Concrete CMS versions 9.0.0 to 9.5.2 stored the Page Container icon value submitted through the dashboard without validating it against the set of known container icons. The unvalidated value was later concatenated into the src attribute of an img tag by a helper that did not encode attribute output, and was rendered raw in the Containers dashboard list and editor views. A user with delegated access to the Page Containers dashboard could store a crafted icon value that broke out of the src attribute and executed script in the authenticated session of another editor or administrator who viewed the list, enabling session token theft and privileged dashboard actions. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 7.0 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:A/AC:L/AT:N/PR:H/UI:P/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. • Sep 14, 2026ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software.CVE-2026-59178 · Other software · esphome · reported by GitHubCritical 9.8

ESPHome Device Builder Dashboard is a dashboard for the ESPHome home management software. Prior to version 1.0.12, the dashboard reads its authentication credentials from `$ESPHOME_USERNAME` and `$ESPHOME_PASSWORD`. Earlier versions, and the legacy `esphome` dashboard, read the bare `$USERNAME` and `$PASSWORD` instead. When the env vars were renamed the bare names were dropped with no fallback, so an operator who had protected their dashboard with `USERNAME` / `PASSWORD` (as the older getting started guide documented) loses authentication on upgrade and the dashboard starts open to anyone who can reach its port. The issue is fixed in 1.0.12. The bare `$USERNAME` / `$PASSWORD` are accepted again as a deprecated fallback so previously protected instances stay protected across the upgrade without operator intervention, with a loud deprecation warning at startup directing operators to rename them to `$ESPHOME_USERNAME` / `$ESPHOME_PASSWORD`. The fallback is gated on `$PASSWORD` being set and is only adopted as a pair, so the OS provided `$USERNAME` is never read on its own and the original collision footgun stays closed. A lone bare `$PASSWORD` with no username still fails loud as a cr

  • Sep 14, 2026hashi-vault-js is a Node.js module for interacting with the HashiCorp Vault API.CVE-2026-55102 · Other software · kyndryl-open-source · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8

hashi-vault-js is a Node.js module for interacting with the HashiCorp Vault API. Prior to 0.5.2, every API method in src/Vault.js passes failed requests through parseAxiosError(), which rethrows the raw AxiosError while retaining AxiosError.config and the equivalent response configuration. These objects can contain the X-Vault-Token request header and err.config.data request body, including submitted passwords or secret values. When a consuming application records the caught exception through console logging, structured loggers, monitoring, crash reporting, or an application performance monitoring service, the live Vault token and request secrets can be stored in plaintext and exposed to anyone with access to that output. A stolen token can permit unauthorized access to the Vault instance under the token's policies. This issue is fixed in version 0.5.2.

  • Sep 14, 2026LaraDashboard versions 0.9.2 through 1.2.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the core-upgrade backup handling.CVE-2026-90932 · Other software · laradashboard · reported by VulnCheckHigh 8.6

LaraDashboard versions 0.9.2 through 1.2.2 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the core-upgrade backup handling. CoreUpgradeController and BackupService (e.g. BackupService::deleteBackup()) concatenate the user-supplied backup_file/filename value directly onto the backup directory path without normalisation, without applying basename(), and without verifying that the resolved path remains inside storage/app/core-backups; the corresponding form requests only validate the value as a bounded string. An authenticated user holding only the delegated settings.edit permission (not Superadmin) can supply ../ traversal sequences to delete arbitrary files reachable on the host filesystem, including outside the application tree, or to restore a ZIP archive from an arbitrary on-disk location, writing arbitrary files into the application directories and achieving remote code execution. Note: the advisory states the vulnerable concatenation was introduced in the v0.9.7 release line. Fixed in 1.3.0.

The administrative password is hashed using a comparatively weak, fast algorithm for the credential store backing one authentication path, and the file containing that hash is written with permissions allowing it to be read by any local user. This is inconsistent with a separate, stronger hashing algorithm used for the same password on another authentication path. A party able to read this file, including a local user or a party with access to a configuration backup, could feasibly recover the underlying password through offline computation, compromising the administrative credential across every path that accepts it.

Concrete CMS 9.5.2 and below is vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) in the Express "Clear Entries" function (POST /index.php/dashboard/system/express/entities/delete_entries) because the controller records but does not enforce a failed CSRF token check, allowing the destructive operation to proceed when the token is missing or invalid. A remote unauthenticated attacker can force an authenticated administrator who visits an attacker-controlled page to permanently delete all entries belonging to an attacker-selected Express entity on a web application to which the administrator is currently authenticated. Because the default Contact Express object ships with a fixed entity UUID, the target identifier can be obtained without dashboard access. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 6.1 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:P/VC:N/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix crash passing ERR_PTR to kthread_stop() event_test_stuff() calls kthread_run() and unconditionally passes the returned task_struct pointer to kthread_stop(). kthread_run() returns an error pointer such as ERR_PTR(-ENOMEM) when kthread creation fails, for example under memory pressure during the boot-time event self-test. kthread_stop() then dereferences the invalid pointer, crashing the kernel. Check the result of kthread_run() before passing it to kthread_stop(). Use WARN_ON() so that a failure to create the self-test thread does not go unnoticed, matching the ring-buffer self-test fix in commit 91542863abad ("ring-buffer: Fix crash passing ERR_PTR to kthread_stop()").

