In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Do not skip unrelated mode changes in DSC validation Starting with commit 17ce8a6907f7 ("drm/amd/display: Add dsc pre-validation in atomic check"), amdgpu resets the CRTC state mode_changed flag to false when recomputing the DSC configuration results in no timing change for a particular stream. However, this is incorrect in scenarios where a change in MST/DSC configuration happens in the same KMS commit as another (unrelated) mode change. For example, the integrated panel of a laptop may be configured differently (e.g., HDR enabled/disabled) depending on whether external screens are attached. In this case, plugging in external DP-MST screens may result in the mode_changed flag being dropped incorrectly for the integrated panel if its DSC configuration did not change during precomputation in pre_validate_dsc(). At this point, however, dm_update_crtc_state() has already created new streams for CRTCs with DSC-independent mode changes. In turn, amdgpu_dm_commit_streams() will never release the old stream, resulting in a memory leak. amdgpu_dm_atomic_commit_tail() will never acquire a reference to t

  • Apr 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Synchronize interrupts before suspending the GPU The runtime PM suspend cCVE-2026-23469 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 4.7

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/imagination: Synchronize interrupts before suspending the GPU The runtime PM suspend callback doesn't know whether the IRQ handler is in progress on a different CPU core and doesn't wait for it to finish. Depending on timing, the IRQ handler could be running while the GPU is suspended, leading to kernel crashes when trying to access GPU registers. See example signature below. In a power off sequence initiated by the runtime PM suspend callback, wait for any IRQ handlers in progress on other CPU cores to finish, by calling synchronize_irq(). At the same time, remove the runtime PM resume/put calls in the threaded IRQ handler. On top of not being the right approach to begin with, and being at the wrong place as they should have wrapped all GPU register accesses, the driver would hit a deadlock between synchronize_irq() being called from a runtime PM suspend callback, holding the device power lock, and the resume callback requiring the same. Example crash signature on a TI AM68 SK platform: [ 337.241218] SError Interrupt on CPU0, code 0x00000000bf000000 -- SError [ 337.241239] CPU: 0 UID: 0 PID: 112 C

  • Apr 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Limit BO list entry count to prevent resource exhaustion Userspace can pass anCVE-2026-23468 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: Limit BO list entry count to prevent resource exhaustion Userspace can pass an arbitrary number of BO list entries via the bo_number field. Although the previous multiplication overflow check prevents out-of-bounds allocation, a large number of entries could still cause excessive memory allocation (up to potentially gigabytes) and unnecessarily long list processing times. Introduce a hard limit of 128k entries per BO list, which is more than sufficient for any realistic use case (e.g., a single list containing all buffers in a large scene). This prevents memory exhaustion attacks and ensures predictable performance. Return -EINVAL if the requested entry count exceeds the limit (cherry picked from commit 688b87d39e0aa8135105b40dc167d74b5ada5332)

  • Apr 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/dmc: Fix an unlikely NULL pointer deference at probe intel_dmc_update_dc6_allowedCVE-2026-23467 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 5.5

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/dmc: Fix an unlikely NULL pointer deference at probe intel_dmc_update_dc6_allowed_count() oopses when DMC hasn't been initialized, and dmc is thus NULL. That would be the case when the call path is intel_power_domains_init_hw() -> {skl,bxt,icl}_display_core_init() -> gen9_set_dc_state() -> intel_dmc_update_dc6_allowed_count(), as intel_power_domains_init_hw() is called *before* intel_dmc_init(). However, gen9_set_dc_state() calls intel_dmc_update_dc6_allowed_count() conditionally, depending on the current and target DC states. At probe, the target is disabled, but if DC6 is enabled, the function is called, and an oops follows. Apparently it's quite unlikely that DC6 is enabled at probe, as we haven't seen this failure mode before. It is also strange to have DC6 enabled at boot, since that would require the DMC firmware (loaded by BIOS); the BIOS loading the DMC firmware and the driver stopping / reprogramming the firmware is a poorly specified sequence and as such unlikely an intentional BIOS behaviour. It's more likely that BIOS is leaving an unintentionally enabled DC6 HW state behind (without actua

