In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an unauthenticated user with access to encrypted credential data from an affected Splunk SOAR instance could submit Basic authentication data to the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to expose and decrypt that encrypted credential data. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR decrypts encrypted Basic authentication values before completing authentication checks. The attack requires the unauthenticated user to have encrypted credential data from an affected Splunk SOAR instance. The unauthenticated user should not be able to exploit the vulnerability at will. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.5.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API aCVE-2026-76308 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.5
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user could change the Enterprise Security edition through the Representational State Transfer (REST) API and cause Splunk SOAR to apply the license change. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR authenticates requests to manage the Enterprise Security edition but does not authorize the caller before it applies the license change. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.7.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Obtain and configure a Splunk SOAR (On-premises) license (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.7.0/configure-your-companys-settings-in-splunk-soar-on-premises/obtain-and-configure-a-splunk-soar-on-premises-license), and Integration of Splunk SOAR with Splunk Enterprise Security (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise-security-8/administer/8.7/automation-with-playbooks/integration-of-splunk-soar-with-splunk-enterprise-security) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the Users and Roles view permission could use the Representational State Transfer (REST) API CVE-2026-76307 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comHigh 7.2
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the Users and Roles view permission could use the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to infer authentication token values for other users. If the inferred token grants administrative access, that user could gain administrative access to the Splunk SOAR instance. The vulnerability is possible because the REST API accepts caller-controlled query filters on sensitive user record fields. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Query for Data (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/query-for-data), and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/6.4.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that has the "Observer" role could use query filters in the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to infer password hashes and authorization tokens for other users. The information disclosure is possible because Splunk SOAR applies REST API query filters to user records before it protects sensitive fields from query processing. For more information see Using the REST API reference for Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/8.5.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/using-the-rest-api-reference-for-splunk-soar-on-premises), Query for Data (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/rest-api-reference/7.1.0/using-the-splunk-soar-rest-api/query-for-data), and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.5.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to view apps could download an archive of an installed app.CVE-2026-76305 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 6.5
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to view apps could download an archive of an installed app. This could expose all data in the app archive, including proprietary source code and sensitive information. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR does not verify permission to view apps before it returns the app archive. For more information see Export or import an app (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/develop-apps/8.4.0/develop-an-app-using-the-splunk-soar-app-wizard/export-or-import-an-app) and Manage roles and permissions in Splunk SOAR (On-premises) (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/8.5.0/manage-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-users-and-accounts/manage-roles-and-permissions-in-splunk-soar-on-premises) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, an authenticated user who does not hold a role with permission to edit Automation Brokers could download the Splunk SOAR Automation Broker Docker Compose configuration file. The file contains the Uniform Resource Locator (URL) of the Splunk SOAR instance, the container image location, and the Splunk SOAR Automation Broker version. Oct 21, 2026In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the install_apps capability could store attacker-controlled content that Splunk SOAR displaysCVE-2026-76303 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comMedium 5.7
In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.7.0, a user that holds a role with the install_apps capability could store attacker-controlled content that Splunk SOAR displays in app documentation by installing an app. If another user who holds a role with permission to view apps opens the app documentation, Splunk SOAR could run that content in the browser of the user who opened the app documentation. With this access, the first user could access data and make changes that the user who opened the app documentation could make. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR does not sanitize app documentation content before it displays that content. The vulnerability requires the attacker to phish the affected user by tricking them into initiating a request within their browser. In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.4, 10.2.8, and 10.0.11, an unauthenticated user could send repeated requests to the Edge Processor package download endpoint in the Splunk Pipeline Builders app. The requests could cause the Splunk daemon to consume excessive system resources and potentially stop responding. The vulnerability is possible because the endpoint accepts package download requests without authentication and reads and base64-encodes the complete package in memory for each request. After upgrading, prepare all existing Edge Processor instances, turn on authentication for Edge Processor package downloads, and restart Splunk Enterprise. Missing Authentication for Critical Function (CWE-306) and Insufficiently Protected Credentials (CWE-522) in the control plane enrollment status handler (HandleEnrollStatus at GET /enroll/status in internal/controlplane/server.go) in Google OSS Agent Mesh (SAM) versions 0.1.0-alpha.1 through 0.1.0-alpha.8 allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to retrieve an approved bootstrap-enrolled peer's signed Biscuit identity token by supplying a peer_id obtainable from the unauthenticated GET /info endpoint. A related flaw in POST /enroll allowed any bootstrap-token holder to re-fetch another peer's credential. An attacker can replay the disclosed Biscuit token as a bearer credential on /policies to read mesh authorization policies and on /routers/lease to overwrite advertised router multiaddrs. Users should upgrade to version 0.1.0-alpha.9 or later, which requires cryptographic proof of possession of the enrollment private key on credential-releasing endpoints, enforces rate limiting, and validates router lease addresses.

Oct 21, 2026Net::LibSSH versions before 0.004 for Perl authenticate to an unverified server because connect never checks the host key against known_hosts.CVE-2026-94423 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1
Net::LibSSH versions before 0.004 for Perl authenticate to an unverified server because connect never checks the host key against known_hosts. connect reports success as soon as ssh_connect returns SSH_OK. libssh leaves the known-hosts check to the application, and this binding never makes it, so the strict_hostkeycheck and knownhosts options are set on the session and then decide nothing. Password, agent and public-key authentication, channel and SFTP operations all run on a session whose peer was never identified, so an attacker who can redirect the connection receives the password when password authentication is used, and commands and data sent over the session.

Oct 21, 2026Rex versions through 1.16.1 for Perl accept an unknown SSH host key for remote rsync transfers because sync hardcodes StrictHostKeyChecking=no.CVE-2026-94140 · Other software · reported by 9b29abf9-4ab0-4765-b253-1875cd9b441eCritical 9.1
Rex versions through 1.16.1 for Perl accept an unknown SSH host key for remote rsync transfers because sync hardcodes StrictHostKeyChecking=no. Every remote branch of sync builds its ssh command with that option, for password authentication, for private-key authentication and for the fallback. The ssh options a caller sets through set_openssh_opt reach the OpenSSH transport but not this command, so there is no configuration that restores host key checking for the transfer. An attacker who can redirect the connection before the real host key is known presents their own and the transfer proceeds: under password authentication sync sends the connection password to that server, an upload writes the selected local files to it, and a download writes what it returns to the local destination.

Oct 21, 2026Pillow is a Python imaging library.CVE-2026-114501 · Other software · python-pillow · reported by GitHubMedium 6.3
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 11.2.1 until 13.0.0, Arrow export assumes that an image's rows are tightly contiguous and exports from im->blocks[0].ptr even when PILLOW_ALIGNMENT makes aligned_linesize include row padding or an aligned offset before the first row.
