  • Apr 3, 2026FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications.CVE-2026-27124 · Other software · jlowin · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications. Prior to version 3.2.0, while testing the GitHubProvider OAuth integration, which allows authentication to a FastMCP MCP server via a FastMCP OAuthProxy using GitHub OAuth, it was discovered that the FastMCP OAuthProxy does not properly validate the user's consent upon receiving the authorization code from GitHub. In combination with GitHub’s behavior of skipping the consent page for previously authorized clients, this introduces a Confused Deputy vulnerability. This issue has been patched in version 3.2.0.

  • Apr 3, 2026FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications.CVE-2025-64340 · Other software · jlowin · reported by GitHubMedium 6.7

FastMCP is the standard framework for building MCP applications. Prior to version 3.2.0, server names containing shell metacharacters (e.g., &) can cause command injection on Windows when passed to fastmcp install claude-code or fastmcp install gemini-cli. These install paths use subprocess.run() with a list argument, but on Windows the target CLIs often resolve to .cmd wrappers that are executed through cmd.exe, which interprets metacharacters in the flattened command string. This issue has been patched in version 3.2.0.

  • Apr 2, 2026The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json.CVE-2026-34742 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubHigh 7.6

The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json. Prior to version 1.4.0, the Model Context Protocol (MCP) Go SDK does not enable DNS rebinding protection by default for HTTP-based servers. When an HTTP-based MCP server is run on localhost without authentication with StreamableHTTPHandler or SSEHandler, a malicious website could exploit DNS rebinding to bypass same-origin policy restrictions and send requests to the local MCP server. This could allow an attacker to invoke tools or access resources exposed by the MCP server on behalf of the user in those limited circumstances. This issue has been patched in version 1.4.0.

  • Apr 2, 2026FastMCP is a Pythonic way to build MCP servers and clients.CVE-2026-32871 · Other software · PrefectHQ · reported by GitHubCritical 10

FastMCP is a Pythonic way to build MCP servers and clients. Prior to version 3.2.0, the OpenAPIProvider in FastMCP exposes internal APIs to MCP clients by parsing OpenAPI specifications. The RequestDirector class is responsible for constructing HTTP requests to the backend service. A vulnerability exists in the _build_url() method. When an OpenAPI operation defines path parameters (e.g., /api/v1/users/{user_id}), the system directly substitutes parameter values into the URL template string without URL-encoding. Subsequently, urllib.parse.urljoin() resolves the final URL. Since urljoin() interprets ../ sequences as directory traversal, an attacker controlling a path parameter can perform path traversal attacks to escape the intended API prefix and access arbitrary backend endpoints. This results in authenticated SSRF, as requests are sent with the authorization headers configured in the MCP provider. This issue has been patched in version 3.2.0.

Azure Data Explorer MCP Server is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables AI assistants to execute KQL queries and explore Azure Data Explorer (ADX/Kusto) databases through standardized interfaces. Versions up to and including 0.1.1 contain KQL (Kusto Query Language) injection vulnerabilities in three MCP tool handlers: `get_table_schema`, `sample_table_data`, and `get_table_details`. The `table_name` parameter is interpolated directly into KQL queries via f-strings without any validation or sanitization, allowing an attacker (or a prompt-injected AI agent) to execute arbitrary KQL queries against the Azure Data Explorer cluster. Commit 0abe0ee55279e111281076393e5e966335fffd30 patches the issue.

  • Mar 25, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: mcp251x: fix deadlock in error path of mcp251x_open The mcp251x_open() function call CVE-2026-23357 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: can: mcp251x: fix deadlock in error path of mcp251x_open The mcp251x_open() function call free_irq() in its error path with the mpc_lock mutex held. But if an interrupt already occurred the interrupt handler will be waiting for the mpc_lock and free_irq() will deadlock waiting for the handler to finish. This issue is similar to the one fixed in commit 7dd9c26bd6cf ("can: mcp251x: fix deadlock if an interrupt occurs during mcp251x_open") but for the error path. To solve this issue move the call to free_irq() after the lock is released. Setting `priv->force_quit = 1` beforehand ensure that the IRQ handler will exit right away once it acquired the lock.

  • Mar 23, 2026The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json.CVE-2026-33252 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubHigh 7.1

The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json. Prior to version 1.4.1, the Go SDK's Streamable HTTP transport accepted browser-generated cross-site `POST` requests without validating the `Origin` header and without requiring `Content-Type: application/json`. In deployments without Authorization, especially stateless or sessionless configurations, this allows an arbitrary website to send MCP requests to a local server and potentially trigger tool execution. • Mar 20, 2026mcp-memory-service is an open-source memory backend for multi-agent systems.CVE-2026-33010 · Other software · doobidoo · reported by GitHubHigh 8.1

mcp-memory-service is an open-source memory backend for multi-agent systems. Prior to version 10.25.1, when the HTTP server is enabled (MCP_HTTP_ENABLED=true), the application configures FastAPI's CORSMiddleware with allow_origins=['*'], allow_credentials=True, allow_methods=["*"], and allow_headers=["*"]. The wildcard Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * header permits any website to read API responses cross-origin. When combined with anonymous access (MCP_ALLOW_ANONYMOUS_ACCESS=true) - the simplest way to get the HTTP dashboard working without OAuth - no credentials are needed, so any malicious website can silently read, modify, and delete all stored memories. • Mar 20, 2026CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals.CVE-2026-33060 · Other software · ondata · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

CKAN MCP Server is a tool for querying CKAN open data portals. Versions prior to 0.4.85 provide tools including ckan_package_search and sparql_query that accept a base_url parameter, making HTTP requests to arbitrary endpoints without restriction. A CKAN portal client has no legitimate reason to contact cloud metadata or internal network services. There is no URL validation on base_url parameter. No private IP blocking (RFC 1918, link-local 169.254.x.x), no cloud metadata blocking. The sparql_query and ckan_datastore_search_sql tools also accept arbitrary base URLs and expose injection surfaces. An attack can lead to internal network scanning, cloud metadata theft (IAM credentials via IMDS at 169.254.169.254), potential SQL/SPARQL injection via unsanitized query parameters. Attack requires prompt injection to control the base_url parameter. This issue has been fixed in version 0.4.85.

