  • Aug 25, 2026djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance.CVE-2026-55571 · Other software · djust-org · reported by GitHubHigh 8.2

djust provides Phoenix LiveView-style reactive server-side rendering for Django with Rust-powered performance. Prior to 1.0.4, LiveViewConsumer.handle_mount sends a `{"type":"navigate","to":...}` frame when login_required, permission_required, or a redirecting on_mount hook denies a LiveView mount, but returns without closing the WebSocket or clearing self.view_instance. A browser follows the redirect, but a raw WebSocket client can ignore it and retain the mounted socket. Because LiveViewConsumer.handle_event does not recheck authentication or authorization, the client can send `{"type":"event",...}` frames that invoke @event_handler methods without an authenticated session, including through handle_live_redirect_mount, enabling unauthorized sensitive reads or mutations. This issue is fixed in version 1.0.4.

  • Aug 25, 2026hbs is an Express view engine that wraps Handlebars.CVE-2026-16231 · Other software · hbs · reported by ce714d77-add3-4f53-aff5-83d477b104bbHigh 8.1

hbs is an Express view engine that wraps Handlebars. Its registerAsyncHelper API bypasses Handlebars' automatic HTML escaping: an async helper returns an opaque placeholder during the first render pass, so the double-brace expression escapes only the placeholder, and after rendering hbs substitutes the placeholder with the raw callback return value without escaping it, across the cached, uncached, and layout render paths. An application that passes attacker-influenced data, for example user-supplied content from a database, into an async helper callback can therefore have arbitrary HTML and JavaScript injected into the server-rendered page, resulting in stored or reflected cross-site scripting. Versions 2.1.0 through 4.2.1 are affected, and the issue is fixed in 4.3.0, which HTML-escapes async helper output. Applications that intentionally emit raw HTML from an async helper can opt in explicitly with hbs.SafeString. Users should upgrade to 4.3.0.

The extension passes the raw value of a form field configured as "This field contains the name of the sender" directly into a Fluid View as template source, without any sanitization, and renders it. An anonymous, unauthenticated user can submit Fluid template syntax in that field to execute arbitrary Fluid ViewHelpers leading to disclosure of server configuration, environment variables and application source, and potentially remote code execution. Exploitation requires only that a form field is configured as the sender_name field, a common and default-adjacent Powermail configuration. No authentication or user interaction beyond a normal form submission is required. This vulnerability is reported to be actively exploited in the wild.

RansomLook contains a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the cryptocurrency wallet detail view. Cryptocurrency addresses and blockchain names originating from external sources, including the public crowd-sourced ransomwhe.re feed, were stored without sufficient validation and later embedded directly into an inline JavaScript onclick handler. Although Jinja HTML autoescaping was applied, it does not provide adequate protection when untrusted data is inserted into a JavaScript string inside an HTML attribute. HTML entities such as ' are decoded by the browser's HTML parser before the resulting attribute is interpreted as JavaScript. Consequently, a specially crafted cryptocurrency address containing quote characters and JavaScript syntax could escape the intended string literal and execute arbitrary JavaScript when a user clicked the affected wallet's CSV export button. Because cryptocurrency information imported from an untrusted upstream could reach the vulnerable rendering path, exploitation may not require an authenticated RansomLook account if an attacker can introduce a malicious wallet record into a consumed external data source. Successful exploitation cou

  • Aug 24, 2026Horde IMP's AppleDouble MIME viewer writes an attacker-controlled attachment name into an HTML status block without escaping it.CVE-2026-65053 · Other software · horde · reported by VulnCheckMedium 5.1

Horde IMP's AppleDouble MIME viewer writes an attacker-controlled attachment name into an HTML status block without escaping it. In lib/Mime/Viewer/Appledouble.php, _IMPrender() obtains the name of the data part with IMP_Contents::getPartName(), which returns the MIME part's own name parameter as supplied by the message, and passes it through sprintf into the text of an IMP_Mime_Status object. IMP_Mime_Status::__toString() concatenates each text entry directly into the surrounding table markup, so the value reaches the rendered page verbatim. A message crafted as multipart/appledouble whose data part carries markup in its name parameter therefore executes script in the context of any user who views it, and the payload persists in the mailbox. Exploitation requires no account on the target system, only the ability to send mail to a user. Version 7.2.0 escapes the value with htmlspecialchars(). The researcher additionally chains this flaw with the arbitrary file read of CVE-2026-58451, and reports that script running in an administrator's session can reach an application code-execution path.