  • Apr 3, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Open-code GGTT MMIO access protection GGTT MMIO access is currently protected by hCVE-2026-23466 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe: Open-code GGTT MMIO access protection GGTT MMIO access is currently protected by hotplug (drm_dev_enter), which works correctly when the driver loads successfully and is later unbound or unloaded. However, if driver load fails, this protection is insufficient because drm_dev_unplug() is never called. Additionally, devm release functions cannot guarantee that all BOs with GGTT mappings are destroyed before the GGTT MMIO region is removed, as some BOs may be freed asynchronously by worker threads. To address this, introduce an open-coded flag, protected by the GGTT lock, that guards GGTT MMIO access. The flag is cleared during the dev_fini_ggtt devm release function to ensure MMIO access is disabled once teardown begins. (cherry picked from commit 4f3a998a173b4325c2efd90bdadc6ccd3ad9a431)

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/xe/queue: Call fini on exec queue creation fail Every call to queue init should have a corresponding fini call. Skipping this would mean skipping removal of the queue from GuC list (which is part of guc_id allocation). A damaged queue stored in exec_queue_lookup list would lead to invalid memory reference, sooner or later. Call fini to free guc_id. This must be done before any internal LRCs are freed. Since the finalization with this extra call became very similar to __xe_exec_queue_fini(), reuse that. To make this reuse possible, alter xe_lrc_put() so it can survive NULL parameters, like other similar functions. v2: Reuse _xe_exec_queue_fini(). Make xe_lrc_put() aware of NULLs. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/pm: Disable MMIO access during SMU Mode 1 reset During Mode 1 reset, the ASIC undergoes a reset cycle and becomes temporarily inaccessible via PCIe. Any attempt to access MMIO registers during this window (e.g., from interrupt handlers or other driver threads) can result in uncompleted PCIe transactions, leading to NMI panics or system hangs. To prevent this, set the `no_hw_access` flag to true immediately after triggering the reset. This signals other driver components to skip register accesses while the device is offline. A memory barrier `smp_mb()` is added to ensure the flag update is globally visible to all cores before the driver enters the sleep/wait state. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix NULL pointer dereference in amdgpu_gmc_filter_faults_remove On APUs such as Raven and Renoir (GC 9.1.0, 9.2.2, 9.3.0), the ih1 and ih2 interrupt ring buffers are not initialized. This is by design, as these secondary IH rings are only available on discrete GPUs. See vega10_ih_sw_init() which explicitly skips ih1/ih2 initialization when AMD_IS_APU is set. However, amdgpu_gmc_filter_faults_remove() unconditionally uses ih1 to get the timestamp of the last interrupt entry. When retry faults are enabled on APUs (noretry=0), this function is called from the SVM page fault recovery path, resulting in a NULL pointer dereference when amdgpu_ih_decode_iv_ts_helper() attempts to access ih->ring[]. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: synopsys: dw-dp: fix error paths of dw_dp_bind Fix several issues in dw_dp_bind() error handling: 1. Missing return after drm_bridge_attach() failure - the function continued execution instead of returning an error. 2. Resource leak: drm_dp_aux_register() is not a devm function, so drm_dp_aux_unregister() must be called on all error paths after aux registration succeeds. This affects errors from: - drm_bridge_attach() - phy_init() - devm_add_action_or_reset() - platform_get_irq() - devm_request_threaded_irq() 3. Bug fix: platform_get_irq() returns the IRQ number or a negative error code, but the error path was returning ERR_PTR(ret) instead of ERR_PTR(dp->irq). Use a goto label for cleanup to ensure consistent error handling.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu/userq: Fix fence reference leak on queue teardown v2 The user mode queue keeps a pointer to the most recent fence in userq->last_fence. This pointer holds an extra dma_fence reference. When the queue is destroyed, we free the fence driver and its xarray, but we forgot to drop the last_fence reference. Because of the missing dma_fence_put(), the last fence object can stay alive when the driver unloads. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/gem: Zero-initialize the eb.vma array in i915_gem_do_execbuffer Initialize the eb.vma array with values of 0 when the eb structure is first set up. In particular, this sets the eb->vma[i].vma pointers to NULL, simplifying cleanup and getting rid of the bug described below. During the execution of eb_lookup_vmas(), the eb->vma array is successively filled up with struct eb_vma objects. This process includes calling eb_add_vma(), which might fail; however, even in the event of failure, eb->vma[i].vma is set for the currently processed buffer. If eb_add_vma() fails, eb_lookup_vmas() returns with an error, which prompts a call to eb_release_vmas() to clean up the mess. Since eb_lookup_vmas() might fail during processing any (possibly not first) buffer, eb_release_vmas() checks whether a buffer's vma is NULL to know at what point did the lookup function fail. In eb_lookup_vmas(), eb->vma[i].vma is set to NULL if either the helper function eb_lookup_vma() or eb_validate_vma() fails. eb->vma[i+1].vma is set to NULL in case i915_gem_object_userptr_submit_init() fails; the current one needs to be cleaned up by

