  • Mar 11, 2026LearnPress – WordPress LMS: Unauthorized email notification triggeringCVE-2026-3226 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceMedium 4.3

The LearnPress – WordPress LMS Plugin plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized email notification triggering due to missing capability checks on all 10 functions in the SendEmailAjax class in all versions up to, and including, 4.3.2.8. The AbstractAjax::catch_lp_ajax() dispatcher verifies a wp_rest nonce but performs no current_user_can() check before dispatching to handler functions. The wp_rest nonce is embedded in the frontend JavaScript for all authenticated users. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Subscriber-level access and above, to trigger arbitrary email notifications to admins, instructors, and users, enabling email flooding, social engineering, and impersonation of admin decisions regarding instructor requests.

  • Mar 3, 2026AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing.CVE-2026-26266 · Other software · aliasvault · reported by GitHubCritical 9.3

AliasVault is a privacy-first password manager with built-in email aliasing. A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability was identified in the email rendering feature of AliasVault Web Client versions 0.25.3 and lower. When viewing received emails on an alias, the HTML content is rendered in an iframe using srcdoc, which does not provide origin isolation. An attacker can send a crafted email containing malicious JavaScript to any AliasVault email alias. When the victim views the email in the web client, the script executes in the same origin as the application. No sanitization or sandboxing was applied to email HTML content before rendering. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.26.0.[

  • Feb 25, 2026Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers.CVE-2026-27808 · Other software · axllent · reported by GitHubMedium 5.8

Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.29.2, the Link Check API (/api/v1/message/{ID}/link-check) is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF). The server performs HTTP HEAD requests to every URL found in an email without validating target hosts or filtering private/internal IP addresses. The response returns status codes and status text per link, making this a non-blind SSRF. In the default configuration (no authentication on SMTP or API), this is fully exploitable remotely with zero user interaction. This is the same class of vulnerability that was fixed in the HTML Check API (CVE-2026-23845 / GHSA-6jxm-fv7w-rw5j) and the screenshot proxy (CVE-2026-21859 / GHSA-8v65-47jx-7mfr), but the Link Check code path was not included in either fix. The weMail - Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optin Forms, Email Newsletters, A/B Testing, and Automation plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to unauthorized form deletion in all versions up to, and including, 2.0.7. This is due to the `Forms::permission()` callback only validating the `X-WP-Nonce` header without checking user capabilities. Since the REST nonce is exposed to unauthenticated visitors via the `weMail` JavaScript object on pages with weMail forms, any unauthenticated user can permanently delete all weMail forms by extracting the nonce from the page source and sending a DELETE request to the forms endpoint.

The Brevo - Email, SMS, Web Push, Chat, and more. plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass due to type juggling in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.0. This is due to the use of loose comparison (==) instead of strict comparison (===) when validating the installation ID in the `/wp-json/mailin/v1/mailin_disconnect` REST API endpoint. • Feb 16, 2026Emails sent by pretix can utilize placeholders that will be filled with customer data.CVE-2026-2452 · Other software · pretix · reported by 655498c3-6ec5-4f0b-aea6-853b334d05a6High 7.5

Emails sent by pretix can utilize placeholders that will be filled with customer data. For example, when {name} is used in an email template, it will be replaced with the buyer's name for the final email. This mechanism contained a security-relevant bug: It was possible to exfiltrate information about the pretix system through specially crafted placeholder names such as {{event.__init__.__code__.co_filename}}. This way, an attacker with the ability to control email templates (usually every user of the pretix backend) could retrieve sensitive information from the system configuration, including even database passwords or API keys. pretix does include mechanisms to prevent the usage of such malicious placeholders, however due to a mistake in the code, they were not fully effective for this plugin. Out of caution, we recommend that you rotate all passwords and API keys contained in your pretix.cfg https://docs.pretix.eu/self-hosting/config/  file.

