In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: time/namespace: Validate nanosecond field in proc_timens_set_offset() The function validates tv_sec to be within [-KTIME_SEC_MAX, KTIME_SEC_MAX] but never validates that tv_nsec is within the valid range of [0, NSEC_PER_SEC-1] before using it in timespec64_add(). timespec64_add() expects both timespec64 structures to have normalized values with tv_nsec in the range [0, 999999999]. If off->val.tv_nsec contains invalid values (negative or >= NSEC_PER_SEC), it could lead to incorrect calculations or unexpected behavior. Add validation to ensure tv_nsec is within the valid range before performing the addition.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: fix double completion race in nci_data_exchange_complete nci_close_device() and CVE-2026-90224 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfc: nci: fix double completion race in nci_data_exchange_complete nci_close_device() and nci_rx_work can both call nci_data_exchange_complete() concurrently. After commit 4527025d440ce8 ("nfc: nci: fix circular locking dependency in nci_close_device") moved flush_workqueue(ndev->rx_wq) after mutex_unlock(&ndev->req_lock), rx_work is no longer serialized with the explicit completion call in the close path. Both callers read the non-NULL callback pointer and invoke rawsock_data_exchange_complete(), which calls sock_put() -- but only one sock_hold() was taken, so the second sock_put() underflows the refcount and frees the socket while it is still in use. Replace the bare clear_bit(NCI_DATA_EXCHANGE) with test_and_clear_bit() so that only the first caller proceeds to invoke the callback.

  • Sep 17, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: serialize oplock close with pending break ownership close may abort an in-flight opCVE-2026-90167 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: serialize oplock close with pending break ownership close may abort an in-flight oplock break while another breaker already holds an opinfo reference. Releasing pending_break wakes that waiter, but without serializing the close transition with bit acquisition it can become a new break owner through the test_and_set_bit() fast path. It can then overwrite OPLOCK_CLOSING with OPLOCK_ACK_WAIT and continue a break for a dying opinfo. Make OPLOCK_CLOSING terminal once the opinfo is removed from the inode list. Serialize that transition, pending_break acquisition, and OPLOCK_ACK_WAIT setup with an opinfo state lock. A breaker which loses the race releases its ownership and returns -ENOENT. Explicitly wake pending_break waiters during close so they can observe the terminal state. Also prevent ACK and timeout paths from replacing OPLOCK_CLOSING with OPLOCK_STATE_NONE.

  • Sep 17, 2026Initializing the DNS stub resolver from an /etc/resolv.conf file, or a LOCALDOMAIN environment variable, whose search list contains a domain of roughly 200 charCVE-2026-8674 · Other software · The GNU C Library · reported by 3ff69d7a-14f2-4f67-a097-88dee7810d18Medium 5.3

Initializing the DNS stub resolver from an /etc/resolv.conf file, or a LOCALDOMAIN environment variable, whose search list contains a domain of roughly 200 characters or more in the GNU C Library version 2.26 to 2.44 results in an assertion failure which aborts the process. The resolver truncates the search list when copying it into the fixed-size _res.defdname buffer, then asserts that the copy is consistent with the full configuration. The consistency check compared against the wrong size and did not handle a first entry that does not fit, so a correctly truncated list failed the assertion. Any process that resolves names through the library is affected, including long-running processes that reload /etc/resolv.conf on the next query after it changes. Search domains are commonly written to /etc/resolv.conf from data received over DHCP or from a VPN server, so an attacker on the local network may be able to trigger this without privileges on the target system, subject to validation by the network configuration software.

  • Sep 17, 2026vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose the host process's real https.globalAgent to sandboxed code when a NodeVM is explicitly configured to allow require('hCVE-2026-92940 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckCritical 10

vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose the host process's real https.globalAgent to sandboxed code when a NodeVM is explicitly configured to allow require('https'). The builtin loader wraps host modules in a read-only proxy, but method calls such as Agent.prototype.on() are forwarded to the underlying host object, so sandbox code can register a listener for the agent's 'free' event. When an unrelated host HTTPS request releases a pooled connection, the listener receives the live host request options and the host TLSSocket, allowing sandboxed code to read the host's Authorization header and private destination host/port, attach a data listener to the released socket and read subsequent host response bodies in plaintext, and issue attacker-chosen authenticated requests using the stolen credentials. The issue is fixed in 3.11.7.

