Buffer over-read in PostgreSQL function pg_restore_attribute_stats() accepts array values of unmatched length, which causes query planning to read past end of one array. This allows a table maintainer to infer memory values past that array end. Within major version 18, minor versions before PostgreSQL 18.4 are affected. Versions before PostgreSQL 18 are unaffected.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dpaa2-switch: validate num_ifs to prevent out-of-bounds write The driver obtains sw_attr.num_ifs from firmware via dpsw_get_attributes() but never validates it against DPSW_MAX_IF (64). This value controls iteration in dpaa2_switch_fdb_get_flood_cfg(), which writes port indices into the fixed-size cfg->if_id[DPSW_MAX_IF] array. When firmware reports num_ifs >= 64, the loop can write past the array bounds. Add a bound check for num_ifs in dpaa2_switch_init(). dpaa2_switch_fdb_get_flood_cfg() appends the control interface (port num_ifs) after all matched ports. When num_ifs == DPSW_MAX_IF and all ports match the flood filter, the loop fills all 64 slots and the control interface write overflows by one entry. The check uses >= because num_ifs == DPSW_MAX_IF is also functionally broken. build_if_id_bitmap() silently drops any ID >= 64: if (id[i] < DPSW_MAX_IF) bmap[id[i] / 64] |= ...

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: delete attr leaf freemap entries when empty Back in commit 2a2b5932db6758 ("xfs: fix attr leaf header freemap.size underflow"), Brian Foster observed that it's possible for a small freemap at the end of the end of the xattr entries array to experience a size underflow when subtracting the space consumed by an expansion of the entries array. There are only three freemap entries, which means that it is not a complete index of all free space in the leaf block. This code can leave behind a zero-length freemap entry with a nonzero base. Subsequent setxattr operations can increase the base up to the point that it overlaps with another freemap entry. This isn't in and of itself a problem because the code in _leaf_add that finds free space ignores any freemap entry with zero size. However, there's another bug in the freemap update code in _leaf_add, which is that it fails to update a freemap entry that begins midway through the xattr entry that was just appended to the array. That can result in the freemap containing two entries with the same base but different sizes (0 for the "pushed-up" entry, nonzero for t

May 6, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix freemap adjustments when adding xattrs to leaf blocks xfs/592 and xfs/794 both trCVE-2026-43158 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 8.8
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: fix freemap adjustments when adding xattrs to leaf blocks xfs/592 and xfs/794 both trip this assertion in the leaf block freemap adjustment code after ~20 minutes of running on my test VMs: ASSERT(ichdr->firstused >= ichdr->count * sizeof(xfs_attr_leaf_entry_t) + xfs_attr3_leaf_hdr_size(leaf)); Upon enabling quite a lot more debugging code, I narrowed this down to fsstress trying to set a local extended attribute with namelen=3 and valuelen=71. This results in an entry size of 80 bytes. At the start of xfs_attr3_leaf_add_work, the freemap looks like this: i 0 base 448 size 0 rhs 448 count 46 i 1 base 388 size 132 rhs 448 count 46 i 2 base 2120 size 4 rhs 448 count 46 firstused = 520 where "rhs" is the first byte past the end of the leaf entry array. This is inconsistent -- the entries array ends at byte 448, but freemap[1] says there's free space starting at byte 388! By the end of the function, the freemap is in worse shape: i 0 base 456 size 0 rhs 456 count 47 i 1 base 388 size 52 rhs 456 count 47 i 2 base 2120 size 4 rhs 456 count 47 firstused = 440 Important note: 388 is not aligned with t

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: remove xfs_attr_leaf_hasname The calling convention of xfs_attr_leaf_hasname() is problematic, because it returns a NULL buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_read fails, a valid buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_lookup_int returns -ENOATTR or -EEXIST, and a non-NULL buffer pointer for an already released buffer when xfs_attr3_leaf_lookup_int fails with other error values. Fix this by simply open coding xfs_attr_leaf_hasname in the callers, so that the buffer release code is done by each caller of xfs_attr3_leaf_read.

May 1, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: close crash window in attr dabtree inactivation When inactivating an inode with node-CVE-2026-43053 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67Medium 4.7
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfs: close crash window in attr dabtree inactivation When inactivating an inode with node-format extended attributes, xfs_attr3_node_inactive() invalidates all child leaf/node blocks via xfs_trans_binval(), but intentionally does not remove the corresponding entries from their parent node blocks. The implicit assumption is that xfs_attr_inactive() will truncate the entire attr fork to zero extents afterwards, so log recovery will never reach the root node and follow those stale pointers. However, if a log shutdown occurs after the leaf/node block cancellations commit but before the attr bmap truncation commits, this assumption breaks. Recovery replays the attr bmap intact (the inode still has attr fork extents), but suppresses replay of all cancelled leaf/node blocks, maybe leaving them as stale data on disk. On the next mount, xlog_recover_process_iunlinks() retries inactivation and attempts to read the root node via the attr bmap. If the root node was not replayed, reading the unreplayed root block triggers a metadata verification failure immediately; if it was replayed, following its child pointers to unre