Out of caution, we recommend that you rotate all passwords and API keys contained in your pretix.cfg file.

Emails sent by pretix can utilize placeholders that will be filled with customer data. For example, when {name} is used in an email template, it will be replaced with the buyer's name for the final email. This mechanism contained two security-relevant bugs: * It was possible to exfiltrate information about the pretix system through specially crafted placeholder names such as {{event.__init__.__code__.co_filename}}. This way, an attacker with the ability to control email templates (usually every user of the pretix backend) could retrieve sensitive information from the system configuration, including even database passwords or API keys. pretix does include mechanisms to prevent the usage of such malicious placeholders, however due to a mistake in the code, they were not fully effective for the email subject. * Placeholders in subjects and plain text bodies of emails were wrongfully evaluated twice. Therefore, if the first evaluation of a placeholder again contains a placeholder, this second placeholder was rendered. This allows the rendering of placeholders controlled by the ticket buyer, and therefore the exploitation of the first issue as a ticket buye

  • Feb 3, 2026Summary An Insecure Direct Object Reference has been found to exist in `createHeaderBasedEmailResolver()` function within the Cloudflare Agents SDK.CVE-2026-1664 · Other software · reported by cna@cloudflare.comMedium 6.9

Summary An Insecure Direct Object Reference has been found to exist in `createHeaderBasedEmailResolver()` function within the Cloudflare Agents SDK. The issue occurs because the `Message-ID` and `References` headers are parsed to derive the target agentName and agentId without proper validation or origin checks, allowing an external attacker with control of these headers to route inbound mail to arbitrary Durable Object instances and namespaces . Root cause The `createHeaderBasedEmailResolver()` function lacks cryptographic verification or origin validation for the headers used in the routing logic, effectively allowing external input to dictate internal object routing. Impact Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) in email routing lets an attacker steer inbound mail to arbitrary Agent instances via spoofed Message-ID. Mitigation: * PR: https://github.com/cloudflare/agents/blob/main/docs/email.md ] provides the necessary architectural context for coding agents to mitigate the issue by refactoring the resolver to enforce strict identity boundaries. * Agents-sdk users should upgrade to agents@0.3.7

  • Jan 28, 2026When a user explicitly requested Thunderbird to decrypt an inline OpenPGP message that was embedded in a text section of an email that was formatted and styled CVE-2026-0818 · Computers, phones & browsers · Mozilla · reported by security@mozilla.orgMedium 4.3

When a user explicitly requested Thunderbird to decrypt an inline OpenPGP message that was embedded in a text section of an email that was formatted and styled with HTML and CSS, then the decrypted contents were rendered in a context in which the CSS styles from the outer messages were active. If the user had additionally allowed loading of the remote content referenced by the outer email message, and the email was crafted by the sender using a combination of CSS rules and fonts and animations, then it was possible to extract the secret contents of the email. This vulnerability was fixed in Thunderbird 147.0.1 and Thunderbird 140.7.1.

  • Jan 24, 2026Hustle – Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optins, Popups: Arbitrary file uploadsCVE-2026-0911 · WordPress plugins & themes · reported by WordfenceHigh 7.5

The Hustle – Email Marketing, Lead Generation, Optins, Popups plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to arbitrary file uploads due to incorrect file type validation in the action_import_module() function in all versions up to, and including, 7.8.9.2. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with a lower-privileged role (e.g., Subscriber-level access and above), to upload arbitrary files on the affected site's server which may make remote code execution possible. Successful exploitation requires an admin to grant Hustle module permissions (or module edit access) to the low-privileged user so they can access the Hustle admin page and obtain the required nonce.

The email module, specifically the "BytesGenerator" class, didn’t properly quote newlines for email headers when serializing an email message allowing for header injection when an email is serialized. This is only applicable if using "LiteralHeader" writing headers that don't respect email folding rules, the new behavior will reject the incorrectly folded headers in "BytesGenerator".
