixed in version 4.14.5.

Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests (HTTP response smuggling) vulnerability in elixir-mint mint allows a malicious HTTP/1 server to desynchronize a strict intermediary and the Mint client on the same pooled connection, enabling response-queue poisoning against subsequent requests that share the connection. The Mint.HTTP1.decode_body/5 function in lib/mint/http1.ex parses the chunk-size line of a Transfer-Encoding: chunked response with Integer.parse(data, 16). RFC 7230 defines chunk-size = 1*HEXDIG and forbids any sign prefix, but Integer.parse/2 accepts an optional leading + or -. A chunk-size line of +5 is accepted as a five-byte chunk; lines of +0 and -0 are accepted as the terminating zero-length chunk and end the message body early. An RFC-strict intermediary in the response path rejects these forms, so the intermediary and the Mint client disagree on where one response ends and the next begins. On a pooled keep-alive connection, an attacker-influenced origin can inject bytes that the client attributes to the next legitimate response on the same connection, poisoning the response queue and corrupting the responses returned to unrelated in-flight requests.