  • Aug 21, 2026Recce is a data-validation toolkit for enhanced dbt (data build tool) PR review.CVE-2026-49360 · Other software · DataRecce · reported by GitHubHigh 7.8

Recce is a data-validation toolkit for enhanced dbt (data build tool) PR review. Prior to version 1.50.0, OSS server deployments that expose the server to an untrusted network without authentication are vulnerable to unauthenticated SQL execution through the query run API. When Recce is configured with a DuckDB-backed project, an attacker can use DuckDB filesystem primitives to read and write files accessible to the Recce server process. The impact depends on how Recce is deployed, but may include disclosure of local files, tampering with Recce/dbt artifacts, modification of browser-served static files leading to stored XSS, and modification of application files if those paths are writable. If Recce is run as root, file access occurs with root privileges inside that host or container. This issue has been patched in Recce `v1.50.0`. Users should upgrade to Recce `v1.50.0` or later. The patch restricts unsafe file read/write behavior for DuckDB-backed query execution and hardens the affected query path. Other warehouse adapters have also been reviewed for similar exposure. Users who cannot upgrade immediately should avoid exposing `recce server` to the public internet or any untruste

  • Aug 20, 2026broot renders each file and directory name in its interactive tree view exactly as read from the filesystem.CVE-2026-72847 · Other software · Canop · reported by VulnCheckLow 2.4

broot renders each file and directory name in its interactive tree view exactly as read from the filesystem. Names are converted with a plain to_string_lossy() call in src/tree_build/builder.rs and in TreeLine::unprune in src/tree/tree_line.rs, and no control-character filtering exists anywhere in the code, even though the doc comment on the TreeLine name field states that some characters may have been stripped. Any local user who can create a file can therefore place an escape sequence in its name and have it written unmodified to the terminal of anyone who browses that directory, between broot's own styling codes. A reported proof of concept used an OSC 52 clipboard-write sequence and captured the raw bytes broot wrote to its pty, confirming the sequence reaches the terminal unstripped. What an injected OSC or CSI sequence can then do depends on the terminal emulator in use. Browsing a directory is broot's primary function and carries no expectation that the content is trusted.

Link Preview JS extracts web links information. Prior to 4.0.4, the resolveDNSHost mitigation in index.ts validates one resolved IP address but fetches the original hostname, allowing an attacker-controlled DNS server to return a public address during validation and a loopback or internal address during the final connection. This DNS rebinding condition bypasses the SSRF protection and can cause the server-side preview fetch to reach internal HTTP resources. Redirect handling is affected by the same validation-to-fetch mismatch. This issue is fixed in version 4.0.4.

n8n before 1.123.69, 2.x before 2.33.4, and 2.34.x before 2.34.1 contain an expression injection vulnerability in resource-locator field link preview rendering. The editor spliced the field's stored value directly into the node type's URL template without checking for expression syntax. An authenticated member can store a malicious value so that when another user opens the affected node in the editor, the injected expression is evaluated as JavaScript in the victim's authenticated session (cross-user script execution).

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, an authenticated user with restricted tenant access could use the Representational State Transfer (REST) API to view the names and identifiers of tenants that fall outside the role scope for that user. The vulnerability is possible because Splunk SOAR does not enforce role-based tenant restrictions when it returns tenant information through the REST API in deployments with multi-tenancy turned on. For more information see REST Roles and Permissions (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-cloud/rest-api-reference/role-management-endpoints/rest-roles-and-permissions) and Configure multiple tenants on your Splunk SOAR (On-premises) instance (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-soar/soar-on-premises/administer-soar-on-premises/7.1.0/configure-product-settings-for-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-instance/configure-multiple-tenants-on-your-splunk-soar-on-premises-instance) in the Splunk documentation.

In Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0, a user who holds a role that contains the playbooks:view permission could view metadata about a playbook repository that they are not authorized to view. The vulnerability is possible because Playbook History does not check repository permissions before returning playbook revision metadata. • Aug 19, 2026In Splunk Enterprise 10.4 versions below 10.4.2, an unauthenticated user could read Prometheus service metrics from the Edge Processor SPL2 Preview sidecar, incCVE-2026-76262 · Other software · Splunk · reported by psirt@cisco.comHigh 7.5

In Splunk Enterprise 10.4 versions below 10.4.2, an unauthenticated user could read Prometheus service metrics from the Edge Processor SPL2 Preview sidecar, including service details that expose relevant runtime and build metadata for the sidecar. The vulnerability does not affect Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4. The information disclosure is possible because the Prometheus metrics endpoint in the Edge Processor SPL2 Preview sidecar lacks authentication, which lets any client that can reach the sidecar retrieve the metrics without credentials. For more information see About Splunk sidecars (https://help.splunk.com/en/splunk-enterprise/administer/admin-manual/10.4/splunk-sidecars/about-splunk-sidecars) in the Splunk documentation.

stigmem-node before 0.9.0a12 contains a broken object level authorization (cross-tenant BOLA) vulnerability in the quarantine review endpoints. On multi-tenant deployments running the opt-in stigmem-plugin-multi-tenant, the list/count queries and _get_quarantined_fact in routes/quarantine.py lacked a tenant_id predicate and the garden lookup was not tenant-scoped, allowing a tenant administrator with only a plain tenant write capability to list, read, and admit or reject quarantined facts belonging to other tenants via the /v1/quarantine endpoints. File Browser is a file managing interface for uploading, deleting, previewing, renaming, and editing files within a specified directory. Prior to 2.63.17, the Link storage struct is serialized directly by sharePostHandler, shareListHandler, and shareGetsHandler through renderJSON, causing POST /api/share/{path} and GET /api/shares to expose password_hash and the bypass token, while an administrator can retrieve these secrets for every user's shares, enabling offline password cracking and direct access to protected shares. This issue is fixed in version 2.63.17.