An attacker who can reach the OAuth endpoint and convince the server operator to follow a crafted authorization URL could execute JavaScript in the operator's browser. This affects only users running the beta OAuth mode (ha-mcp-oauth), which is not part of the standard setup and requires explicit configuration. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.

  • Mar 11, 2026ha-mcp is a Home Assistant MCP Server.CVE-2026-32111 · Other software · homeassistant-ai · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

ha-mcp is a Home Assistant MCP Server. Prior to 7.0.0, the ha-mcp OAuth consent form (beta feature) accepts a user-supplied ha_url and makes a server-side HTTP request to {ha_url}/api/config with no URL validation. An unauthenticated attacker can submit arbitrary URLs to perform internal network reconnaissance via an error oracle. Two additional code paths in OAuth tool calls (REST and WebSocket) are affected by the same primitive. The primary deployment method (private URL with pre-configured HOMEASSISTANT_TOKEN) is not affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 7.0.0.

  • Mar 10, 2026MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira).CVE-2026-27825 · Other software · sooperset · reported by GitHubCritical 9

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to version 0.17.0, the `confluence_download_attachment` MCP tool accepts a `download_path` parameter that is written to without any directory boundary enforcement. An attacker who can call this tool and supply or access a Confluence attachment with malicious content can write arbitrary content to any path the server process has write access to. Because the attacker controls both the write destination and the written content (via an uploaded Confluence attachment), this constitutes for arbitrary code execution (for example, writing a valid cron entry to `/etc/cron.d/` achieves code execution within one scheduler cycle with no server restart required). Version 0.17.0 fixes the issue.

  • Mar 10, 2026MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira).CVE-2026-27826 · Other software · sooperset · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

MCP Atlassian is a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for Atlassian products (Confluence and Jira). Prior to version 0.17.0, an unauthenticated attacker who can reach the mcp-atlassian HTTP endpoint can force the server process to make outbound HTTP requests to an arbitrary attacker-controlled URL by supplying two custom HTTP headers without an `Authorization` header. No authentication is required. The vulnerability exists in the HTTP middleware and dependency injection layer — not in any MCP tool handler - making it invisible to tool-level code analysis. In cloud deployments, this could enable theft of IAM role credentials via the instance metadata endpoint (`169[.]254[.]169[.]254`). In any HTTP deployment it enables internal network reconnaissance and injection of attacker-controlled content into LLM tool results. Version 0.17.0 fixes the issue.

  • Mar 7, 2026mcp-memory-service is an open-source memory backend for multi-agent systems.CVE-2026-29787 · Other software · doobidoo · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

mcp-memory-service is an open-source memory backend for multi-agent systems. Prior to version 10.21.0, the /api/health/detailed endpoint returns detailed system information including OS version, Python version, CPU count, memory totals, disk usage, and the full database filesystem path. When MCP_ALLOW_ANONYMOUS_ACCESS=true is set (required for the HTTP server to function without OAuth/API key), this endpoint is accessible without authentication. Combined with the default 0.0.0.0 binding, this exposes sensitive reconnaissance data to the entire network. This issue has been patched in version 10.21.0.

  • Feb 25, 2026The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json.Unmarshal for JSON-RPC and MCP protocol message parsing in versions prior to 1.3.1.CVE-2026-27896 · Other software · modelcontextprotocol · reported by GitHubHigh 7

The Go MCP SDK used Go's standard encoding/json.Unmarshal for JSON-RPC and MCP protocol message parsing in versions prior to 1.3.1. Go's standard library performs case-insensitive matching of JSON keys to struct field tags — a field tagged json:"method" would also match "Method", "METHOD", etc. This violated the JSON-RPC 2.0 specification, which defines exact field names. A malicious MCP peer may have been able to send protocol messages with non-standard field casing that the SDK would silently accept. This had the potential for bypassing intermediary inspection and coss-implementation inconsistency. Go's standard JSON unmarshaling was replaced with a case-sensitive decoder in commit 7b8d81c. Users are advised to update to v1.3.1 to resolve this issue.

Model Context Protocol Servers is a collection of reference implementations for the model context protocol (MCP). In mcp-server-git versions prior to 2026.1.14, the git_add tool did not validate that file paths provided in the files argument were within the repository boundaries. Because the tool used GitPython's repo.index.add() rather than the Git CLI, relative paths containing `../` sequences that resolve outside the repository were accepted and staged into the Git index. Users are advised to upgrade to 2026.1.14 or newer to remediate this issue.

eBay API MCP Server is an open source local MCP server providing AI assistants with comprehensive access to eBay's Sell APIs. All versions are vulnerable to Environment Variable Injection through the updateEnvFile function. The ebay_set_user_tokens tool allows updating the .env file with new tokens. The updateEnvFile function in src/auth/oauth.ts blindly appends or replaces values without validating them for newlines or quotes. This allows an attacker to inject arbitrary environment variables into the configuration file. An attacker can inject arbitrary environment variables into the .env file. This could lead to configuration overwrites, Denial of Service, and potential RCE. There was no fix for this issue at the time of publication.