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: fix delegation_hash_table leak when nfs4_server_common_setup() fails nfs4_server_common_setup() allocates server->delegation_hash_table first, but server->destroy - the only path that frees the table via nfs4_destroy_server() - is not assigned until the very end of the function. If any intermediate step fails (the is_ds_only_client() check, nfs4_init_session(), nfs4_get_rootfh(), or nfs_probe_server()), the function returns with server->destroy still NULL, so the caller's nfs_free_server() skips the destroy callback and the hash table is leaked (4 KiB per attempt with the default delegation watermark). This is trivially reachable from userspace: every failed NFSv4 mount leaks one allocation. A client that persistently retries a mount that cannot succeed leaks kernel memory without bound. Observed in production where a Longhorn backup poller retried mount.nfs4 against an NFSv3-only server roughly 10 times per second, leaking ~3.4 GiB of unreclaimable slab (kmalloc-rnd-13-4k) per day; the node accumulated 12 GiB of leaked slab before the source was identified via the kmem:kmalloc tracepoint (call_site=nfs4_de

The nscd service in the GNU C Library 2.3.4 onwards may crash due to a stack overflow when a malicious DNS server returns too large a response for a DNS query, resulting in degraded DNS resolution for the system. Exploitation of this bug needs a system that has nscd enabled and using an untrusted DNS server for name resolution, with the compromised DNS server being capable of processing records large enough to result in a stack overflow in an nscd thread stack.  During experimentation, bind 9 was unable to handle large records, but that could change in future or with a different name server.  In typical installations, nscd is executed in an isolated context as its own user without a shell, due to which any compromise of that service is isolated. There is a remote possibility of nscd cache corruption if an attacker manages to get the stack pointer into a desired point in the heap, potentially resulting in other caches in nscd being overwritten with corrupt data through the stack overflow, until the buggy code path eventually results in a crash. Finally, a crash in nscd may result in performance degradation when resolving names, but it does not result in a deni

Concrete CMS below 9.5.3 stores user validation hashes for multiple purposes (email/registration validation, password reset, and persistent login) in a single table with a type column, but the redemption path resolves a hash by value alone and does not verify its type. As a result, a hash issued for one purpose can be redeemed for another: a long-lived registration hash (60-day expiry) can be submitted to the password-change endpoint to set a new password on the target account, and a password-reset hash can be submitted to the email-validation endpoint to activate an account. Exploitation requires the attacker to first obtain a valid hash through a separate channel (for example email interception, log exposure, or SSRF against an internal mail relay), so the flaw amplifies the impact of any hash disclosure rather than creating a standalone entry point. The Concrete CMS security team gave this vulnerability a CVSS v4.0 score of 6.3 with vector CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:H/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:L/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N. • Sep 8, 2026A flaw in MongoDB's JSON Schema validation error generation code allows an authenticated user with readWrite privileges to crash the mongod server.CVE-2026-82058 · Other software · MongoDB · reported by cna@mongodb.comHigh 7.1

A flaw in MongoDB's JSON Schema validation error generation code allows an authenticated user with readWrite privileges to crash the mongod server. When a BSON document containing an array with a malformed numeric field name fails a $jsonSchema items type constraint, the error generation path performs unsafe numeric conversion on the user-controlled field name without proper exception handling, resulting in an uncaught exception that terminates the server process. This is possible because incoming wire protocol BSON validation does not enforce that array element field names are valid, in-range numeric indices.

A security issue was discovered in MongoDB where an authenticated user with readWrite privileges could crash the mongod server process. By specifying a custom WiredTiger storage configuration option with an incompatible value during collection creation, a user could cause a type confusion in the storage engine layer. When documents were subsequently read from the misconfigured collection, the resulting mismatch in expected data format led to corrupted memory interpretation and a server crash. The crafted collection configuration persists across restarts, requiring manual operator intervention to remediate.

A security issue exists in MongoDB's 2dsphere index key generation that can cause a server crash due to a null pointer dereference. When a specially crafted GeoJSON document is inserted into a collection with a 2dsphere index, an inconsistency in geometry parsing can leave an internal object in an invalid, partially initialized state. During subsequent index key generation, access to this improperly initialized object results in a null pointer dereference that terminates the mongod process. An authenticated user with write access can use this to cause a denial of service.

  • Sep 8, 2026AshAi exposes Ash read actions to language-model tool calls.CVE-2026-78230 · Other software · ash-project · reported by 6b3ad84c-e1a6-4bf7-a703-f496b71e49dbMedium 6

AshAi exposes Ash read actions to language-model tool calls. The read tool accepts an aggregate result type (min, max, sum, avg) that builds an ad-hoc Ash.Query.Aggregate over a named field and returns its raw value. Ash field policies redact forbidden fields on returned records (replacing them with %Ash.ForbiddenField{}), but that redaction does not apply to aggregate values. A tool caller could therefore read a field the calling actor's field policies forbid by requesting it as an aggregate; min/max in particular return an actual field value. This includes fields that are public? true but restricted per-actor by a field policy, such as sensitive PII. The tool's existing check only required the field to be public, which is a separate axis from per-actor field-policy authorization. The fix authorizes the aggregated field against the resource's field policies, so aggregating over a field the actor may not see is refused or scoped to the rows where it is visible. This issue affects ash_ai: from 0.1.0 before 1.0.3.