Apr 27, 2026Improperly Controlled Modification of Dynamically-Determined Object Attributes vulnerability in Apache Camel Camel-Coap component.CVE-2026-33453 · Email & office · Apache Software Foundation · reported by security@apache.orgCritical 10
Improperly Controlled Modification of Dynamically-Determined Object Attributes vulnerability in Apache Camel Camel-Coap component. Apache Camel's camel-coap component is vulnerable to Camel message header injection, leading to remote code execution when routes forward CoAP requests to header-sensitive producers (e.g. camel-exec) The camel-coap component maps incoming CoAP request URI query parameters directly into Camel Exchange In message headers without applying any HeaderFilterStrategy. Specifically, CamelCoapResource.handleRequest() iterates over OptionSet.getUriQuery() and calls camelExchange.getIn().setHeader(...) for every query parameter. CoAPEndpoint extends DefaultEndpoint rather than DefaultHeaderFilterStrategyEndpoint, and CoAPComponent does not implement HeaderFilterStrategyComponent; the component contains no references to HeaderFilterStrategy at all. As a result, an unauthenticated attacker who can send a single CoAP UDP packet to a Camel route consuming from coap:// can inject arbitrary Camel internal headers (those prefixed with Camel*) into the Exchange. When the route delivers the message to a header-sensitive producer such as camel-exec, camel-sql, camel-

The _ldap_res_to_model method in the UserApi class only performed string-to-boolean conversion when user_enabled_invert was True. When False, the raw string value from LDAP (e.g., "FALSE") was used directly. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop triggered by zero-sized ATTR_LIST We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed NTFS image can cause an infinite loop when an ATTR_LIST attribute indicates a zero data size while the driver allocates memory for it. When ntfs_load_attr_list() processes a resident ATTR_LIST with data_size set to zero, it still allocates memory because of al_aligned(0). This creates an inconsistent state where ni->attr_list.size is zero, but ni->attr_list.le is non-null. This causes ni_enum_attr_ex to incorrectly assume that no attribute list exists and enumerates only the primary MFT record. When it finds ATTR_LIST, the code reloads it and restarts the enumeration, repeating indefinitely. The mount operation never completes, hanging the kernel thread. This patch adds validation to ensure that data_size is non-zero before memory allocation. When a zero-sized ATTR_LIST is detected, the function returns -EINVAL, preventing a DoS vulnerability.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs: ntfs3: fix infinite loop in attr_load_runs_range on inconsistent metadata We found an infinite loop bug in the ntfs3 file system that can lead to a Denial-of-Service (DoS) condition. A malformed NTFS image can cause an infinite loop when an attribute header indicates an empty run list, while directory entries reference it as containing actual data. In NTFS, setting evcn=-1 with svcn=0 is a valid way to represent an empty run list, and run_unpack() correctly handles this by checking if evcn + 1 equals svcn and returning early without parsing any run data. However, this creates a problem when there is metadata inconsistency, where the attribute header claims to be empty (evcn=-1) but the caller expects to read actual data. When run_unpack() immediately returns success upon seeing this condition, it leaves the runs_tree uninitialized with run->runs as a NULL. The calling function attr_load_runs_range() assumes that a successful return means that the runs were loaded and sets clen to 0, expecting the next run_lookup_entry() call to succeed. Because runs_tree remains uninitialized, run_lookup_entry() continues to

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/xattr: missing fdput() in fremovexattr error path In the Linux kernel, the fremovexattr() syscall calls fdget() to acquire a file reference but returns early without calling fdput() when strncpy_from_user() fails on the name argument. In multi-threaded processes where fdget() takes the slow path, this permanently leaks one file reference per call, pinning the struct file and associated kernel objects in memory. An unprivileged local user can exploit this to cause kernel memory exhaustion. The issue was inadvertently fixed by commit a71874379ec8 ("xattr: switch to CLASS(fd)").

Mar 4, 2026In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix out-of-bounds access in sysfs attribute read/write Some f2fs sysfs attributes suCVE-2026-23235 · Computers, phones & browsers · Linux · reported by 416baaa9-dc9f-4396-8d5f-8c081fb06d67High 7.1
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: fix out-of-bounds access in sysfs attribute read/write Some f2fs sysfs attributes suffer from out-of-bounds memory access and incorrect handling of integer values whose size is not 4 bytes. For example: vm:~# echo 65537 > /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/carve_out vm:~# cat /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/carve_out 65537 vm:~# echo 4294967297 > /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/atgc_age_threshold vm:~# cat /sys/fs/f2fs/vde/atgc_age_threshold 1 carve_out maps to {struct f2fs_sb_info}->carve_out, which is a 8-bit integer. However, the sysfs interface allows setting it to a value larger than 255, resulting in an out-of-range update. atgc_age_threshold maps to {struct atgc_management}->age_threshold, which is a 64-bit integer, but its sysfs interface cannot correctly set values larger than UINT_MAX. The root causes are: 1. __sbi_store() treats all default values as unsigned int, which prevents updating integers larger than 4 bytes and causes out-of-bounds writes for integers smaller than 4 bytes. 2. f2fs_sbi_show() also assumes all default values are unsigned int, leading to out-of-bounds reads and incorrect access to integers larger than 4 bytes. beautiful-mermaid versions prior to 0.1.3 contain an SVG attribute injection issue that can lead to cross-site scripting (XSS) when rendering attacker-controlled Mermaid diagrams. User-controlled values from Mermaid style and classDef directives are interpolated into SVG attribute values without proper escaping, allowing crafted input to break out of an attribute context and inject arbitrary SVG elements/attributes into the rendered output. When the generated SVG is embedded in a web page, this can result in script execution in the context of the embedding origin.