  • Jan 13, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix a job->pasid access race in gpu recovery Avoid a possible UAF in GPU recovCVE-2025-68793 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.8

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix a job->pasid access race in gpu recovery Avoid a possible UAF in GPU recovery due to a race between the sched timeout callback and the tdr work queue. The gpu recovery function calls drm_sched_stop() and later drm_sched_start(). drm_sched_start() restarts the tdr queue which will eventually free the job. If the tdr queue frees the job before time out callback completes, the job will be freed and we'll get a UAF when accessing the pasid. Cache it early to avoid the UAF. Example KASAN trace: [ 493.058141] BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in amdgpu_device_gpu_recover+0x968/0x990 [amdgpu] [ 493.067530] Read of size 4 at addr ffff88b0ce3f794c by task kworker/u128:1/323 [ 493.074892] [ 493.076485] CPU: 9 UID: 0 PID: 323 Comm: kworker/u128:1 Tainted: G E 6.16.0-1289896.2.zuul.bf4f11df81c1410bbe901c4373305a31 #1 PREEMPT(voluntary) [ 493.076493] Tainted: [E]=UNSIGNED_MODULE [ 493.076495] Hardware name: TYAN B8021G88V2HR-2T/S8021GM2NR-2T, BIOS V1.03.B10 04/01/2019 [ 493.076500] Workqueue: amdgpu-reset-dev drm_sched_job_timedout [gpu_sched] [ 493.076512] Call Trace: [ 493.076515

  • Jan 5, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vgem-fence: Fix potential deadlock on release A timer that expires a vgem fence automaCVE-2025-68757 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/vgem-fence: Fix potential deadlock on release A timer that expires a vgem fence automatically in 10 seconds is now released with timer_delete_sync() from fence->ops.release() called on last dma_fence_put(). In some scenarios, it can run in IRQ context, which is not safe unless TIMER_IRQSAFE is used. One potentially risky scenario was demonstrated in Intel DRM CI trybot, BAT run on machine bat-adlp-6, while working on new IGT subtests syncobj_timeline@stress-* as user space replacements of some problematic test cases of a dma-fence-chain selftest [1]. Where this comes from: the exploited list is CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog. Everything else is the whole National Vulnerability Database, where each record is published by the team that found the bug (Wordfence, Patchstack, WPScan, the vendors themselves and others); we show who. Exploit odds are FIRST’s EPSS, updated daily. Titles and categories are ours, so check the linked record before acting on a detail. For a write-up of the big ones, see our advisories. Every vendor, and every WordPress plugin and theme with a recorded flaw, also has its own page. All of it is free to reuse as JSON, CSV or RSS.