  • Sep 17, 2026vm2 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 exposes the host Node.js crypto module to a NodeVM sandbox when the crypto builtin is allowed.CVE-2026-92939 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.4

vm2 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 exposes the host Node.js crypto module to a NodeVM sandbox when the crypto builtin is allowed. The module is presented via a recursive read-only proxy, but its callable exports still execute with host-process authority. Sandboxed JavaScript can therefore call crypto.setEngine() with a filesystem path to an attacker-supplied native library (for example, one bundled in an untrusted plugin package already written to disk); OpenSSL asks the operating-system dynamic loader to load the file, and the library's constructor executes native code in the host process before engine-symbol validation rejects it. Exploitation requires only the crypto builtin and does not require fs, process, module, child_process, worker_threads, vm, or inspector access, resulting in a sandbox escape and arbitrary native code execution. Fixed in 3.11.7.

  • Sep 17, 2026vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose Node.js's host node:sqlite module to code running in NodeVM when that builtin is permitted, either explicitly or throuCVE-2026-92938 · Other software · patriksimek · reported by VulnCheckCritical 9.4

vm2 versions 3.11.3 through 3.11.6 expose Node.js's host node:sqlite module to code running in NodeVM when that builtin is permitted, either explicitly or through builtin: ['*']. The module is wrapped with vm.readonly(), which prevents property assignment but leaves host-authority callables reachable; in addition, the resolver treats any request starting with 'node:' as a core-module request and the runtime strips only one 'node:' prefix, so a sandbox request for 'node:node:sqlite' resolves to the configured node:sqlite entry. Sandboxed code can therefore create an in-memory DatabaseSync with extension loading enabled and call DatabaseSync.loadExtension() on a native library bundled in the untrusted plugin package (path derived from __dirname). SQLite loads the library into the Node.js host process and invokes its native entry point, giving the sandboxed plugin arbitrary native code execution outside the sandbox with the host process's privileges. The issue is fixed in vm2 3.11.7.

Nodemailer versions >= 6.9.16 and < 9.1.0 mis-parse RFC 5322 comments in email addresses: in lib/addressparser, a comment closed immediately before a non-break character causes the tokenizer to concatenate the atoms surrounding the comment instead of treating the comment as folding whitespace that terminates the domain. A recipient address such as user@good-corp.com(x)evil.com is therefore read by Nodemailer as the single domain good-corp.comevil.com (registrable domain comevil.com, which an attacker can register) and used for both the SMTP envelope (RCPT TO) and the emitted To:/From: headers, while a conformant RFC 5322 parser terminates the domain at the comment and reads good-corp.com. An application that validates the recipient domain with a strict RFC 5322 parser (without inspecting parse defects) or a naive prefix/substring allow-list and then hands the raw address to Nodemailer can be induced to deliver mail to a domain the attacker controls. • Sep 16, 2026Composer is a dependency Manager for the PHP language.CVE-2026-59944 · Other software · composer · reported by GitHubMedium 6.1

Composer is a dependency Manager for the PHP language. From 1.0 until 2.2.30 and from 2.3.0 until 2.10.3, a malicious or compromised dependency can bypass the earlier CVE-2026-59946 binary-path hardening because Composer validates literal parent-directory segments only during dependency resolution, while the symlink and installed-metadata paths described by the advisory skip that validation. A package can ship an in-package binary symlink that resolves outside its installation directory, or attacker-influenced vendor/composer/installed.json metadata can provide an escaping binary path during a reinstall or regeneration of missing vendor/bin entries. The installed-metadata path is reachable only when the vendor directory was not populated by the same validated install run, such as when it is restored from an untrusted cache, copied from an earlier build stage, carried over from an older Composer run, or writable by a lower-trust build step. Composer can follow the path, change the external target's permissions to make it world-readable and executable, and create a runnable vendor/bin proxy to that external file. The issue does not directly read or transmit data and does not by itsel

