  • Oct 20, 2026When processing an HTTP redirect to a URL containing userinfo (a `username:password` component), curl might erroneously retain and re-transmit the original hostCVE-2026-94265 · Other software · curl · reported by 2499f714-1537-4658-8207-48ae4bb9eae9Critical 9.1

When processing an HTTP redirect to a URL containing userinfo (a `username:password` component), curl might erroneously retain and re-transmit the original host's HTTP Negotiate authentication state. Consequently, a malicious server can trigger a redirect containing arbitrary userinfo to force curl to send a freshly minted Kerberos ticket—generated using the ambient identity of the client process to an untrusted third-party host, effectively bypassing the domain-scoping restrictions normally enforced by the absence of `--location-trusted`.

When an FTP wildcard `LIST` operation fails, libcurl omits the restoration path meant for successful listings, leaving the write callback set to the internal listing parser and the write callback data pointing directly to the easy handle. Subsequent reuse of this handle triggers an immediate crash, and cloning it via `curl_easy_duphandle()` copies this corrupted state into the duplicate. If the original handle is subsequently freed, executing a transfer on the cloned handle causes a heap use-after-free read against the dangling handle reference; alternatively, reusing the original or cloned handle while changing only `CURLOPT_WRITEDATA` (and omitting `CURLOPT_WRITEFUNCTION`) results in type confusion, forcing the internal parser to interpret incoming server response bytes into memory at the application-supplied write data pointer.

When built with wolfSSL, curl can successfully validate a pinned public key hash against a key the TLS peer does not possess. During the TLS handshake, wolfSSL validates the connection, but curl's subsequent re-parsing of the same certificate - tricked by a manipulated validity length field - extracts and matches a different embedded key, incorrectly authorizing the pinned public key.

  • Oct 20, 2026@fastify/middie is the Express-style middleware engine for Fastify.CVE-2026-112712 · Other software · @fastify/middie · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbCritical 9.1

@fastify/middie is the Express-style middleware engine for Fastify. In versions from 9.0.0 through 9.3.5, the use() function joined a path-scoped middleware's mount path to the plugin scope prefix in a way that could diverge from the path Fastify's router serves, most often when the scope prefix ended in a slash, and also for array mount paths and for mount paths written without a leading slash. When the two paths disagreed, the middleware was silently skipped while the route handler still ran, so path-scoped middleware such as authentication, authorization, or rate limiting could be bypassed by a single unauthenticated request. The issue is fixed in @fastify/middie 9.3.6, and users should upgrade to 9.3.6 or later. As a workaround, enforce authorization in a Fastify hook such as preHandler that runs after the router has resolved the request.

An `ftp://` transfer configured with `CURLUSESSL_NONE` can reuse a pooled FTP control connection that a previous easy handle upgraded with `STARTTLS` and authenticated using a client certificate. Thunderbird did not escape attribute values when serializing outgoing XMPP stanzas. Because values from incoming requests were echoed back in automatic replies, a remote XMPP user could send a crafted request that caused Thunderbird to inject arbitrary stanzas into the user's connection, which the server would then process as if sent by the user. This could be used to send messages or change contact and subscription settings on behalf of the user, without any interaction. This bug only affects Thunderbird's chat feature with XMPP accounts. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 158.0.1 and Thunderbird 153.5.1.

  • Oct 20, 2026Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-113709 · Other software · argoproj · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9

Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. From 2.1.0 until 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2, when an operator has enabled --enable-helm for kustomize build, helmGlobals.configHome can point Helm's config and data directories at a repository-controlled location. Helm automatically loads a downloader plugin from `<configHome>/.data/plugins` without a separate plugin-install step and executes its program inside argocd-repo-server when a helmCharts repository URL uses the plugin's protocol. The command runs as the repo-server user and can read repository credentials and other process-accessible data. An attacker can commit the Kustomization and plugin to a Git repository that an Application builds or upload the files through POST /api/v1/applications/manifestsWithFiles, also exposed by argocd app diff --local --server-side-generate. The upload path requires only Application get permission on an existing Application, without Application update or sync permission or repository write access. Both delivery paths require prior operator enablement of --enable-helm; deployments that do not enable it are not affected. Kustomize 4.1.0 first passed helmGlobals

  • Oct 20, 2026Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes.CVE-2026-113708 · Other software · argoproj · reported by GitHubCritical 9.9

Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. From 2.7.0 until 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2, Kustomize passes ref or version query values from remote resource, base, or component URLs to git fetch without an end-of-options separator. A leading-hyphen value can be parsed as --upload-pack and execute a command inside argocd-repo-server when the remote uses a local transport such as file://. Git does not run the supplied command for an https:// remote. The local transport does not leave the pod, so blocking repo-server egress does not prevent the execution. The command runs as the repo-server user, can read repository credentials and other process-accessible data, and can return output through manifest-generation errors. An attacker can commit a Kustomization to a Git repository that an Application builds or upload files through POST /api/v1/applications/manifestsWithFiles, also exposed by argocd app diff --local --server-side-generate. The upload path requires only Application get permission on an existing Application, without Application update or sync permission or repository write access. Argo CD is a declarative, GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes. From 0.9.0 until 3.3.15, 3.4.10, 3.5.4, and 3.6.0-rc2, the repo-server evaluates .jsonnet files with an importer that does not confine import, importstr, or importbin to the repository root. Absolute paths, parent-directory traversal, and repository symlinks can open any file readable by the repo-server, including /proc/self/environ, projected service-account tokens, mounted private keys, and repository credentials. Although generated Secrets are redacted, placing imported contents in a ConfigMap returns the data to the caller. Using importstr on a non-terminating device such as /dev/zero can exhaust repo-server memory. An attacker can commit a .jsonnet file to a Git repository used by an Application or upload the file through POST /api/v1/applications/manifestsWithFiles, also exposed by argocd app diff --local --server-side-generate. The X.509 parser in NetX Secure accepts an RSA public key of any size, but every signature-verification path decrypts into fixed-size buffers dimensioned for the `NX_CRYPTO_MAX_RSA_MODULUS_SIZE` default of 4096 bits. A certificate carrying a larger modulus drives an out-of-bounds write past a file-scope static during ordinary certificate-chain verification. It is reachable pre-authentication. The issuer used for the crypto operation is looked up in the remote, peer-supplied store before the trusted store, so the attacker supplies the oversized key themselves as an intermediate in the chain they present. It triggers on a TLS or DTLS client verifying a malicious server's chain, and on a server performing client-certificate authentication.
