  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: max17040: handle missing status supplier MAX17040 does not report charger sCVE-2026-80711 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: power: supply: max17040: handle missing status supplier MAX17040 does not report charger state itself, so the driver forwards POWER_SUPPLY_PROP_STATUS to a supplier power supply. If no supplier is registered, power_supply_get_property_from_supplier() returns -ENODEV and leaves the output value untouched. max17040_get_property() currently ignores that error and returns success, so userspace can read an uninitialized status value from the battery power supply. This happens on systems that use the fuel gauge without a charger supplier relationship in firmware. Return POWER_SUPPLY_STATUS_UNKNOWN when no supplier provides STATUS, and propagate other supplier lookup errors.

  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (sht3x) Fix unaligned accesses Sashiko reports: In sht3x_update_client(), the 16-bCVE-2026-80695 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (sht3x) Fix unaligned accesses Sashiko reports: In sht3x_update_client(), the 16-bit temperature and humidity values are extracted from a stack-allocated byte array using be16_to_cpup(). The pointers passed to this function are calculated as buf and buf + 3. Since the difference between the two pointers is an odd number of bytes, at least one of them is guaranteed to be at an unaligned offset. This will trigger an alignment fault on strict-alignment architectures such as ARMv5 or SPARC, resulting in a kernel panic. Fix the problem by using get_unaligned_be16() instead of be16_to_cpup(), and put_unaligned_be16() instead of cpu_to_be16().

  • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfsplus: Add a sanity check for btree node size Syzbot reported an uninit-value bug in [1]CVE-2026-80656 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hfsplus: Add a sanity check for btree node size Syzbot reported an uninit-value bug in [1] with a corrupted HFS+ image, during the file system mounting process, specifically while loading the catalog, a corrupted node_size value of 1 caused the rec_off argument passed to hfs_bnode_read_u16() (within hfs_bnode_find()) to be excessively large. Consequently, the function failed to return a valid value to initialize the off variable, triggering the bug [1]. Every node starts from BTree node descriptor: struct hfs_bnode_desc. So, the size of node cannot be lesser than that. However, technical specification declares that: "The node size (which is expressed in bytes) must be power of two, from 512 through 32,768, inclusive." Add a check for btree node size base on technical specification. • Aug 28, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: core: Fix OOB read in hid_get_report for numbered reports When a caller passes a sizeCVE-2026-80604 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: core: Fix OOB read in hid_get_report for numbered reports When a caller passes a size of 0 to hid_report_raw_event() for a numbered report, the function originally called hid_get_report() before performing any size validation. Inside hid_get_report(), if the report is numbered (report_enum->numbered is true), it unconditionally dereferences data[0] to extract the report ID. With a size of 0, this results in an out-of-bounds read or kernel panic. Fix this by moving the numbered report size validation check before the call to hid_get_report(), ensuring that size is at least 1 before dereferencing the data pointer.

  • Aug 27, 2026RedisChatMemoryRepository.findByMetadata() builds RediSearch tag and text queries from caller-supplied metadata values without applying RediSearchUtil.escape(),CVE-2026-59319 · Other software · Spring · reported by security@vmware.comMedium 4.3

whichllm before 0.5.16 contains a code injection vulnerability in the run and snippet commands that allows a remote attacker who controls a HuggingFace repository to achieve arbitrary code execution by crafting a malicious GGUF filename containing double quotes or other special characters. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - zero report size on F54 work error In rmi_f54_work(), if an error occurs during report request or command verification, the code jumped directly to the 'error' label, bypassing the 'abort' label where f54->report_size was normally zeroed out. This left f54->report_size containing its previous successful payload size. If a user then altered the V4L2 format to a smaller size, and a subsequent run failed, rmi_f54_buffer_queue() would copy the stale, larger payload size into the shrunken V4L2 buffer, causing a heap buffer overflow. Fix this by merging the 'abort' and 'error' labels into a single 'out' exit path, and ensuring that f54->report_size is always set to 0 on failure by checking for error and zeroing the local report_size first.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: synaptics-rmi4 - bound the F54 report size to the allocated buffer rmi_f54_work() reads a diagnostics report from the device into f54->report_data, sizing the transfer with rmi_f54_get_report_size(): report_size = rmi_f54_get_report_size(f54); ... for (i = 0; i < report_size; i += F54_REPORT_DATA_SIZE) { int size = min(F54_REPORT_DATA_SIZE, report_size - i); ... rmi_read_block(.., f54->report_data + i, size); } report_data is allocated once at probe from F54's own electrode counts (array3_size(f54->num_tx_electrodes, f54->num_rx_electrodes, sizeof(u16))), but rmi_f54_get_report_size() computes the size from drv_data->num_*_electrodes when those are set, i.e. from the F55 function's electrode counts. Both counts come straight from device queries (F54 and F55 each report up to 255 electrodes) and nothing constrains the F55 counts to the F54 ones. A malicious or malfunctioning RMI4 device that reports larger F55 electrode counts than its F54 counts makes report_size exceed the allocation, so the read loop writes past report_data (and the V4L2 dequeue memcpy() then reads past it). Impact summary: Applications calling EVP_Cipher() on an empty ciphertext and expecting the call to check the AEAD tag may accept forged messages. CWE: CWE-354 (Improper Validation of Integrity Check Value) Description: The EVP_Cipher() API call for AEAD ciphers behaves like a one shot encryption and decryption call. It also verifies the AEAD tag after the decryption operation. However for AES-OCB and ChaCha20-Poly1305 ciphers it skipped the AEAD tag verification when an empty ciphertext was passed to the function. Incorrect Authorization vulnerability in the OAuth token endpoint in hexpm hexpm allows an API key holding the repositories permission to read another organization's private packages. When an API key is exchanged for a token through the OAuth client_credentials grant, validate_scopes_against_key/2 in lib/hexpm_web/controllers/api/oauth_controller.ex admits a requested scope whenever the key carries the repositories permission and the scope string begins with repository:. The organization name is never resolved against the principal, and expand_repositories_scope/3 only rewrites the literal repositories scope, so an explicit repository:<name> passes through untouched. • Aug 24, 2026Print Assumptions does not report that a definition was produced while universe checking was disabled when that definition reaches the caller through Parameter CVE-2020-37268 · Other software · rocq-prover · reported by VulnCheckMedium 6.8