  • Sep 16, 2026@fastify/auth is a Fastify plugin that composes multiple authentication and authorization strategies into a single route guard.CVE-2026-92087 · Other software · @fastify/auth · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 8.1

@fastify/auth is a Fastify plugin that composes multiple authentication and authorization strategies into a single route guard. In versions 5.0.0 through 5.1.0, when strategies are composed with the relation "or" option together with the run "all" option and one entry is a nested array acting as an AND group, the group is evaluated in an order-dependent way: an earlier failing check is silently dropped and the group's result becomes the outcome of its last check. As a result, a request that satisfies only the last member of an AND group, for example an attacker who holds a valid API key but is not an administrator, is authorized instead of rejected, and a related order-dependent bypass affects the mirror configuration where the top-level relation is "and" and a nested group uses "or". The issue is fixed in @fastify/auth 5.1.1, and users should upgrade to 5.1.1 or later. As a workaround, omit the run "all" option where it is not required, order each AND group so its stricter check is evaluated last, or replace nested AND groups with an explicit top-level "and" composition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFSD: Prevent client use-after-free during close_lru reaping An nfs4_openowner left on nn->close_lru after its final CLOSE keeps its last closed stateid in oo_last_closed_stid, holding only a raw pointer to its nfs4_client. The laundromat reaps timed-out entries, drops nn->client_lock, and calls nfs4_put_stid(), which dereferences the client through cl_lock. Nothing pins the client across that window, so a concurrent force_expire_client() can free it and nfs4_put_stid() reads freed memory. __destroy_client() hits the same race, walking clp->cl_openowners without cl_lock. Pin the client with cl_rpc_users before dropping client_lock, and skip clients already expiring. __destroy_client() then cleans up its own close_lru entries through release_last_closed_stateid(), so teardown no longer races the laundromat.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvdimm/btt: reject an arena whose nfree is below the lane count The BTT info block's nfree field, the number of reserve free blocks, is read from the medium without validation. btt_freelist_init() and btt_rtt_init() size the per-lane freelist[] and rtt[] arrays by nfree, but the I/O path indexes them by the lane from nd_region_acquire_lane(), which is bounded by nd_region->num_lanes (ND_MAX_LANES), not by nfree. A crafted or foreign arena whose nfree is below the lane count makes freelist[lane]/rtt[lane] run past the allocation: an out-of-bounds write. btt.rst documents the nlanes = min(nfree, num_cpus) invariant, which the code does not currently honor: num_lanes is ND_MAX_LANES regardless of nfree. Reject an arena whose nfree is below num_lanes at discovery, before the per-lane arrays are allocated, enforcing that invariant.

`tts-be` is a backend for a timetable selector that aims to help students better choose their class schedules. Versions prior to 2.1.0 have a Broken Access Control vulnerability across several API endpoints (such as `/api/student/{id}/photo` and `/api/course_unit/{id}/exchange/metadata`). By chaining these unauthenticated endpoints, a remote attacker can use the backend as an open proxy to bypass authorization checks, allowing for the enumeration and extraction of sensitive Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from upstream university systems. The exposed data includes full names, student IDs, class schedules, and photos. This issue was fixed in version 2.1.0.

  • Sep 15, 2026GitHacker is a tool that restores Git repositories from exposed .git directories.CVE-2026-50024 · Other software · WangYihang · reported by GitHubMedium 5.3

GitHacker is a tool that restores Git repositories from exposed .git directories. In 1.1.7 and earlier, add_head_file_tasks parses an attacker-controlled ref path from .git/HEAD and joins unvalidated path segments onto temp_dst/.git/logs/, allowing a malicious server to make GitHacker read an arbitrary local file when a victim runs the tool against the server's URL. add_hashes_parsed then scans the file for 40-character hexadecimal substrings and requests each match through .git/objects using the first two characters and remaining characters as path components, creating an attacker-observable existence oracle and disclosing matching hexadecimal fragments. Complete file contents are not returned, and the add_folder and add_task write path in shipped version 1.1.7 does not permit an escape. This issue is fixed in repository version 1.1.9.