Print Assumptions does not report that a definition was produced while universe checking was disabled when that definition reaches the caller through Parameter Inline in a module type. Applying a functor inlines the body of the parameter, and the inlining drops the record that the term was built under Unset Universe Checking, so the resulting constant carries no trace of the unsafe operation. A module implementation can therefore prove False using a universe inconsistency, expose it through an inlined parameter, and have Print Assumptions report the dependent proof as closed under the global context. Because Print Assumptions is the in-process audit used to confirm that a development rests on no unexpected assumptions, a dependency built this way passes that audit while proving arbitrary propositions. The standalone checker coqchk does reject the resulting compiled file. The project records this in dev/doc/critical-bugs.md under non-fixed bugs and rates the risk as moderate when coqchk is not used.

RoleBasedAccessControlMixin.test_func returns only request.user.is_active unless a view overrides it, and neither the endpoint that lints a report template nor the endpoint that returns stored lint results provides an override, so each resolves a ReportTemplate from a caller-supplied primary key with no ownership or client-scope check. Any authenticated account can therefore lint an arbitrary template, which overwrites that template's stored lint result, and can read the returned findings, which enumerate the template's variable names and template-engine errors and so disclose its structure. This is distinct from the template swap path: that endpoint authorizes the report but omits the per-template check, whereas these endpoints omit authorization entirely and remain unfixed.

Ghostwriter before 7.1.2 fails to validate template ownership in the report template swap endpoint, allowing attackers to attach client-scoped templates from other clients to their own reports. Attackers can exploit sequential template primary keys to enumerate and attach foreign templates, then generate reports to disclose template contents including letterhead, boilerplate, and methodology text.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: hwmon: (pmbus) Fix type confusion in notification logic Sashiko reports: At the start of the loop in pmbus_notify(), the code unconditionally casts every attribute to a struct sensor_device_attribute: drivers/hwmon/pmbus/pmbus_core.c:pmbus_notify() { for (i = 0; i < data->num_attributes; i++) { struct device_attribute *da = to_dev_attr(data->group.attrs[i]); struct sensor_device_attribute *attr = to_sensor_dev_attr(da); int index = attr->index; ... } However, data->group.attrs can contain other types like struct pmbus_samples_reg or struct pmbus_sensor, which only embed a base struct device_attribute. If da is a struct pmbus_samples_reg, dev_attr is the last member. Casting it to struct sensor_device_attribute and reading the index field appears to access memory past the end of the allocation, which might trigger a slab-out-of-bounds read. Additionally, if da is a struct pmbus_sensor, casting it causes the index field to overlap with the page, phase, and reg fields. Could this produce a garbage mask on little-endian systems that spuriously matches the target reg, page, and flags d

  • Aug 21, 2026The report.list procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted a projectId and a dashboardId and returned getReportsByDashboardId(dashboardId).CVE-2026-77769 · Other software · Openpanel-dev · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

The report.list procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted a projectId and a dashboardId and returned getReportsByDashboardId(dashboardId). The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts verified membership for the supplied projectId, but nothing verified that the supplied dashboardId belonged to that project, and getReportsByDashboardId in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts selects reports by dashboardId alone with no project scoping. An authenticated user could therefore pair a projectId from their own organization, which satisfies the middleware, with a dashboardId belonging to another organization and receive every report in that dashboard. A correctly scoped helper, listReportsCore, already existed in the same service file and resolves the dashboard through getDashboardById(dashboardId, projectId) before returning reports, but the router did not use it.

  • Aug 21, 2026The report.get procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted only a reportId and returned getReportById(reportId) directly.CVE-2026-77768 · Other software · Openpanel-dev · reported by VulnCheckHigh 7.1

The report.get procedure in packages/trpc/src/routers/report.ts accepted only a reportId and returned getReportById(reportId) directly. The enforceAccess middleware in packages/trpc/src/trpc.ts evaluates membership only when the input carries a projectId or organizationId key, so an input consisting of a reportId alone passed through unchecked, and getReportById in packages/db/src/services/reports.service.ts performs a findUnique on the report id with no project scoping. Any authenticated user could therefore read the full configuration of any saved report on the instance, including the owning projectId, event series, filters, breakdowns and formulas, by supplying its identifier. The adjacent update, delete and duplicate procedures resolve the report first and check getProjectAccess against the report's own projectId, so the omission was specific to this procedure.
